This one would've sounded really cool if it had made it onto TISL, taken to the next level, maybe with the same energy as Fall From Grace.
To clarify, I have this saved as 'Have No Heart'. Anyone know what the correct title is?

You guys are so "on the ball"!! Thank you!
I'm not sure of the offical title, but I am intrigued to listen more and see if I can decifer some meaning of the lyrics. It's mystical, and dark, almost like "Forrest of The Black Roses", and the haunting quality is similar to "Kind Of Woman". I'm really loving this song today.
Thanks again friends!!

Here are the lyrics to Have No Heart...
She was fourteen now, in a year fifteen
Now she was a princess, soon she'd be a queen
She had no friends, she remained far apart
They were afraid of her... she had no heart
And she asked the little man to dance
And he loved her instantly, they say
Enough to even give up his life
Living without her would not be worth living
And the other children danced with her
He was the one she sang to
Sometimes she let him hold her in his arms
And she would taunt him
Just who are you anyway...
Cause you are no one to me... at all
"Why will he not dance again?" she cried
Is he dead, or is he in a trance?
If he had lived, well, he might have made the king smile
But he died of a broken heart
Well, in the future, said she
Send no one to me
Who has a heart
She was fourteen now, in a year fifteen
(In a year fifteen)
Now she was a princess, soon she'd be a queen
And she'll have friends, she won't remain far apart
Maybe someday... she will find a heart
'Cause living away from her just might be worth living
No living away from her would not be worth living
No, living away from her just would not be worth living
She says, "why will he not dance again?"
If he loved her enough to give up his life
(Would not be worth living)
'Cause living without her just wasn't worth living
Maybe one day... she will find a heart
Will have a heart...
Be worth living...
(Oooohhh...)
Please have a heart...
(It's not worth living)

For anyone curious, the song was inspired by Oscar Wilde's The Birthday of the Infanta....though it always reminds me of Great Expectations as well.

thanks for the background...I've always wondered about the lyricss. A fantastic demo. I"m sure this has been discussed before but does anyone know when the vocal was recorded? Was it during the TISL sessions? Her voice to me sounds "younger"...

I started a similar post a couple months ago for "Have No Heart" love.
A really cool Ledgie posted this link to the Oscar Wilde story in response:

I've had this one for yonks - one of my fav demo's. I always thought it was an OSOTM demo until someone told me it was 1995
I never was there
was there when it counts
I get my way
You're so like me
you seemed ashamed
ashamed that i was
a good friend of american soldiers
i'll say it loud here by your grave
those angels can't
ever take my place
