I was going through all of my stuff the other day and ran into my New Kids On The Block stuff. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who ever did like them, if so, who was your favorite and your favorite song, and if anyone out there has one of their Pay Per Views on tape? I have their new album and it's not that bad. They sound great and I think they look better than ever. I missed them comming here to St.Louis last November and the beginning of this month. Did anyone happen to go to any of their shows on their new tour?
Yes, Joey, have a pay-per-view on VHS somewhere, no. ;)
I remember seeing them when I was 12, it was the first concert I ever went to. I know a lot of people (okay women) who went to see them this past year, but I just thought it would be weird.

Yes. I actually saw them in November and they still put on a damn good show! Back in the day, I liked Donnie and Jordan the most, but these days, I like Jonathan the best. His Twitter is one of my favorites to follow!

I know what you mean. But I thought it would be cool to relive something that you experienced through your childhood. My mom got to experience The Beatles, even though she wasn't one of those screaming girls that fainted or did crazy things, I got to go through a time in my life where it was fun. Between the ages of 10-12 I was very happy, and I was into something. I was like my mom though, I wasn't one of those screaming girls that cried and fainted etc. I was in it for the music, then when I saw what they looked like for the first time, I said, "Their cute." And I had my first crush. One of my friends went to the concert and said that it was amazing. She was impressed that they have grown up so much and they sounded better than ever. I never had the opportunity to go back in 1990 and once again I missed my chance again, twice at that. It doesn't compete with the power of Stevie or the Mac, but it's fun to go to a show like New Kids with your friends and laugh and say "Oh, I remember this and that!" I'm glad I experienced it, it was a fun time in my life.:wavey:
I guess I didn't want to sully my original experience. My two friends and I went, and we got to go by ourselves in a limo at 12!!! My one friend who was way crazier about them (Jordan, especially) was just so insane at this show. Trying to sneak us into better seats, jumping off one of the entry ways into a lower level in a bizarre and dangerous attempt to get Jordan's attention, it worked, he had one of those OMG looks on his face. Luckily she was okay. Of the 2 girls I went with, one I lost contact with and the other doesn't live in the area anymore, so it just wouldn't have been the same for me. I'm glad people are enjoying them now, but it just wouldn't be the same.

I love the New Kids! They were my first concert as well when I was 12. I remember being in absolute awe as I walked into Reunion Arena (recently torn down :( ) in Dallas. The Cover Girls were opening for them back then and everyone was swaying their hands as TCC sang "We Can't Go Wrong".
Went to see the New Kids last October and had an absolute blast! The screaming was just as constant and intense as it was in the 80's-90's too. They put on a heck of a show...WELL worth seeing even now. Most of the audience are women my age (30's) and their kids. :) My mom and I went and we had fun singing along with the old songs and jamming out to the new ones. Danny and Jordan breakdanced too and are still amazing at it.
I know I have the Pay-per-view concerts on tape somewhere along with tons of other NKOTB related stuff.
Oh and Joe was/is/always will be my fave. ;)
