Why have I not heard this before tonight?! I like it -- it's neat to hear SOTM before Tusk was released.
I love SOTM any and every way, but this is particularly interesting.

Stevie's vocals are a little slowed down and I also noticed that she repeats the first part of the song later on instead of the "So we make our choices" part.

Check it out:

I had the mp3 of this about 10 years ago now! I definitely love this one. From Lindsey's sharing of one verse, to Christine's vocals, to the more simplistic nature of the performance... it's just great. Of course, I"m never one to turn down any version of Sisters!

Thanks for this heads-up. I'm a bit of a collector of these various Sister Of The Moons. So many great versions!

Very interesting. In our thread on the Mirage video version we had mistakenly assumed Lindsey's singing the bridge was a 1982 creation.

No, we didn't assume that. We knew that Lindsey did the same thing in 1978.

There's a recording floating around of Walter Egan's live rendition of "Sisters of the Moon," recorded God-knows-when but probably around the time between Rumours & Tusk. He arranges the song (for full band) in a manner similar to the Stevie Nicks piano demo. He even sings those words: "And the knowledge stands between us" &c.

I always thought it was interesting that Egan said that Lindsey put the kabosh on Egan having that song on his album.

I wondered if Lindsey didn't like Egan's version, if Lindsey knew that FM was soon going to use it or what was going on with his thought process.
