Vera Lynn beats the Beatles (P. Floyd)

[iamnotafraid]

Dame Vera Lynn has the number one record in Britain.
Vera at age 92 has beaten the Beatles and the Artic Monkeys
to reach the number one spot. She has become the oldest
"living" artist to have a number one on the charts.

The reason I noticed this was because of the reference to
her on the Pink Floyd album "The Wall".

I had no idea she was still alive, much less a number one
album???? Vera, Vera what has become of you?

[wheart]

wow, that is really cool. I never knew who the hell she was when I listened to "The Wall" a gazillion times back in the day.

Yeah that is pretty cool. Like you, I've listened to "The Wall" a million (gazillion) times.
