I went to see Kelly Clarkson at our state fair on 8/1 & I thought you all might want to see the pictures that I took.

She had two warm-up bands before her, someone named "Krista" & Eric Hutchson & I really liked them both. I was to the left of the stage looking at the stage, eighth row, on the end & I must say Kelly & her band were loud. And by loud, I temporarily lost partial hearing out of my left ear for a few days. :laugh: I've been to some rock concerts that weren't that loud. I was sort of sitting in front of the speakers, which had I would have known this, would have gotten different seats. Anyway, Kelly is still to me the one & only original American Idol. As someone put it that I read somewhere once, She sings her face off! She can really sing. Sometimes though she does sound a bit raspy, kind of like Stevie sounds sometimes. Kelly sang a lot of her new songs from her new CD. Her real tour starts in October. Right now, I think she's hitting all the state fairs.

I'm going to see Kelly at the MN State Fair in a couple weeks! It will be my 3rd time seeing her, she's so amazing live!

I LOVE Kelly Clarkson. I wish her tour wasn't only in the US. I get really annoyed by artists who do this, especially when they sell a lot of records in other parts of the world like Kelly has. The US is not the whole world...grrrr! haha!

I recorded two songs on my camera, one was I Do Not Hook Up & the other was Already Gone. On I Do Not Hook Up she looked like a ghost; the lighting was really bad. For Already Gone, it was better; she was sitting on the stage in the middle with one of her guitar players. She has a big band, all kinds of horns, a sax, drummer, three guitar players, keyboard player, two back-up singers; really, it's a wonder all of them fit up on stage. :nod:

I really do like Kelly Clarkson, though I only know a few of her songs (the commercially successful ones). Not a big fan of My Life Would Suck Without You, though. :shrug:

I believe it was about an hour & 1/2.

I kind of like her Breakway CD the best though really there isn't a song that I really dislike on her new CD. I really like Already Gone, & when I first heard it, I thought it would be a hit. When she sang "Cry" at the concert, it gave me chills, & it was really hot outside. :nod: The same thing happens when I hear Stevie sing "Beauty & the Beast" live, I get chills. I can't explain it. :shrug:

She cancelled her MN state fair concert, due to illness. I was so upset. My best friend even flew in from Milwaukee to see her show. Her opener, Eric Hutchinson put on a great show for 70 minutes, but he definitely wasn't Kelly. This is the 2nd time she's cancelled a show in MN, the first one was in 2007. Hopefully she makes it here on her upcoming "all i ever wanted" tour.

Well, that is really sad. It's a shame she's sick & it's ashame that she disapointed her fans by having to cancel. Yeah, I liked Eric Hutchison, but like you said, he's no Kelly. Hopefully you'll see her this fall. I liked her show.

Neither am I. However, I do think she's definately talented. 'Because of You' is a class song, I don't think she's written anything else even close to that standard since though.
