hahaha...I'm not overly bothered by most of her hair styles in this thread...though there are a couple that I don't really think were that great of an idea. I actually like the Street Angel hair (though I did have to take a bit of time to get used to it.) I have to say though, the long black wig is freaking me the f*** out...I mean, really...what was that all about??? :p

I have never actually laughed out loud at a picture until I saw that one pic of Stevie with her eyes closed. Can you say bad hair day. OMG, it looks like a blonde version of Robert Smith's hairdo. Thanks so much! I needed that!!!

I nominate the "Big Love" video hair as one of her worst looks ever as well :-)

When it came around to the "Rock A Little" through the "Tango In The Night Days", her hair was totally out of control and I really didn't like it all that much. Yeah, it was the 80's, but that hair actually looked better on the girls from Heart than on Stevie. I thought that Christine's hair was much prettier in the 80's than Stevie's was. Christine, had very pretty hair. Then when "OSOTM" through "Street Angel" came around, the clothes just got bigger. She didn't grow just the clothes did, and I thought that what she was wearing made her look big. I always had a hard time seeing the shape of her body because she was buried under so much clothing. Especially during "Timespace" and "OSOTM". Puffy sleeves!

Well, I guess that was the point. The puffy garments disguised the puffy body. I agree, the big hair worked on Lita Ford or the Heart girls of any of the hair-metal boys, but was getting dated by the time Stevie amped it up with such fury in the post-1987 period. I think it looked cool in the ICW video. I think it looked yuck on the Red Rocks video sleave.

I actually love the "Rock A Little"/"Tango in the Night" - era hair. I think it looks great, it's my favourite hairstyle she's ever had. My one ambition in life is to bring back the shag perm. ;)

yes the hair she was sporting for the 'Tango' tour was not very lovable. It was too blonde and to big, nothing about it looked soft or natural. It was stiff and unmoving, closely mirroring Stevie's own persona during that tour.:laugh:

I don´t like wigs on Stevie too, only that she wore in Arsenio hall show in 1991 is good-looking.

I´m not a fan of her hair-style during Street Angel tour.

And probably because I´m young and 70´s is far history I really prefer her hairstyle in late 80´s, 90´s and now, to everything before that. But I don´t say that she looked bad!

Well, I have to say that my favourite her haircuts are from Tango-beginnings (short hair), and then from 1988 tour (better than 1987), her hair during OSOTM tour and begining of BTM tour were great too. Maybe Stevie didn´t look great at all, because of Klonopin, but her hair did. And since 1997 she look good too (but I really don´t prefer her SYW look, fringe fits her.

I´d like to post somewhere else photos where I think she has best haircuts :).

But I could pick some photos from my favourite era (late 80´s), where Stevie doesn´t look so good (so those pictures don´t show what I like;))

The mid 90's were such a black hole for Stevie fans. For 3 or 4 years there was.....nothing. Every once in a while you would hear that Stevie was recording a new album....or about to go into the studio....but nothing ever came of it. I remember feeling really depressed after watching this show because Fleetwood Mac, the band that I had loved with all my heart, seem to be over. Stevie also seemed so bitter and angry. It felt like her best days were over and she was now a faded rock star living on her past glories. Funny thing that in a couple of years, it was '97 and The Dance happened and Fleetwood Mac, but especially Stevie suddenly became hot and exciting again.

She looks uncomfortable and tired. Sick, actually. She might have been coming down with something, which is why she threw that jacket on. You can picture her hugging her sides, while someone gets her a cup of tea. I wish I could blame this on her 'Vitamin K' pills, but she was clean by this point.

I don´t like wigs on Stevie too, only that she wore in Arsenio hall show in 1991 is good-looking.

I´m not a fan of her hair-style during Street Angel tour.

And probably because I´m young and 70´s is far history I really prefer her hairstyle in late 80´s, 90´s and now, to everything before that. But I don´t say that she looked bad!

Well, I have to say that my favourite her haircuts are from Tango-beginnings (short hair), and then from 1988 tour (better than 1987), her hair during OSOTM tour and begining of BTM tour were great too. Maybe Stevie didn´t look great at all, because of Klonopin, but her hair did. And since 1997 she look good too (but I really don´t prefer her SYW look, fringe fits her.

I´d like to post somewhere else photos where I think she has best haircuts :).

This is beautiful. You're right, she made it work. I also have said many times on this board that I liked the blown-out braid faux-crimp (BOBFC) look from the Street Angel tour.
I think it's time for the adventurous hair to come back, and retire long-straight-parted-to-side-with-bangs (LSPTSWB) forever.

Then again, maybe BOBFC was a reaction to her finances at the time? She was taking a (shudder) bus on that tour, after all. Braiding/unbraiding didn't really require a cosmotologist, Karen or Glenn could have been doing it for her. Then with the FM reunion with 'The Dance', she started rolling in money again and could afford a hairdresser full time to maintain the LSPTSWB.

I happen to like the Tusk bun - especially the larger one she had at the beginning of the tour and the one that is forever documented in history in the Tusk Doc lol! I was 9 in 1979 but I recall the bun was kind of in style back in the 70s and I had a few elementary school teachers and saw women then that sported the bun thing. It was a throwback to victorian days, no?
