View Full Version : If you could ask Stevie ONE question, what would you ask?

And if she absolutely had to be honest:
With all of the gazillion songs you have written, why is it taking you sooooo long to put out a new album?

Viv - you're asking us to do the impossible! ;)
Hmm... I think I'd have to ask her a personal question. Not a music-related one.
What that personal question would be I have no idea.
EDIT: Okay, let's face it: It would most likely be about her love life! I just find it so intriguing.
I'm excited to read other people's questions because I would have no clue! If I was ever in her presence I'd probably be so nervous I'd just start crying or something so yeah... I don't envision myself actually formulating a complete sentence (question) in front of her hahaha.

That is a really difficult question. I would probably ask her for a thousand more questions :)
My sister (who hates Stevie because of my obsession) says:
"I would ask her, 'straight up, are you or are you not a witch? I won't alert authorities. Just tell me what's up.'"
Thank you, Lexi.
I would probably ask her if it has been worth it to reveal her pain to herself and millions of others over and over again for the sake of her art. I would want her to explain.

Interesting, though, either way.

I also have a million questions I would love to ask her. My ultimate dream is to spend a "regular day" with Stevie, doing regular stuff, haha. No really...I just think, to really get to know someone, you have to spend regular time with them doing normal stuff. SOOO....even though this thread says post ONE question you'd ask her, here are some of the questions I would ask Stevie if we were chilling at her house oneday (because, that is totally going to happen--I had a dream about it once, lol).
1. What is your favorite snack?
2. Who the hell is THE love of your life (and don't give me some run around answer either, I want ONE name)?
3. What does your exercise attire consist of?
4. How often do you wash your hair and how long does it take, start to finish, to blow dry/straighten?
5. How many men have you actually slept with (and be honest, it's okay...you tell me and I'll tell you my dirt)?
6. Are you really going to write a book (because I'm thinking that needs to happen ASAP)?
7. What was your most embarrassing moment on the road, ever?
8. Was Lindsey violent in your pre-Fleetwood Mac romantic relationship?
9. How many times did you and Lindsey re-hook-up over the years?
10. What do you do when you're home all alone, not touring, not in the studio, just home by yourself?
11. What does your bathing suit look like and where can I get one just like it?
There are hundreds more I'd love to ask her, especially about her writing and songwriting, etc. But...I think, if given one day with Stevie, I think we'd totally have a fun time and I'd get more out of her than she'd probably realize I was probing for (I have a sneaky way of doing that to people).

One of these days, I'm going to make a giant list of all the things I would ask her considering I am convinced that God would not let me get so close to officially "meeting" her TWICE without some type of payback down the road. Your questions are hilarious, though-- love it !

Not necessarily-- I didn't mean it like that at all. I am more likely to believe that she isn't currently in a relationship with a man or woman (for all we know) which is why I spoke of any female sexual encounters in the past tense. All I'm saying is that there's a start to everything and with time, the ability to reflect on it-- I could have said the exact same thing about her relationship with any man in her past.

I have to admit i'd ask her if she is really a Wiccan (not gonna say witch). Because I myself am a practicing Wiccan as is my mom and we both think she is, but because she is famous won't admit to it. We both are careful who we tell and we definently aren't famous! Idk, i heard her say in an interview that she liked to think of herself as Glinda, and not a black magic witch, which made me think ok she's got to be a Wiccan. I could go on....lol.....

Doesn't the pyramid that she wears/wore have symbolic meaning in Wicca? I've never looked it up myself (maybe I should), but someone once pointed that out to me.

Mmmh not sure myself actually I know that the moon holds alot of significance there's a ritual called Drawing Down the Moon where the high priestess invokes the goddess. She does wear a crescent moon. Never seen the pyramid though heard of it though. Any pictures? The black clothing is too "stereotypical" in my opinion I don't run around wearing black! But the clothing is pretty though I will admit. Idk I just think she's got the vibe so free, and everything. Idk, like I said above I think she's probably afraid because of being famous. But I will look up the pyramid's signifance though. My goddess is Isis who is an egyptian goddess so I should know this! Anyway, enough witchiness, i don't wanna make anyone mad!

You can see the pyramid there. From what I just looked up myself, it seems that a four pointed pyramid is the one with significance (four pointed meaning the pyramid is viewed in 3-d). A google search led me here: http://wicca.timerift.net/laws/pyramid.shtml .

Oh, I have one that's kind of silly, but whatever - it just randomly came to me:
How long have your tambourines been silenced? Did you ever really play live on stage?
I love Stevie and how she always tries to play tambo, but from what I can tell she never actually does play! From the HBO special in '81 to live with Bob Welch to anything really. I haven't seen it. And she even commented on it: "They give her a tambourine but they won't let her play" or something like that - I love how she always talks about herself in the 3rd person too! Hahaha.

Well there's always Mick or Bobbye Hall actually playing when she's with FM or solo. Maybe she is though, I'm not sure.
I need to find that clip where she talks about how they give her a tambourine but won't let her play - I want to say it's when she's starting "Gold and Braid" during either '81 HBO concert or '83 US Festival.

My questions would all be personal.
1. What is your relathionship with Joe Walsh like now?
2. Is it awkward when you run into Joe like at the 1998 RRHOF induction ceremony?
3. How many times have you and Lindsey hooked up after your break-up?
4. If he weren't married would you hook up with him now?
5. You've been with Lindsey and Mick. Have you ever hooked up with John?
6. You were once estranged from Kim Anderson and his son Matthew. How and when were you able to patch things up with him/them?
7. Will you marry me?

I haven't read them all yet, but you guys have come up with really good questions. I've only managed to narrow it down to 2...I couldn't choose between them ;)
I would ask her if she would tell me her life story...and by that I mean everything...the good, the bad, the exciting, and the boring. Its a story I would love to hear her tell.
and
I would ask if I could just sit very quietly in the corner of what ever room she writes her music in and just watch and listen. As someone who thinks she's the coolest chick to ever exist, it would be beyond amazing have that experience...to observe her privately at work...to actually be witness to her writing her brilliant songs and playing the piano. (I really hope that doesn't sound weird...I didn't mean it to be :p )

Two PHENOMENAL questions. I would love to ask both of them myself. Considering my biggest source of admiration for Stevie is derived from her ability to turn experience into artwork, both an understanding of the experiences themselves and her personal artistic process would be hugely interesting to me.

I'm glad you like my questions. :) I agree with you on her artistic expression. I think there is something amazing about any sort of creativity...but to take your own experiences...things that are real...and channel them into something else and share it with the world...thats special. I would love to observe her go through that process!

One thing I've always been curious about, and I don't think she has ever said much on, is how her parents felt during the drug years. They couldn't have been oblivious to what she was doing. I wonder if they ever talked about it, how much she told them, etc.
I know she had said at one point they didn't want her to get into the music business because they were afraid she would become this 80-pound burn out before she hit 30.

that is one of the hottest music videos I have ever seen with lori and stevie
as close as you can get to non nude porn. incredible how beautiful and sexy these two women are, they even have that 80's sort of trampy high hair. great stuff.this is every guys dream having these women singing to you like that, they get so close and the looks they give each other!
the questions for stevie would be useless really, she would answer one way and then next year it would be completly different.you could end up schizoprhenic trying to sort through her stories over the years, like her true loves, her favorite songs, defintions of songs,etc..
until the journals and the bio come out we'll all be guessing
my question would be when is this rhiannon movie ever going to take flight?

I heard there were several ladies involved. Also heard there were some photos taken that were floating around, but that was years ago. And I'd like to say that there was always something about Lori that I found exciting. It might have been the fact that she had a kind of wild look about her....or the fact that she had really big boobs. I think that Lori looks scary in that video..like, she might punch somebody out if they came inbetween her and Stevie. And Sharon's hair is horrific. Overall, I love this video, actually, lol. I just watched it on my ipod while driving down the freeway (yeah, I'm a safe driver).

OK.....I would ask Stevie if she could see a little girl in her life (with "Stevie eyes, an angelic voice, and the sweetest voice saying "Mommy I Love You"), would she have given it all up?...sometimes I think she would have liked to have a child. Just my opinion...

She did have a child...a love child with Lindsey--and they gave her up for adoption...and that girl was ME, hahaha.

I'm curious. How many of you would really like to ask Stevie about all the wild stories and rumours you've heard about. Just to find out, if she is honest, if it's true. I go for the wild sexy side of Stevie and have heard a good bit of stuff ( x rated to be sure) that I would love to find out about. In other words, questions I'm not about to put on this board but man, would I love to sit down and ask Stevie about in a complete off the record chat. Am I the only one?

Am I the only one?Probably not, but I'd like to ask Stevie whether she has ever been to the Hollywood Bowl for the annual July 4th performance of the 1812 Overture, with fireworks & cannon.

I'm sure at the barnes and noble greeting, she was asked a lot of questions.
I was there and I got star struck. The people who at Barnes and noble did
mention when a new cd was coming out......

And if she absolutely had to be honest:
With all of the gazillion songs you have written, why is it taking you sooooo long to put out a new album?

If I were going to ask Stevie one question, it would be,
"Why is Nicksfix down and could you please call John Kinney to get it fixed?" :D

There are so many millions of things that I'd want to say to her. I guess I could ask:
"Stevie, Can I play in your band???? ;)

I bet it was Sharon. I think Lori fell in love with Stevie's brother on this tour.
One story. Someone (maybe a bellhop?) entered La Nicks' hotel room in the late 70s, early80s, only to find her making out with what sounds like it was Lori and/or Sharon.
I wish I could find that again. It was posted years ago on some random forum.

She seems to be close to Lindsey's daughters.....Stevie just said in a recent
interview, they go into her dressing room and wear her shawls and puts on
her shoes. And the question was asked does Lindsey's kids like you and she
said yes.....
Interesting. If Kristin was out of the picture Stevie would have three stepchildren.
Given if she and Lindsey got back together...

I'd ask her what her favorite song she's written is.
She's said in interviews that they're all like her children that she cant pick just one, But Im willin to bet she'd be able to pick at least a top 10.
Us ledgies are able to do it

Theres just too many to 'ask' her. Of course like someone else stated she can't recall last week what she has said in an interview.....so I guess it doesn't matter what she'd tell me. I'd probably make her mad with my question. Probably one at least would be:
Why don't you release a masters/demo/extended versions/outtakes/etc. set of cds aka: like Bob Dylan does (go into explaining the Dylan set which I really don't know about other than hearing about it here/cause I don't think Stevie has like any clue about it) with rare photos etc. Make a really nice package with it. Or why not release all her solo LP's with extras (and we know they could be BIG box sets(meaning at least 3/4 cd of LP extras/one DVD--of course I am dreaming really but....) here with great outtake pictures with each LP esp the Covers too. Also with a DVD included. Plus re-issue the BD/live set on DVD with tons of extras all the outtakes.
Or I'd ask about a coffee table book /with tons of unreleased photos taken through the years.....why she can't use the NET to her own advantage.....but well we all know how she 'feels' about it all........anyway.....all great questions so far....from everyone......
Plus if not release a 'NEW' cd with dvd than just go through all the 'old' outtakes etc and release those.....with rare pictures again......its like how hard is that really.......I'd love to have that stuff on cd.....:lol:
