Two things:

With over 13,000 songs in my iTunes folder, I tend to have a lot of various music artists in there somewhere. I've heard of Stereophonics but I've never actually listened. Advice for a newbie? I'm always up for new albums.

Also, I start creating all these insane scenarios in my head every time I see your signature picture.... maybe you've posted it before, but I'm interested in all of your Fleetwood Mac meeting experiences (apparently, especially with Lindsey). Can you (or someone) either explain or link me? Curiosity is killing me!

He even knows my name now! IN a good way of course. Ive met Mick probably 5 or 6 times. Never met Stevie or John though. As far as the Stereophonics go, I'd love to steer you to some of my favorites. OH btw that them with me in the bigger middle Sig pic. Let me know what toud be interested in learning about them and I'll be happy to share.

I'm personally most fond of "Dakota" and "Maybe Tomorrow", two of their bigger songs.

I saw them open for David Bowie in Moline, IL back in '04. We were front row that night, and I recall that we were the only ones actually in our row for the opening act. It was an interesting study to watch a world-famous (they're way more popular in Europe than here) British act slosh their way through a set as an opening act in the picture-perfect definition of a red state cowtown. Bowie's band wasn't much better, either.

Dani - I'd recommend Performance and Cocktails (1998, I think), mainly for the song The Bartender and the Thief. I've never really liked much they've done since then.

I was listening to these guys recently and I don't mind them. I don't find them that great but I enjoyed them.

The release date for the new cd has been changed to November 16th so as not to conflict with the November 9th release of Robbie Williams' new cd.

God help us...yes, Robbie Williams is popular over here. However, his last album bombed and he's been off the scene for the past couple of years. In the meantime, his old band Take That have reformed and are doing brilliantly without him! He very publicly snubbed them by refusing to participate, even at homecoming gigs in Machester (he copped out by appearing via hologroam, for f**k sake!)

Of course now, after a huge flop album and as publicity for his next one, he's has said he'd like to work with them again... I hate Robbie Williams! All her ever does is bitch and moan...

It's great news that there is a new Stereophonics album. Thanks for posting David.

Agree that Robbie is a more popular artist in the UK but it seems like he isn't quite as popular in Aberdeen:laugh:. But then Scotland........well it aint England!

I heard a few of the tracks last week and they were much more like the older Stereophonics work. I think it will be a great album.
