Lindsey looks like he's gained a little weight over the summer, which is great, because he was looking pretty skinny towards the end of the tour.

I played Mr Buckinghams guitar a couple of hours ago!
I've got some god pictures but I have no idea how to get them up here!!!
HELP!
Since Stevie was in Sweden she wouldn't have been subjected to FCC violations!
Great pictures, do tell about meeting Mr. Buckingham.

A dream of mine came true tonight.
To see my favorite band live for the first time. To experience the songs that mean so much to me, performed by this amazing band.
It was really an emotional experience for me so I't shard being fair when judging the show.
But just some thought:
- Lindsey was on fire tonight, I was especially impressed with his voice, It's so dynamic and versatile and it goes directly into your chest
- Mick was as super crazy and funny as he always seems to be. Love that man!
- While Stevies voice might not have aged as well as Lindsays she compensates this with so much charisma and emotion. Her presence on stage is so powerful
- The band played very tight and most of the songs were amazing in their dynamics and sheer power. The sound was also great!
- I thought there were too many slow songs in the mix sometimes though, the tempo suffered a bit from this. But it's just a minor complaint.
The songs that hit me the hardest this night was:
Go Insane
Big Love
Go Your Own Way
Landslide
I'm so happy right now!!! :blob2::blob2::blob2:

My day started outside Grand Hotel. We were trying to get to meet Stevie. The whole band passed thru us, but Stevie took the backdoor...
Standing front row at the consert was amasing!
A funny thing happened on Stand back. Mick started the song but the synthizeiser did not start. Efter a while Mick stopped and everybody just looked att each other like, what the hell?!
One minute lather Stevie walked in wondering what was going on.
After a couple of minutes the synth was working again and Stevie intruduced the song with; well, this was a new way to do Stand back.
Best songs:
Gold dust woman.
Go your own way.
Storms is one of Stevies best songs ever but I'm sorry, I don't thing it's very good live.
I still don't understand how to upload photos:distress:

Oh my goodness, amazing pictures!!!
Lindsey is presh! Especially in that black coat :)
Thanks for sharing!
I'm sorry I really should be commenting on something less superficial, but Lindsey looks so cute in that one pic where he's shielding his eyes. He looks likes he's saluting something. I strongly feel he's aging well, especially since I'm 98% sure he's had no work done. Just compared to any of his contemporaries (with the exception of Bruce Springsteen who must own some age-retaining serum for men) he just looks SO much better.:xoxo:
Outside of that: wow, the pics are so nice and thanks for sharing! So glad you all are having a great time.:)

I had an amazing time, especially meeting Lindsey! I waited outside the hotel and he came out in the early afternoon and took time signing autographs for everyone (we were like ten people) and posing for pictures. I was amazed that I actually got us both in the pic, my hand didn't shake and I even managed to look decent, all in one go ;) He was very sweet, gracious and calm.
One funny thing was later on, when they got in their cars to go to the arena, Lindsey came out with his wife and everyone was yelling "Stevie, Stevie!" I even heard some guy say after they left to some other guy "Did you notice how Lindsey went to the other side of the car? That was because Stevie got in on this side." And they were like "Oh really, I didn't recognise her!" Because it wasn't her, I thought... Poor Kristen.
Anyway, the show was amazing, I thought they sounded great and seemed happy and energetic. Stevie smiled, blew kisses to the audience and shook some hands at one time. She dedicated Landslide to the "magnificent" and "truly beautiful" city of Stockholm and said it was too bad they were only staying one day but it was better than none. Lindsey was his usual crazy self, lol, and when he came over to my side of the stage he stood and jumped right in front of me and I decided it was best to take my hands off the stage...
All in all, I had the greatest time! :]

I hate to say I told you so but, I told you so.
The reviews from Stockholm is...well, bad.
Expressen: "Fleetwood Mac is like an uninspired jukebox." About John: "He plays the bass. Sometimes I think he does'nt even know it."
About Stevie: "She's so uninspired, she forgets to go onstage for Stand back".
About Lindsey: "An insensitive player".
Aftonbladet: No one can do Landslide like Stevie Nicks (Ah, one good thing!). Lindseys voice is bad. No passion from the band.
Every review tells us that Stevie missed the intro to Stand Back (she did not, it was trouble with the synth).
Swedish reviewers (read: from the capitol of Sweden) are like this I'm afraid.
Ah well, I was there, I know it was fantastic!

The problem in Stockholm is, that it's a small town and the reviewers know each other pretty well.
No one wants to be the first one to admit that a band playing (what they think) main stream music is any good.
Thats why we call them "skitnödiga". They try so hard to be cool that they put up a sour/morose face on every concert, it lookes like they need to go to the toilet. "Skit" is **** in english, "skitnödig" is when you need to go and take a **** ;).
The only one who always get good press is Bruce. I saw him twice in Stockholm this summer and well, it was good but never as good as they wrote in the papers. Bruce is God for the swedish press.
I think God is a woman, and her name is Stevie.

A GOOD review from Sweden!!!
1 h from Stockholm is a town called Uppsala, and as I said before, the bad press comes from Stockholm. Uppsala is NOT Stockholm.
It says (short version):
"Can a band who was at it's best 30 years ago still be interesting? Yes.
It is odd to see, that the drama that brought us Rumours, still is present at stage. The songs are often rearranged with nerve and passion.
Stevie Nicks voice is quite sore, but her stage precense is undeniable.
Lindsey Buckingham is a brilliant guitarplayer in Big Love and Landslide, and mayby it's there, in the ballads that Nicks and Buckingham makes the biggest impression.
Who said rock must be dead at 60?"
Thank you SOOOO much Uppsala nya Tidning, for this!

This thread does it all for me, and I'm sure for everyone else. I'm laughing, I'm smiling, I'm jealous, I'm crying- and I totally love it. Congrats to all of you all and it is so good to hear that the Mac is still changing lives, and influencing people for the better. Magical night, magical people- this is what dreams are made of. We are so lucky that we get to see and listen to these guys still after all of these years. Really do hope that they come back with some, either touring, or preferably a new album THEN a tour!!
I love these guys, and they have changed my life almost more than anything else ever has, and I'm glad to see you all having such an amazing time!!!
Thanks for everything Fleetwood Mac!!!!!

My day started outside Grand Hotel. We were trying to get to meet Stevie. The whole band passed thru us, but Stevie took the backdoor...
Aww! That figures. But, not surprising...
Man, it must really suck for Kristen to be so confused all the time with a woman who is almost twice her age and who she bears little or no resemblance to at all (besides having long, "blonde" hair). How strange that fans wouldn't know she wasn't Stevie, but they recognized Lindsey enough to assume it was Stevie who was with him. (I'm sorry, that's just funny!)

Thanks for all the pics and vids, love them! I was at the show too and I agree, the newspapers doesn´t have a clue what they´re talking about. It was a great show and I thought the sound was pretty good too. The whole band sounded geat I think and I had a pretty good view of the stage from where I was sitting (section A24).
I´ve been a fan since 1978 but this was my first time seeing the band live and I´m really glad I went. Might post some pics later when I get them sorted!:D

Excellent, How the hell did you know hotel Lindsey was staying in ?
Did they do Silver Springs ?
:):)
Most big bands stay at The Grand Hotel and I was there too a couple of times that day but missed them! Was hoping to finally meet John and have my picture taken with him but I guess my timing was lousy as usual!:distress:
My big question is: Did anyone meet John, and if so, did you get any pics?

We saw him on his way out from the hotel to his limo.
It all went very fast and he just waved and said hi and left.
No photos, we were all waiting for Nicks.
And as one in here allready have said, when Lindsey left she did it whth a tiny blond girl and everybody yelled STEVIE!!!
I did too:o...
But I also felt sorry for her, she looked confused and uncomfortable, I wonder how often people make that mistake, thinking she's Stevie....

The thing is, she walked behind a big guard and all we saw was just the blond hair. It was a reflex to yell:laugh:!
The most fun about this, I think, is that Lindsey has picked a Steviecopy as wife. Small and blond.

I saw video of STand Back from this concert and must say that everchange in this song is interesting. Stevie sing it differently in some parts and also at the end there is some guitar change. It´s great that they change it still and don´t stay in something long time... but it´s not like in 80s or 90s when this song was really different in each tour.

Maybe Kristen keeps her hair like that because it is her natural hair color and she probably doesn't feel the need to have to change her hair because it's the same color as Stevie's. She may not even care because she doesn't feel threatened. It's weird that people think LB was looking for a Stevie look-alike because I don't think they look a thing alike. Stevie is like some Medieval princess/boho gypsy and Kristen looks like some LA soccer mom/society chic. The blond hair is the *only* thing even remotely similar about them physically, and for goodness sakes...does every brunette woman look like Catherine Zeta-Jones or Angelina Jolie?
(Not attacking anyone, I just don't see the correlation and felt like sharing.)

I agree. I don't think they look alike. I think that Kristen looks almost Nordic sometimes. The time when I see the most resemblance between Kristen and Stevie is when Kristen's face is not visible. For instance, the picture inside Under the Skin, where she's only photographed from the back -- I do think she looks like Stevie there and it's because of her clothing and the fact that her features aren't visible (which I found strange, but whatever).
Most of the time though, they look worlds apart to me. Michele

Hi everyone! :wavey: I'm a new user and had to create an account just to thank you for these fabulous pics and post some of mine. Hope you'll like them.
This was my first Mac concert although I've been a fan since I was 10 years old and that's why the Stockholm gig was extra special for me. I arrived from Finland and had the pleasure to meet Mick and Lindsey in front of the Grand Hotel. I also saw John twice, but he was passing through so quickly I didn't get his autograph or even a pic. Meeting Stevie would have been a lifelong dream coming true for me, but it didn't happen this time. I guess she was feeling a bit tired and she seemed to have a sore hip during the show so I can't blame her for hiding inside the hotel ;)
I saw Emmeline at the hotel (recognized you from the wonderful pic you posted!) and had a nice chat with GrahnNicks too. We were the fantastically stupid people who mistaked Kristen for Stevie and shouted their lungs out  Oh well, we were a bit hyped up weren't we?
Anyway, the show was wonderful and I couldn't help myself from moving to tears many times during the evening. Rhiannon, Landslide, Storms, Silver Springs...pure pleasure! Lindsey's Big Love and Never Going Back Again were fantastic too. Still my favourite moment in the show was the classic song The Chain which is one of my all time favourite songs ever. Hearing John playing that magical bassline live was something out of this world!

I stood almost right in front of Stevie (felt unreal to be that close) and during her little speech before Gypsy I remember thinking; oh how sweet, she's lisping a little.
Now I'm wondering, did I misheard or does she lisp?!
It sometimes sounds like it in early interviews too, but I could be wrong..?

I think she lisps. I also think she pronounces her "r" as "w" sometimes. Hey, Elmer Fudd is sexy.

Yeah, her "r" isn't "r", lol :) Sometimes in songs it's clearer :)

Well, admittedly it's difficult to pronounce "San Francisco" without sounding a bit slurry on the sibilant consonants. Or the clusterf*** of alliteration "...sings a song, sounds like she's singin'." I think, if anything, she's got a bit of a lazy "R." Seven wondahs. Blue Wattuh. Give to me yo-ah leathah. Sistah of the Moon. No spoken wood.

She isn't very good at any sort of sound that needs enunciation, though, i.e. "protection" in Dance version Sweet Girl. To these ears, it always sounds like she's singing "protession" and then I go to "procession" and then I'm at a funeral and an Emily Dickinson poem...which is all a lot more interesting than most of the lyrics to Sweet Girl, so in a way, I'm glad she can't say it!
I've always had a theory that a big part of her dislike for stage talk and her stage fright comes from insecurity about what I think is a slight speech impediment.

She will or coke will for her?
I can't think of a show where she's spoken on stage for any length of time without a plethora of "um"s "and so's" or that weird measured voice she uses to keep herself on pace being thrown in...or without fact errors when she's trying to get a story out.
Although, I must confess, these always make me smile because I sometimes get oddly nervous when talking to people myself (ledgies, you better hold my secrets near and dear to your heart), and I'll often find words coming out of my mouth that I know are wrong. I just keep going, though, for fear that if I stop, I'll never start again.

As you all know, the reviews in Stockholm were bad. What you pherhaps did'nt know was that ever since, there's been a debate in the swedish press about reviewers work. Two of the reviewers were watching soccer att the same time as the concert (Aftonbladet, Expressen) and their readers and colleges have been furios ever since.. Jan Gradvall (also Expressen) has now put an end to the debate with this (very well written and so to the point if you ask me):
Fleetwood Mac’s Swedish concert reviewers…reviewed!
During the Fleetwood Mac concert at the Globe reviewers looked at football. Jan Gradvall notes to the audience, in return, has the eyes of reviewers.
On Saturday, one could witness Scenes from a marriage of two different scenes in Stockholm.
One idea was the Royal Dramatic Theater Small Stage with Jonas Karlsson, Livia Millhagen. The second show was at the Globe with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks in the leading roles.
Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album is rock music's equivalent of Scenes from a Marriage.
Like Ingmar Bergman's TV series and play, it is a work from the mid-70s, in which private experiences may be a general sense by a total mastery of the artistic expression.
What is interesting is how different these two similar shows watched by critics.
In the theater world is sitting critic concentrated in a darkened theater and wait until the show is described as final.
Within the rock critic world are today connected to the Internet throughout the show, handing out value judgments scene for scene, twittrar and write blogs.
That journalism today are using Twitter, Facebook and blogs as tools is a matter of course. Not least given that it is now on the web that the greatest number of readers there.
But it is obvious that the criticism would deal with it? What makes real-time monitoring of power to the criticism?
Customers in recent days has been on the net could see how readers rebelled against the four Stockholm-based newspapers disparaging reviews of Fleetwood Mac concert.
Many have been provoked by a picture blog where Expressen and Aftonbladet reviewers sit together and follow the football match, Denmark-Sweden in parallel with the marriage drama played out on stage.
The major events in Fleetwood Mac concert was - just about in Bergman's TV series and play - the smallest gestures.
The song "Sara" is about abortion. It is a complicated love drama, written by Stevie Nicks, which depicts the relationship between Stevie Nicks, drummer Mick Fleetwood, his wife Sara Fleetwood and Don Henley of the Eagles.
Text line "When you build your house / I'll come by" supposed to be all about Don Henley and Mick Fleetwood.
But during the concert on Saturday may be the song a new dimension. Midway track goes up to Stevie Nicks Lindsey Buckingham and gives him a long hug.
Is also the track on Stevie Nicks long relationship with Lindsey Buckingham? It was he who could become the father of the unborn child?
"Silver Springs" is one of rock history's bitterest and most powerful love songs. The song is about how Lindsey Buckingham Stevie Nicks left for another woman.
When band leader Mick Fleetwood decided that the song was rejected by Rumors on the basis of LP-disc limited playing time - the song ended up instead in the b-side of single "Go your own away - Stevie Nicks became so bitter in Mick Fleetwood that she threatened to leave the band.
During a concert in 1990 she changed the lyrics to "Gold Dust Woman". After looking towards Mick have sung "Take your silver springs and dig your grave!" She left the stage. And then left the band for several years.
On this tour ends Fleetwood Mac "Silver Springs" as the final encore.
Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood comes out on stage side by side. Stevie and Lindsey are looking for each other's hands before the song.
When Stevie Nicks then sings "I know I could have loved you / But you would not let me" is not just the band members' eyes that glisten.
The audience at the sold-out Globe Arena reminded about Dramaten than a typical rock concert.
Average age was somewhere around 57th And the average number of marriages per visitor somewhere around 1.7.
But the verdict from the reviewers days could be summed up: "maddeningly dull".
That concert-goers and readers are angry at reviewers are nothing new. But again is that social media has made that now even the reviewers will be watched and reviewed. And sometimes corrected.
Swedish Dagbladet's reviewer made fun of the Steve Nicks in his long, personal introduction to "Gypsy" - which turned out to be about her first time with Lindsey Buckingham - Confusing the 60's band when she started talking about the Velvet Underground.
But concert-goers informs in a comment to the concert review. As Stevie Nicks spoke of is the Velvet Underground, she mentions in the lyrics: a clothing store in downtown San Francisco.
Rock Critics seem to have concluded that constant connection makes it now needs less effort at work. Readers they are talking about the opposite.
Almost all the songs at concerts are also now on YouTube afterwards, the public tender.
It is no longer the critic who has the last word. To quote the title of Thomas Anderson's recent book on criticism: We are all critics.
The visitors to the Globe on Saturday that gave the best journalistic narrative of the concert was the person standing in front of the stage held up a camera phone during Lindsey Buckingham solo version of "Big Love".
With this simple tool to tool - a camera can be a pen, a pencil can be a camera - achieves this amateur critic as critic heel up in the gallery is not brokered.
Through this story we follow down to the concert floor.
We'll see Lindsey Buckingham tense temples. We can relive the exorcism he practices with his acoustic guitar. We can almost feel how it smelled in Stockholm on Saturday evening.
And when the person with the mobile camera at the end of the song turns around, we'll also see how the audience reacts to the performance.
Writing reviews is not just about making a thumbs up or thumbs down. The idea is to reproduce in detail.
These are things that, at least in the past, been the foundation of what critics do.

Yes, printed yesterday. Aftonbladet is the largest evening paper, with Expressen close behind. Svd, who this reporter mention in the Gypsy part, is the largest morning paper.
I think a little bit got lost in the translation, the original text in Svd talkes about when they moved to SF, not about sex, but the point is, the reviewer in Svd does'nt have a clue what Stevie is talking about...yet he's mocking her.
Anders Nunstedt, reporter at Expressen and one of two who were watching soccer parallell to the concert (and even published a photo of himself doing it...how smart was that?) and the cause of the debate, has had a very painful week, I can tall you that much:nod:.
I think Jan Gradvall, the reporter above, is kind of brave to write this critical text about Anders Nunstedt (whos name is'nt mentioned, but everyone knows it's him). Nunstedt is after all a college at the same newspaper.
The mention of Svd is natural, they are rivals.
