According to Pastemagazine.com, Mattel is setting the tone for a throwback Christmas by unveiling the first looks of its Ladies Of The 80s collection, featuring doll versions of CYNDI LAUPER, JOAN JETT and DEBBIE HARRY.
A collection first announced in August, the Ladies Of The 80s dolls will be available for purchase through select vendors. Sandi Holder’s Doll Attic, Mattel’s first ever Dealer Of The Year, offers the Lauper doll for $35.99, as Entertainment Earth sells the Jett doll for $55.79.
The dolls encapsulate the looks the ladies donned in their prime, the Lauper doll in a modified version of her She’s So Unusual cover style, the Jett doll in head-to-almost-toe black (with red Converses) and the Harry doll with her signature blonde-on-black locks

I'm disappointed in the Debbie Harry one but the Cyndi and Joan Jett ones are great.
I wonder if there will be a Stevie one in the next collection?

The Joan Jett's face looks more like Pat Benatar to me ;)

That doesn't like anything LIKE Debbie Harry. I don't recall Debs ever wearing pink PVC or platforms. Stilletto's and short dresses were her thing

I'd love to see a Stevie Barbie, but if I had my way, I wouldn't want her to be in this particular series, because it would likely only give us one outfit.
I'd MUCH, MUCH rather see them do a series like they've done for Cher, featuring classic Cher fashions over the years. They have 70s Cher in the Half Breed ensemble, complete with giant feather headdress. The 80s Cher Barbie is wearing the Turn Back Time outfit (you know the one). The 2000s Cher Barbie is wearing that "ringmaster" outfit with the huge top hat, whip, and not much else. All of those are Bob Mackie fashions, and there's also another Cher Barbie wearing a blue halter gown that Mackie designed specifically for Cher in the 70s (I think).
We could have Rumours cover Stevie, top hat/Rhiannon Stevie, Stand Back cape Stevie, Gold Dust Woman shawl Stevie (comes complete with silver spoon!), rats nest hair/red blanket Sara hobo Stevie, TOSOTM cover Stevie, etc etc etc.
The possibilities are endless, really.
But if the only way I could get a Stevie doll would be to have just one in the 80s line, I would still buy 75 of them and construct a miniature doll army.
If we could get a doll in the 80s line, what would you want her to wear?

The I Can't Wait outfit, complete with lace gloves and shaggy perm. How amazing would that be? With the lace dress and everything. Best doll ever.

I don't think I'm the worst Stevie fanatic, I used to think so until I joined one of these fan forums (Sevenwonders) and saw I was not! LOL. But I've joked on there before how I'd like to dress a mannequin in some Stevie clothes and boots and add a tambourine and stick it over in the corner of a room for people to walk by and see. But I think my family and friends would officially think I have lost my mind lol.

Yup, my exact thoughts. Stevie in all her 80s glory.

Exactly! Before she started looking like a Mae West impersonator. (Not that I don't love Mae West, but you know...)

I was thinking today that on something I recorded (some kind of footage from the Wild Heart Affair(Ball?) in the late '90s, that it shows them giving people some sort of Stevie doll. I'll have to go back and watch this, but I think it was on something from VH-1 (called FanClub?)
