View Full Version : No Breakfast for me...

I'm starving. So I mix up some pancake batter and put it on the griddle. Then when it's time to turn the pancakes I realize I forgot to put butter on the griddle. So I lift each cake out and put butter in its spot then put the cakes back down. Then I pour myself a large glass of milk. Taste the cold milk. The milk is spoiled. Pour the little more than half full carton down the sink. The pancakes won't cook. They're ruined. Give up on that idea.
Yesterday the toaster sparked so I tossed it in the trash. So no toast today. I was in Target last night and forgot to buy a toaster. I got a 100 pack of blank CD's though. Shows you where my priorities are.
I heated up last nights leftover appetizer from Applebee's, spinach and artichoke dip on tortilla chips. I dig in and then go to put the box on the table. The fork does a backflip and lands on the rug.
What's next???

How many, and of what brand? I was lucky enough to find Verbatim half off - I ended up getting 100 of them for just 20 bucks.

That is why I live off bread and goat cheese when I'm home. No danger there!

The sale ended today. A 100 pack of CD-R for $13.00!! I bought two packs. Today I returned one of them. I don't like the blue label. I like clear labels so you can read the writing on them. Hopefully someone will buy the other 99 blanks for $10.00 from me.
I'll go to BJ's and get a 100 pack of Memorex for $20.00 with the clear labels. If you don't have a BJ's near you then go to Costco.
I used to use Verbatim. Most people don't like that brand though. Also just to let you know, it is very common for several of the blank CD's of any brand to be defective.
My favorite blanks are TDK but I can't seem to find them anymore.

I live a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. Right now I'm drinking Gatorade. When I wrote the original article I was drinking OJ.

Always smell milk before you drink it/use it.
Toaster probably needed cleaning...not tossing out!
And...re-heated tortilla chips just don't work.
You've had a run of bad house luck there, sounds like. COULD be worse though. ;)

My new toaster is nice. Has wide slots so bagels won't get stuck in there. Has little buttons that say cancel so you can stop it when you want to. Has a retractable cord. It's big it's black and it's a four slotter. There's also little buttons that say Bagel on them but I haven't read the directions yet to find out what they are for. All this for under $25.00 at Target. I love that store!

I can definitely do the blood sign. No big deal.
I'm just French. We're weird like that. And eat an unhealthy amount of cheese...

Geez, I'm pretty sure that if I didn't eat breakfast, I'd keel over and die before I even got to lunch. I neeeeeeeeed my foooooooooooood! Speaking of which, it's almost 6:00A.M. here. So I'm getting hungry. (And I haven't slept since noon of yesterday.) *eye twitch*

I got my toaster at Target, on clearance for five dolla.
It's a Hello Kitty toaster what makes Hello Kitty's face on the bread. Oh yeah.
At the same time, I got a Hello Kitty waffle iron and a Hello Kitty coffee maker, also five dolla each. Target is awesome.
Alas, my breakfasts are rarely ever breakfast-y. I will likely nom a microwave burrito.

The new toaster has a new toaster smell when it's on. Tell me my sweet Ledgies, what do I do? I don't want my food tasting like a new car. The bagel I just ate has that new smell on my breath. Am I going to die?

If I don't have my breakfast the minute after I got up I turn really nasty. I can skip every other meal but no breakfast no life. And usually I prefer bread to toast so that stupid toaster can't annoy me...

You are such a mess hahahahahaha
That would creep me out too, though... although I have no words of comfort to share, sorry. I'm just laughing :)
