It seems she'd much rather bash Lindsey Buckingham and blame him for all her shortcomings, or talk endlessly about Klonopin in her spare time . In fact, it seems she'll never tire of either, and will never accept any personal responsibility for any of it. Her inability to interact with Lindsey like a grown woman; or admit she brought stinkers to the table for Say You Will (Lindsey can't polish turds!); or that she could have turned down the Klonopin prescription... or at least stopped it quickly, after all, she repeatedly asserted she was just fine before going to see that psychiatrist; or maybe even admit she isn't releasing new material in any medium because she really has been in it for the money all these decades, and now that she's no longer a platinum selling headliner, she sees no point. Can you tell I'm getting a bit disillusioned with the woman? :distress:

interview house in Pacific Palisades.
Calling it her interview house is pretty funny. Every time he goes in, the dog looks around and says, "what are we doing here?"
Do you remember when Stevie said she had to buy a new place for privacy? She said she didn't want everyone seeing who was coming in and out. I thought that was pretty strange, because she wasn't Angelina Jolie at the time. I wondered if she was dating someone that she didn't want the world to know she was dating.

I'm trying to keep the faith too!
She could maybe work more with the wounded military, she said on Chris Issak that, that was the one thing she did other than music that she didn't do in a hurry.
Write a reply to my letter that i wrote her in September! :D
As for the privacy house....maybe Lindsey?

I loved the CV audio commentary so much. I wish we could have her narrating her FM videos like that. But that would have to be included on an FM project, not a solo one, I guess.
If she wants something "new" without a lot of work, just put the unreleased demos out officially. Give us The Dealer and all that stuff.

I'd like to see her on the cover of 'Good Housekeeping', offering her Cal-Mex recipes, instructions on how to make home-made potpourri and sharing her favorite crochet stitches.
And if an interview about taco dip can't segue into tales of Klonopin, well then the art of journalism is truly dead.

It's funny, because people get the munchies when they smoke pot yet we haven't really heard stories about FM binging on Doritos or anything. Well, Lindsey was supposedly really into wheat thins, but we haven't heard all of the food talk that could be revealed.

In the Tusk tour doc, Linds is shown eating potato chips out of the bag while Stevie talks about how they lose time on the road. I just remember it struck me funny, because Lindsey peeks inside the bag before selecting a chip, just like I do (for me, its to find the well-done ones)

A collection of stories, drawings, poems and recipes would be fabulous. Kind of like a Rhiannon meets Julia Child thing. Maybe a margarita recipe to go with the taco dip! Perhaps Fleetwood Mac-eritas!

They could make Stevie's famous nacho dip. A few years ago, I printed out a page or two of old recipes from every Mac member (minus Lindsey). Stevie had a nacho dip that she said was a "great success!" at her last BBQ - does the word 'munchies' mean anything to you, Stevie? Christine did steak, Mick had a fish recipe - "aka what Sara makes for me" - and I forget what John's was. Something with veggies. Does anyone know where those came from/have them?

I KNOW Id be the first on the line to MAX out my credit card!!!.. ohh she could also include some.. CDs or DVD releases on the show.. of course.. maybe belt out a song or two.. in the process! :) Wouldnt that ROCK!?

; or admit she brought stinkers to the table for Say You Will (Lindsey can't polish turds!); :
I agree with most of what you siad but this. She brought him a gem in Smile At You and he basically turned it into something inferior. I can't speak for the rest of the album, i think he did great work on Thrown Down. I doubt Say You Will the song was ever anything special, i woul need to hear Destiny Rules to make a judgement, but all I know for sure is the simple straight forward blues instrumental style on all the Smile At You demos is far superior to what he turned it into. I gurantee that song is one of Stevies main issues with that album. It was one of only 2 of her songs that wasnt even on that rehearsal board in the Destiny Rules Doc.

I think that we all need to accept the fact that Stevie is a gemini, and however wonderful she is she is bound to have a bitchy back-stabbing side.
No offence to any geminis:sorry:, but they have a gazillion personalities (more than just two-faced) one day they're your friend the next day they're your enemy and then they change their minds again. They're confusing people. I bet Stevie will turn around again on this view and say she had a great time with Fleetwood Mac working on SYW and wants to do another album at the end of this tour (I Hope).
She's just a crazy old lady stirring up some interesting revelation for the media to publish over and over when really it's the same power struggle we've been hearing about since rumours:nod:

You're totally right about Geminis. It's a roller-coaster ride from one minute to the next. Never boring, but not always fun...
If the reporters would ask her the same question about SYW five minutes later she would probably say, "LOVED IT! Had a blast. Got along great with Lindsey. It's all good"

When Stevie is not making new music she could be popping over to Perth, Western Australia for coffee with me and we'll see where it leads to from there...(I might need to arrange for my wife to go out though)
She brought him a gem in Smile At You and he basically turned it into something inferior. too true!!
that said, I still dont like many of stevies contributions to the album. The album doesnt work for me, maybe there is enough stuff in there to make a decent lindsey solo record. I dont know.
But fleetwood mac it ain't. I know a lot of people have been discussing this in the Express artlcle thread.

I wonder if she was aware of the Stevie Nicks ballet that was performed in Pittsburgh in 2006? Information about the show was posted on the Nicks fix before the event, but no mention was ever made afterwards. The show was based around the idea of displaying the relationships of men and women through her music.
Timeless (2006)

Dancers: 6
Music: Stevie Nicks
Genre: Cont. Ballet – Pointe
Time: 32 minutes

Sad but so true.....I am thinking Stevie is just lazy & set in her ways & not interested in making any kind of mark in music or anything else.....now of course she is welcomed to 'prove' me wrong.....with a new lp or heck all the outtakes/demos/ext versions etc of all her songs....beautiful pic book....the full BD concert.....she has wonderful options open to her.....but she won't step through that door anymore.......the same set list or the same interviews rehasing the same crap.....boring......take like a whole yr off totally......maybe something will 'snap' into her head......but if this is 'it' well.......than thats the way it goes.......but a sad ending.....on many GHits packages......get back with Jimmy Iovine & record that 'final' LP than.....since hell would have to freeze over for us to get the demos/UR/ext versions stuff.....which is such a shame....or for her brother to do it all when she's gone........at least IMO......anyway....no offence anyone...but I do understand your disillusions on this one totally..........I think I'm more disappointed really.......I think the long nets of white just don't cloud my memory anymore....the magic is gone.......or so it seems......I'll always love Stevie's music.....but............

What she could be doing is hiring a new manager or publicist. I feel like Stevie has so much potential to do so much and reach a whole new audience, but I feel her management or publicist suck at bringing these opportunities to her attention.

I agree with all of these, and the rhiannon ballet a fashion line, movie scoring, film work, she should have her own company. these women stars like the olsen twins, britney, celine dion and jlo are far,far wealthier than she is and she has more talent in her little finger than they do in their whole body.
and she could be doing so much but sadly she just touring with mac doing the greatest hits crap and the same old schtick and telling the same old tired stories about lindsey, old mac stories we have heard a million times and klonopin stries. ZZZZ
God she still has so much talent, listen to these recent demos, its incredible, like that magic demo,I would love to see her do more film scoring and do other things other than these heritage tour things with the mac
.she is so hip among the fashionable crowd too, gay men, women, she should be on a forbes list of most powerful woman int he entertainment world, god even jlo and celine dion have more going on business wise. stevie could have a fashion line a movie out , maybe a production company,or a fashion or jewelry or perfume line , all of these things could be happening but all we are getting is another greatest hits tour. bleagh.
this mac tour may make her some money but it really is a mistake from an artistic perspective, she will probably be exhausted for half a year from this. sad. The mac has always been a mixed blessing for her I feel.
