I am after your knowledge

[StephenC]

A favour please?! As fans of the best group in the world, we have some fine taste in music. So, on my blog, I have written an entry called "songs you might like... but have never heard"

http://thestateofthenationuk.blogspot.com/2009/07/songs-you-might-like-1.html

I'd be really interested to hear your views and suggestions.

If I do another similar posting, I had already decided to include "Trouble". We shall see.

Thanks in advance

Some good choices, especially Hey Bulldog. I hadn't listened to that song for ages!

I'd love to hear your suggestions - just leave a comment on the blog.

p.s.

If you go to this link, you can read where I have mentioned the band (the blog is a little over 1 year year old)

I like the Blind Faith track a lot. I might disagree that it was their best but it is a fine selection indeed.

I like Jazz so tend to think that there are hundreds of jazz standards that people miss out on. Cassandra Wilson is my living favourite and is really underated which is a shame.

But I always loved the Ben Folds track - Landed. The lyrics of that track are so clever (imo) - I always thought it should have been hugely popular.
