Shag perm Stevie! My favourite hairstyle she's ever had actually, but I hated it during the "Tango in the Night" VHS where it looks like it's going to eat her head. Volumised but under control is when I think it looks the best. ;)

I also loved when she put the blue/green streak in her hair. My hair was cut like this for a while, I loved it. This picture tempts me to get it cut back like that.

The way she did her hair during her Soundstage concert was pure perfection.

I've never been able to find a picture of it on the 'net, but back in 2001 when Stevie was VH1's Artist of the Month, they showed a brief clip of her with black streaks in her hair and she was wearing this tremendously chunky crystal necklace. I think it's about the favorite look for her I've ever seen. Very witchy and bohemian.

i so love her hair in that pic. its like she just woke up like that. good stuff. what is funny is that i just got my haircut and the girl cut it just like that except that i usually wear it straight. i gotta curl it some to see if i can replicate that style. i have brown hair but have been blonde numerous times and was thinking of at least getting highlights again.

When I got mine cut like that I just used to twist the straightners to make it wavier. And it went exactly like that, it was brilliant.

& a little trick my lovely gay hairdresser (he worshipped stevie) taught me was to scrunch wet hair w/ a good quality paper towel~ it removes excess water that weighs hair down, but their is something in the fibers of say a bounty & or viva paper towel that helps even the straightest hair get the slight waves like stevie's shag~ it's totally weird

he taught me this in the 80's & when i do my hair i still use this trick to this day, wrks everytime~

Does it work with curly hair? My hair's ringlety. I forgot to mention that when I do that with the straighteners I've made it straight first.

Hi there,
I am new to "The Ledge".
I would "love" to have a Stevie "classic rumours shag" cut or Bella Donna cut [even the beach photoshoot looks nice].
What I would like to know fellow Stevie fans who have had Stevies' shag do' [or know of someone who has] - what do I ask my hair dresser for???
Do I ask for a "gyspsy shag" or a long shag cut? Or should I just take photos in of the Stevie hair cut and hope for the best!?

At the moment I have shoulder length flat brown hair with a long fringe/bangs.
I would like to have a cut that brings out the waves in my hair, to have that messy look.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm a big fan of the 1970's hair and 80's big hair on her or anybody to that matter.
the 1990's and 2000s nobody want to bother with their hair or no time for it.

BTW Jimmy does not have his Gilligan's hat on.

I know Stevie at the time did cut her hair herself, so there's no name!
I know that this is a layered cut, and since a friend of mine has similar waves, I know that if you have naturally wavy hair you achieve those messy curls by not combing your hair especially before drying and applying a light hair product (like a very light gel or a mousse) that helps the curling, also before drying.
