Stevie Demo Compilation

[The Chain]

So there are many here with great Stevie demo/outtake & rarities collections, and I was wondering, to those of you who are savy to the ways of mediafire, file sharing in general, if you would want to post a compilation of demos, outtakes you like or made, that represent Stevie at her most mystical, if you will. I'm trying to, after years of getting and loosing random demos, have one solid collection burned, containing the cream of the crop, why-the-hell-did-these-tracks-not-make-the-albums collection:nod:

[daniellaaarisen]

I would tackle this if I had all my files... I HATE having no laptop. I am mystical Stevie's biggest fan so I think this is an interesting idea.

YES. I am all about Piano demos.

[FMlex]

YES. I am all about Piano demos.

You got it. I've got a compilation I picked up somewhere along the way called "22 Piano Demos" and it pretty much changed my life.
No joke.

Some of the most beautiful Stevie vocals I have ever heard. Just Stevie - pure and raw. Amazing.

Enough gushing, they're uploading to Mediafire as I type :)
Give me about half an hour!

Hello everyone! It's been soooooooo long since I've posted any music here, and I'm really sorry. Things haven't been going so hot with my grandparents, so I've been everywhere. And when I actually am home, I take advantage of just chilling. But I'll be back soon, I promise! Anyways, as for compiliations, there is one MASSIVE seven disc one called Poets, Priests, and Legends that I have. (It's almost like a timeline of demos.) I'd love to upload it, but unforunately it's almost 1:00A.M. and I'm supposed to get up early tomorrow. So if you guys don't mind, I'd like to get some sleep! I'll post it ASAP though!

Also-- I did make my own compilation a while back, but I have yet to do anything with it. I'd love to make some bootleg artwork and stuff, so give me like... a year to do it? LOL, I'm just realllllllly lazy. :)

Thanks SO MUCH for posting that piano demo comp., Alex! I used to have it, but it was one of the files my stupid security thinger deleted when I tried to clear a virus off of my computer. :/ I'm VERY glad to have it back!

Oh, I agree! It was like the only thing I would listen to for about three months. I think I have a problem.

Awe, that sucks about your laptop. D: Mine had a virus a little while back, and it wasn't fun!

At least mine doesn't have a virus-- it's just stranded on a different continent. It will return unscathed eventually... hopefully.

More stuff coming soon...

Thanks so much for this stuff. I'll be downloading some of it soon!

Just wondering though, is there a way to download everything in the folder at once, a sort of "download all" option or do you have to do it track by track? I did it track by track for some other stuff and would just like to speed it up if possible? Of course if I can't then I'll still do it the way I did before!

[FMlex]

You're welcome, everybody!
Yes, PPL is a must-have!! I have it already, but it's not downloaded to Mediafire and that would take for.ev.er. so I think I'll let Rhiya take care of that one for you guys!

There is also a massive compilation (7 discs) that's called Dragons & Mirrors. It's demos and has a few live stuff too. I listen to that a lot.
And there's another one called Enchanted Missing Links that's 3 discs of demos/outtakes. Oh and another one that's called She Does Two Things which is 2 discs.

WOW! This is a great unofficial box set! I probably have most of these if not all -- but spread out over many discs and files. I gave up trying to organize them in some comprehensive fashion, especially when more and more emerged. I got overwhelmed and my organizational skills broke down! Will this be posted eventually? Perhaps we can submit graphic designs for how the "box set" could look like.

And then, overwhelming as it would be...the live box set!

P.S. Is "Do I Bring You Down" officially not an unofficial Stevie demo? Wasn't it proven to be a fake Stevie?

[fleetwoodtrick]

There is also a massive compilation (7 discs) that's called Dragons & Mirrors. It's demos and has a few live stuff too. I listen to that a lot.
And there's another one called Enchanted Missing Links that's 3 discs of demos/outtakes. Oh and another one that's called She Does Two Things which is 2 discs.

If someone could help me out on that then I could try to make it easier for you guys! I know it's a pain in the neck going one-by-one.

I had Dragons & Mirrors, but it was of terrible sound quality; you couldn't hear anything! I'll have to shop around for it again.

Would you mind posting the second and third discs of Enchanted Missing Links? For some reason, I only I have disc one. I guess something must have come up when I was downloading it, and I can't remember where it was!
(I'd be willing to post disc one!)

I also have She Does Two Things. It was THE first set of Stevie demos I ever downloaded! I still absolutely LOVE Julia and that 14 minute demo of Storms!! It's amazing!

I will work on posting the other two comps. PPL is uploading now! But god only knows how long that will take! :D

And as for how to make .zip files... it's not just a Mediafire thing, you zip the files up before uploading them. Let's say you have all of the songs from disc one in a folder. What you would do is select all of the files you want to zip. Then you right-click on the file and float over 'Send to'. Then you click 'Compressed (zipped) Folder'. That is... assuming you don't have a Mac! (I have no idea how to work one of those!!) There is, however, a limit on the amount of space your .zip file can take up when you upload it to Mediafire. I can't remember how much the maximum is... but you should probably only make one .zip file per disc! (It is VERY annoying when you've gone over the maximum and wait the hour for the files to upload, because more often than not, they will tell you that you need to be a premium member to upload files that large, AFTER you've already been uploading it!) I hope this helps a little bit, and that you can sort of understand my rambling.

And as for "Do I Bring You Down"... I'm not sure. I think it's Stevie. If I were you, (hehe) I'd ask someone who's been around the Stevie fan base for a little bit longer than me. The determining if that was a fake Stevie was probably before my time here! I'd take another listen, but I don't have my headphones with me. And I don't think my parents would appreciate that. :woohoo: However, I'm not sure if Stevie really is on "All Over You" with Prince. I just can't pinpoint her voice.

Woahhhhh, long post!

Rhiya!

Thanks so much for filling me in on how to Zip files. I think I can do that!
However, it is very late here and I have to wake up early in the morning.

I will start the upload process of any and all of those Stevie demos that I listed (those that you aren't doing!) starting first thing in the morning. We all know it will take 1948385 hours to upload to Mediafire.

I've got Enchanted Missing Links covered.
And you're right, Dragons & Mirrors isn't exactly the most pleasant listening experience. But still, it's great to have. I could put that up if anyone wants it.

I'm sure everyone here has Goldfish & the Ladybudy, right? That's a good one and it's VERY listenable. (And I'm really picky about listening quality, folks.)

I have quite a bit of Master Reels if anyone's interested. Just various Stevie songs that she is working through. All are of excellent quality and they're kind of interesting to listen to.

I've also got a compilation called Unwound Dreams which is also very listenable.

Of those last three (the bolded), let me know if anyone's interested and I can upload the files to Mediafire. I'll for sure make sure to follow Rhiya's steps for zipping files!

Wow... long post, sorry!

I've got Stevie demos and outtakes coming out of my ears.

Where should I even begin?
Let's start with what I already have up on my Mediafire account, which is going to be a repeat of what I've recently posted on this forum, but oh well, here goes. Maybe perhaps someone out there missed 'em...

This is a compilation I created called "Out of the Darkness" -- Demos/alternates for Bella Donna songs.

Track list:
1. Bella Donna (Piano and Stevie vocal)
2. Kind of Woman (Piano and Stevie vocal)
3. Sanctuary (Demo)
4. Gold and Braid (Demo)
5. After the Glitter Fades (Piano and Stevie vocal)
6. How Still My Love (Alternate)
7. Leather and Lace (Early Demo)
8. Outside the Rain (Piano and Stevie vocal - beautiful!)
9. The Dealer (Demo)
10. The Highwayman (Demo)
11. Lady From the Mountain (Demo)

More stuff coming soon...

I've never heard that demo of Gold and Braid before. And I thought I'd heard them all. It's absolutely fantastic! Thank you for sharing all these wonderful demos, but especially that one. It still amazes me that this song never made it onto one of her albums. :blob1:

[Sanne2]

"Do I Bring You Down" is NOT Stevie! I've heard it's actually some guy singing, a male fan that tried to imitate her voice as good as possible, but if you listen closely it doesn't really sound that much like her.

I love this song and to me it sounds exactly like Stevie. I've heard this rumour before but I still don't believe it. I am convinced it is her.

Thanks for taking the time to do this for us! :xoxo:
