FM - Misc. covers (43 tracks)

[GoldDustOrphan]

I just made a few additions to my online storage folder (the first four listed here), so I thought I'd post what's in my "Fleetwood Mac - Misc. covers" folder. Some of the tracks only sample FM/SN tracks (Wind Blows, Days Go By) and a few others are filed here because they didn't fit anywhere else (The Rotters, Radiohead)

LOL oh my god, this is something. It's surprising how well it fits, that's what she said.

Also, thanks GoldDustOrphan! The Decemberists' Think About Me is a worthy download.

[golddustdrummer]

Vampire Weekend does an awesome job of covering "Everywhere"

oooooh iiiiiiiiiiii! iiiiiiiiiiiii! iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii wanna be with youuuu everywheeeerre!

and I also have Steel Train covering TUSK live...I got it off iTunes

[GoldDustOrphan]

I didn't post it because it just became commercially available, but Queen Latifah's new single "Cue the Rain" lyrically samples an entire verse from "The Chain."

[golddustdrummer]

ooooh and can't forget about this travesty...

a cover of GYOW by Silverstein

I am going to go download CRAZY when I get home. I know Whiskeytown's "Dreams" very well and its okay, but definitely not my favorite Whiskeytown song. I am OBSESSED with Ryan Adams... he's second to Stevie in my book :)

I think this is the only rap song on my iTunes...haha, I'm so white. But the sample fits sooo well, and it makes me happy that it's truly a sample, and not re-recorded.

The Decemberists' Think About Me is a worthy download.

This was living on my iPod shuffle for a long time. I now find myself singing the "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon" part at the end of the FM version.

Um...we are officially best friends. I love Ryan. I'm so bummed that he's "retired"...although I'm not convinced it's going to last. His stuff with the Cardinals is my favourite, although I still need to get the Whiskeytown albums. They're hard to find in Canada.

[Lala]

Also...I'm digging Matt Pond PA's Holiday Road. I feel like it should be in a movie...or an episode of the OC...haha!

Wait, OH MY GOD. A FM/Stevie AND Ryan fan? I am about to pass out.

We need to have a Ryan conversation. PMing you now. Oh and I can definitely help you out on those Whiskeytown albums when I get home (no access to my own computer).

And he's definitely not gone, that's bull. Although I am worried about this Meniere's thing... hopefully it subdues.

Do you have "Infinity Blues"? I'm a writer and I LOVE a lot of his work in that. Then again, a bunch of it is just him being the cracked out, adorable North Carolinian chain smoker that we know and love :)

[Macfanforever]

I have country singer Waylon Jennings version of Rhiannon somew on my harddrive.Im to beat to look for it. now.

[Dodfather]

Woah - some GREAT stuff here! Thanks!!

[daniellaaarisen]

Got it all-- thanks! I'm forever indebted to half of the members here...

[lacesundone]

Thanks Gold Dust Orphan! I can't wait to listen to all of these.

[lacesundone]

Does anyone else have the popping noise on the of montreal version of Trouble?

[wildheart048]

Thanks for these! Some very cool things....

[Dodfather]

I've just discovered Nora O'Connor's fantastic version of That's Alright. Wonderful stuff! Always thought this was an underrated song of Stevie's and it's one of my favourites (I'm a country fan) so to have found this is great!

Anyone know it? Go to itunes... I'd try and distribute it here but it's commercially available.

[cbBen]

Thanks for these -- I'll chime in for Cat Power's Dreams!

[cbBen]

This is amazing! One of my favorite Mac songs done amazingly well.

Hey - it's one of my faves too! I've not heard many others say that.
