At least it's something to look at on your lazy Sunday afternoon :)

I thought Fleetwood Mac was strong from the first day. Put MacVie, Buckingham and Nicks together as singers, and you had a great trio:.....It was a lot of fun from the beginning.
Would someone please remind dear Stevie that Fleetwood Mac's 'first day' did not include Buckingham, Nicks, or C. McVie?

Still, it's Stevie, it's a cute interview, and I love the last paragraph. I do think she has a subtle and underrated sense of humor.

Who thinks she a big country singer??

The idea of the 4 of them looking at each other and then deciding to make the decision to take all of their things to Australia is interesting. I'd like to see the 4 of them all looking at each other.

She is indeed a comic. Thank you for posting.

Yeah apparently so cheap that bookkeepers and housewives were doing as much blow as Fleetwood Mac!This interview has a few comments that beggars belief.

I think Columbia was thankful when Fleetwood Mac stopped doing coke, actually!

Now she and the late great Tammy Wynette were in Betty Ford at the same time in 1986..Perhaps someone there got them confused:shrug:That 's all I can think of.

I doubt that most regular folks were doing AS much coke as FM...lol

The last sentence is the best of the whole article. :)

HAHAHAHA--Stevie, our very own little comedian. It's always funny because when she speaks, she is dead serious, haha.

Perhaps everyone thought it during her big hair days.

I don't know how serious she is, but she will say things with a completely straight face. I mean, she'll laugh at things that aren't really funny, but then she'll say, "It sounds like John fell off the stage," with a complete sober (even grave) face. She'd make a good poker player.

Stevie. LOL.

Best Stevie quote of 2009:

"Everything I'm saying now is complete crap.":laugh:

It's interesting, she's still saying the same old crap in these interviews, but it seems she gets a little bit ornerier in tone the older she gets. She used to never curse, and everything she used to say was veiled in softness. But she's unapologetic these days... I like that. This is what I am. Like it or don't like it, take it or leave it. I made it all this way, I don't really give a crap what anyone else thinks. The days of her endlessly explaining herself and almost apologizing for her kookiness seems to be long over. Now she just needs to use some of that decisiveness to get her ass into the studio and record some new work! With or without the Mac! I want the New Orleans song damnit!! :D

Well if you believe her in this interview she is just as creative as she was her 20s so she must be just sitting on a batch of new songs the calibre of Dreams ,Silver Springs,Rhiannon ,Landslide and Gold Dust Woman!

This was a good interview. I had heard most of it before (as usual), but good still. Sometimes I wish these interviewers would ask some new questions...I mean, we all know Stevie was on coke, and got off of it...it's old news, and it certainly does not define her as a person...why don't they ask something like..."Can you sing us a little riff of a new song you're writing?".....lol...a girl can dream!

This doesn't sound like a new interview as much as it sounds like a bunch of random quotes strung together in stream-of-conscious twitter style. If it sounds like she's regurgitating the same rhetoric again, it's because someone else is doing the regurgitating for her!

Yes, the "in her own words" style is a giveaway.

Stevie did not sit there and talk uninterrupted for an hour (what a good read that would be). They took quotes and leftover passages from other interviews and combined them. But I hadn't seen some of the comments before. So, I guess it's new to me.

Speaking of interview styles, sometimes the celebrities interview each other. Sandra did it to Stevie and Stevie has done it to someone else, but what I would like is for people in FM to do it to each other. That would be so much fun, Mick interviewing Stevie, John interviewing Lindsey. Any combo would work. At least I think we could trust them not to ask each other what it was like making Rumours after all their relationships fell apart.

LOL. Don't bet on it Michele!

Btw, sometimes what we read are simply works of the PR department and not the actual artist at all. So, I take them with a grain of salt.

There could be / are many political, financial and business reasons for that. Just because we all want to have new Stevie material doesn't mean a record company thinks the same... :sorry:

I agree. I think artists today are slaves to the record companies...if what they do is commercial and can make tons and tons of money, the record companies will push their albums...if not, they are basically stuck between a rock and a hard place. I imagine Stevie is just as creative as always...she just isn't getting support from the industry because 1) she doesn't make what is considered popular music today and 2) there is a factor of ageism involved. Imagine how difficult it is for a 61 year old woman to compete with 20 something girls who walk around practically naked all the time and are in the tabloids every day...even if she is far superior to (at least) most of them.

she doesnt need a record label behind her DOES SHE???????
she could start her own
she could release songs purely on itunes etc...[i know she would be mortified ]
but there's tons of things she could do to share off her fabulousness
she doesnt need a new album. that's not what i was talking about
if she's writing a book...children's books...this art show...all this multitasking she's doing i'd just like to see SOMETHING as proof, u know? :p
