Any update on when this is finally coming out and what exactly is going to be on it? We've been waiting for ages now..lol

They are torturing us with this one...so painful. I haven't seen anything about it--tried to search for an update and found nothing.

I hope there's some really good footage!!

I can't imagine what it was like in the studio making that album... must have been a living hell. Of course we know all the info from watching Classic Albums: Rumours, but still. I bet there was more going on than what was said.

So typical of Fleetwood Mac and/or their handlers/management...

Years and years and years go by between new albums (for many groups that's an entire lifespan!), yet it still takes years to re-release an album that was recorded 32 years ago??? I love them but they are a joke.

I believe the whole DVD-A (and also the SACD) format was completely discontinued not long after that was released. That's why we'll never see the Tusk DVD-A that Ken Callait finished a few years ago.

The world seems to be just fine with crappy mp3 quality and no longer cares about getting the best sound out of the recording.

Yep, DVD-Audio has gone the way of Beta Video, LaserDiscs & 8-track tapes.

Quality, I don't care about, to be honest. Most of the time, I hate it when things are restored. I like the grainy, washed out look of the old original film. It gives it character. :thumbsup:

Yep, DVD-Audio has gone the way of Beta Video, LaserDiscs & 8-track tapes.

I still enjoy listening to 5.1 mix on my DVD-Audio discs of 'Rumours' and 'Say You Will'.
It's sad that 'Tusk' probably will never be released on DVD-Audio; I expect that the original version of The Purple Dancer will be released on CD sooner! :lol:

BTW, I also like to listen to the SACD discs of 'Fillmore East' and 'Eat a Peach' by the Allman Brothers Band, it's what I'm doing right now!
Well, at this moment 'Blue sky' is playing; tonight I finished my 3 favourite SACD discs; 'Layla' was also there...
