This live recording of Stand Back appeared on the compilation CD "Live From the Archives 9" from radio station KFOG, which only manufactured a few thousands discs.
I had never heard this until recently. I have no idea when the performance was recorded, but I'm going to guess that is was during the Wild Heart promotional tour.

Cool - thanks for sharing. This doesn't sound like the version Stevie was playing during the WH era. It's just a guess, but I would say Street Angel tour or later.

It's from the Trouble in Shangri-La tour in 2001. There were a bunch of songs broadcast, including Stand Back, Every Day, & Sorcerer.

The other songs broadcast were Enchanted, GDW and Rhiannon. Are you sure? I could swear I have a radio-quality Every Day from that Bay Area broadcast. Where would I have gotten that? It's on my MP3 player.

The three I listed were in addition to the three you listed.
Six songs were broadcast in total:
Enchanted
Every Day
Sorcerer
Gold Dust Woman
Rhiannon
Stand Back
Here is a link to a folder with all 6 songs:

John Mayer opened for Stevie at this benefit. His first solo album Rooms for Squares was just taking off.

This was a great show, it was the closing night/show to the T.I.S. tour! It was a real treat to see her there because the venue is beautiful and a lot smaller than what she usaully plays. This show was kind of done at the last minute for the Christmas Make A Wish Foundation, I remember her saying that "She didnt want to cry", because she did that on what she thought was the last show. She said " so this is our time to have a really great time tonight".

OMG! I was there too. I loved it because we got to meet the band outside. And John Mayer even took a Picture with my Friends.
