Do y'all know what Karen looks like? Do we have pictures of her or something? I vaguely remember seeing her in the Destiny Rules doc. Is she someone that we should like? And how long has she seen Stevie's assistant? And what does assistant mean anyway? Does she live with her?

I heard a couple people say a long time ago that Karen was kinda rude or snippy or something. Just curious....at 12:45 am...cus there's NOTHING else I could be doing, like sleeping or anything like that.

Karen's job is to do most everything Stevie would otherwise have to do herself, and/or be the firewall between her and her fans. Its with this in mind that its no surprise that she has come off as rude to fans of Stevie.

Stevie couldn't care less about fans' letters, teddy bears, artwork, stories, etc- I can't blame Karen for barely mustering any kind of acknowledgment to fans. She's just doing her job. I can't imagine just how insane of a job it would be. I once turned down a personal assistant gig for a high maintenance A-list comic based out of LA (who wants to move to LA?) , and I imagine that would have been a cakewalk compared to half the **** Karen has to deal with.

Yes. I've seen her. She seems to be very no nonsense. I imagine you would have to be to do that job. I'm sure it has its' perqs though.

And how long has she seen Stevie's assistant?
Quite a while. Before Karen, there was her sister Kelly (?). Kelly got busted taking a "care package" over to England during the making of TOSOTM. I'm not sure as far as the timeline of when Kelly exited and Karen took over.

Does she live with her? ?
According to Stevie, she isn't living in the 1 bedroom penthouse in Santa Monica. She may have lived in some of Stevie's larger homes. I doubt Stevie is alone very often if at all. She usually has some friends living with her.

I don't know if she's really living in that condo or not. She did her early interviews and photoshoots for the Unleashed tour from the big Southern style mansion.

Unless he knows La Nicks very well, he couldn't and, therefore, doesn't. It seems he's just stirring the shiittee just like he was when he said that La Nicks' comparing being in FM to being in Iraq was an insult to the soldiers fighting in Iraq

And, for the record, I know several people whose cards, bears, etc. she's acknowledged and even called them later about. So, I have first hand knowledge that she does care even though she may not acknowledge all of them that way. How could she?

In the end and to me, LukeA (who is still I believe kind of young) is either careless in his use of adjectives (etc.) or he used them to incite. To these and many others' ears they are rarely accurate in a literal sense.

He does, however, seemingly have a working knowledge of the way concerts are booked etc. And, that is pretty cool.

Agreed. I know first hand that Stevie DOES care about her fans and what they take time to give her.
As far as Karen goes, a friend of mine that knows both of them put it in a nutshell - Karen is Stevie's "Purse". :p

I'm pretty sure you can see her in one of the pics from the Landslide Slideshow (Landslideshow?) from the Soundstage DVD, but you'd probably have to know what she looks like to notice.

In DR she even has a speaking role, during one of Stevie and Lindsey's thrilling , heated discussions about lawyers and record companies.

Yeah, haha, she did keep saying that. I was like...ok ok, Karen is honest, and what? Lindsey never acknowledged that comment. That part is so hilarious to me on the dvd. But I'd have to say my most favorite Stevie moment from DR is when Lindsey is talking to her about "Thrown Down" and trying to get her to change the tense of a word and she just keeps saying "..but it's how I write, it's the way I write, it's the POE T that I am.." lol. I love it...Stevie...our little poet. But whats funny to me is the way Lindsey is trying to be very careful about the way he is talking to her, but she gets kinda defensive quickly. I love it, haha.

I know - and, all I could think of was CM's "Skies the Limit" and LB's own "Pretending that she dont care" from Bleed to Love Her. Not to mention Dylan himself had some awkward moments and none of those three are Dylan!

I've heard that Karen runs a tight ship around Stevie. She has been known to be snippy and stand-offish, but she's not the star, her only loyalty is to Stevie.

I know at some point she lived with Stevie, maybe she moved out, who knows. But she has lived with Stevie for awhile.

Stevie couldn't care less about fans' letters, teddy bears, artwork, stories, etc

This is completely and absolutely false!!! These things are precious to her and mean a great deal! The thought that goes into each and every gift cements the love and appreciation of fans and is what keeps her going, esp. on long, grueling and incredibly exhaustive tours! Any artist values these sorts of things, come on!

There are all sorts of "assistant" jobs, none are easy. Like with all employers, it all depends on who you're working for. Each position is unique. Some require constant availability and necessite traveling w your boss, etc. Other roles are more like telecommuting where you may not even be in the same state as the person most of the time but report in via the phone or e-mail or fax. Some jobs are as simple as scouting out media outlets and fansites and reporting back.

I agree. I think Stevie really cherishes the stuff that us fans have for her. Obviously it's hard to take everything that everyone has, but I think she really does care about us. She's said it over and over in several interviews. I mean, she gave up a family life for this career and without us, she would have no career. She knows that, I am sure. Obviously this is just speculation, but to me, Stevie seems like such a sweet and caring person.

I don't know if Stevie actually cherishes the objects that fans give her necessarily as much as the knowledge that people love her enough to want to give her things. It's more of the gesture that I think she appreciates.

I showed it to a friend who is a fan but nowhere near as hardcore as I am, and it was almost a little embarassing at times. Kind of like when you watch a movie with your parents but forget about all the graphic sex scenes until they appear on the screen.

They can be a little whinny, but on the whole, it's a great thing for us to have on DVD.

I've never really known what that argument is about, or the details of its playing out. It has something to do with mixing a track or two, I take it?

Oh, I know you know perfectly well.

The conclusion is certainly that Chris Lord-Alge doesn't get to mix the tracks (other than the one, Destiny Rules, in the can). The unspoken premise is that Lindsey doesn't want Lord-Alge to mix them. Though Lindsey never says this and would, in fact, deny it. One gets from the premise to the conclusion by following a Goldberg diagram, studded with devices and contraptions which prevent the various players from: (1) communicating with one another directly, and (2) speaking their minds frankly during the indirect exchanges.

Karen is accusing Lindsey of delaying Lord-Alge's work by refusing to sign the mixing contract. Lindsey is offended by such calumny (and I myself would like to see Karen struck dead on the spot), calls his manager and cries that people are pointing fingers at them, causing Stevie to exclaim, "Lindsey!" Of all the mixing drama moments, I find that particular one the most delightful.

Also - LB voiced that he was worried that FM's work would get the brush over or not enough attention as CLA was very in demand at that time. To me, that did not make sense because La Nicks had been using CLA for well over a decade by then and La Nicks likely was somewhat responsible for CLA's success. So, I doubt CLA would have given FM's work only a once over as opposed to a full on treatment. I do think LB wanted not to spend the money, which also was a concern of John. LB wanted to do it himself. Interestingly, the GOS songs seemingly had already been remixed or at least a mix model had been determined. I also think LB in a way was being obstinate for no good reason because, to me, the mixes on the DR doc sounded good. But, in the end and much later, La Nicks said that only LB could mix the songs because only LB knew all nuances of the many sounds. So, I guess she changed her mind regarding the mixing as opposed to actual production, which she said she was not all that crazy about when compared to the demos.

Personally, I think LB's production of many aspects of La Nicks songs on SYW was not that great. So, maybe CLA would have improved those songs to these ears.

Note - other than what LB actually said in the doc. -- this is all my opinion only.

I don't think Lindsey mixed the songs. Based on the liner notes and the doc Destiny Rules, I think Needham mixed them.

When he was talking to John, I believe Lindsey was talking about having them mixed again, rather than having them mixed in the first place. The $9000+ figure he was giving John was an additional option.

The conclusion is certainly that Chris Lord-Alge doesn't get to mix the tracks (other than the one, Destiny Rules, in the can). The unspoken premise is that Lindsey doesn't want Lord-Alge to mix them. But the mix on "Destiny Rules" is the best mix on the album. The instrument levels are right where they should be. The delineation is matchless. All is balance, proportion, clarity. So if Buckingham didn't want that quality (let's call it ... oh ... perfection), then he was being perverse.

The question is, Why? Here's the direction in which my mind is wandering: Remember what Ken Caillat said about the guitar sound on "Tusk"? He said that Lindsey told him to distort the guitar until the attack & style were as different from "Rumours" as it was reasonably possible to be.

On "Say You Will," was Buckingham trying to avoid the clarity, compression, & balance that marked his engineering & production style in the past?

Karen is accusing Lindsey of delaying Lord-Alge's work by refusing to sign the mixing contract. Why that bitch is even in the room, I'm sure I don't know.

Stevie Nicks & her umpteen Wormtongues. Had I been in the band, I'd have issued Madame Nicks the ultimatum a long time ago: "Either they leave, or you & they leave."

Friends, lovers, & spouses of band members should not interfere in the decisions a band makes. It's been said a million times by a million people -- because it's true. No good ever comes of it.

Well, I'm sure Stevie agrees with you, then. I think she did a Sheryl Crow Mother's Day thing with this. We eventually saw her telling Lindsey that she wasn't going to use Chris because the album would take 2-3 months and Chris didn't have that kind of time open on his schedule. Lindsey, by contrast, said that they spent 4-5 days with Chris and he wasn't the guy, indicating that the quality of Chris' work wasn't any good -- at least in Lindsey's opinion. I think Stevie cited Chris' schedule as the excuse that he wasn't going to mix her songs,to be professional, the way she did in explaining why Sheryl Crow was not in the band. Lindsey on the other hand, would have trashed Chris, given half the chance, they way he did in explainng why Sheryl Crow was not in the band.

Interestingly, Lindsey said they DID go ahead and let Chris mix one of his songs. I wonder how that one turned out and which song it was that Chris mixed.

When Lindsey told John $9000 I got the impression that that was the cost not of all mixing but the cost of the sample mixing (the taste test) that they wanted to do. I thought that the experimental cost of letting each mixer do one of the other writer's songs as a test was the additional cost that Lindsey was quoting to John.

Why that bitch is even in the room, I'm sure I don't know.

Oh, I hated it, but Stevie was trying to avoid arguing with Lindsey herself. So, they used a buffer. Lindsey, in turn, didn't confront her or Karen (and he shouldn't even stoop to arguing with Karen). Instead, he picked up the phone and brought Dimitriades into the mix, another buffer. Maybe they do this to avoid fights that might disable the whole tour. But there's no question that the use of intermediaries (necessary or not) muddies the process.

As to why Lindsey wants his songs to sound the way they do -- um, I'm still not sure why he embarassed me by whisper singing throughout all of UTS so that when I went proselytizing with the CD door to door, trying to convert unwashed heathen, they threw me out of their houses unceremoniously, repulsed by his croaking. His motives are a mystery.

Yeah, when the SYW publicity was first starting, I remember LB talking about Hawaii too and how he wanted to go to Hawaii, but someone had to stay and mix the record, but I gather he was just talking about being the one to stay and approve what Needham was doing. I find a lot of similar familiarity statements when viewing various topics on this board and other boards...the knowing of this.that about a band member. I've learned best to use the words maybe and perhaps a lot.

As for gifts and such that Stevie receives, IMO I think it may depend upon when she receives. I think she is a very in the moment type of person...providing heartfelt smiles and sincerely appreciating the adoration, thoughtfulness from the fans...etc. and perhaps, as you mention, taking the time to contact lateron those that really touched. Does she take items home to cherish forevah? I'd be more curious if that happened.

Based on her comments anything written that looks like a song likely goes unread because she was sued (unsuccessfully) for plagarism regarding "Sara.". Personal notes are sometimes read because people have been contacted later about them. Flowers and other things with just a card likely are appreciated but not acknowledged because how is she going to find some chick named "Jane" after the concert. Even if the card had contact information, she certainly cannot be expected to personally contact and thank like 100 people a night or take them home with her - but that does not mean she did not appreciate the present  there was an interview a few years ago where she said she gives the stuffed animals to charity and makes potpourri/shachets out of the flowers. That indicates she cares.

_______________________________________________

JT: I understand completely. I’m John Tesh, our special guest today, Stevie Nicks. Stevie, I want to talk about your fans for just a second. What is the most amazing thing a fan has ever done for you?

Stevie: Well the most amazing thing a fan has ever done is sent me a $50,000, incredible diamond bracelet.

JT: Come on! You’re kidding!

Stevie: That was many years ago, and I have this bracelet. I wear it. And I told this woman, "You know, really, you need to take your bracelet back. Because this is like a family heirloom." It is like, about an inch and a half thick wide. And it’s all diamonds, and about five beautiful blue sapphires. And she just sent it to me. And I tired to get her to take it back, and she wouldn’t. And I said, "Well, it’s always here for you. Anytime you want your bracelet back, it’s here. All you have to do is call and I will have it back in your hands by the next day." So that’s the most incredible. And it’s SO beautiful, this bracelet. So that’s really my most incredible fan gift.

JT: Great story…so what about the weirdest thing?

Stevie: You know what, I don’t really get any weird stuff, because my fans are all, like, unicorn, stuffed animal people. So all the things that they send me are really nice.

I stood next to Karen at the front desk at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas in 2005. she was very like panicky. I don't know how to describe it. I couldn't ever make out exactly what she was doing, but I think she was checking Stevie out of the hotel...or whatever celebrities do. anyway, she was really frazzled and waving her hands and all that. she had her sunglasses on her head (as usual), a moon necklace and 2 suitcases with floral print.

In the end, I think she appreciates them based on what I personally have seen and what others have told me.

I completely agree with everything you said. If a fan letter/gift stands out, she tends to make the effort.

I do not think Karen was contributing anything musically. I think she was just corroborating La Nicks' statement. It bothers me that she was even in the room, contributing to a discussion that should have been none of her business.

Apparently, it bothered Lindsey, too.

FM has a history of having many non FM five (now four) in the room :shrug:No, actually, strand, they don't have that history. I was reading an old book the other day -- Superwomen of Rock -- & the band members all said how they managed to stay productive & relatively stable: by making their decisions by themselves.

They have also all said how the emergence of the Gang of Four -- the various lawyers & managers representing individual members -- signaled a major disruption in their once-streamlined processes & procedures.

Have you ever been in a band? I have never talked to anyone in a band who said it was a good thing for outsiders to be involved in musical or career decisions for the band. At best, for some people, it was a necessary evil. Typically, it was the source of extreme resentment, frustration, & even rage among bandmates. The butting in of my drummer's wife virtually destroyed my band many years ago. Our story is legion.

It looks like Lindsey called Tony to avoid having to spar with Karen himself, which was probably the most prudent thing to do. If Stevie and Lindsey had been having a face to face discussion and he had brought his third party manager into it, that would have been more obstructive than efficient, but since he was being confronted with Karen, calling one third person to deal with another was better than going off on Karen himself, which would have solved nothing and been unseemly.

Even as recently as the SYW tour they mentioned that they finally got problems solved by getting away from their representatives and handlers and just talking to one another. They certainly said that about why the Dance tour went off without any fights.

They do have a history of having people around them, but Karen is not Howard K. There are hierarchies in entourages. If Ray and Karen want to go at it, hey, I'll get ring side seats. But you should be in the same weight category to fight.

They do have a history of having people around them, but Karen is not Howard K. Sure, they keep assorted detritus around -- on tour & in rehearsals, especially Stevie, with her ever-widening cadre of Wormtongues. (Have I mixed four or five metaphors yet?)

I'm only talking about outsiders proffering -- unbidden -- their views on musical matters to the band circle. My view is that the band has not allowed that to occur, for reasons that are clear to anyone who was ever involved in a music group. Can you imagine Sharon Celani, new to the circle at the time, dishing unsolicited comments to Lindsey about his new songs in 1978 at the Village Recorder?

He'd have mopped up the floor with her.

Mixing -- which is what the discussion appears to center on in the Destiny Rules clip -- is a musical matter, & Karen has no business jumping in ... unless the band asked her to (& if that happened, I take back all my criticism of her).

Band members, depending on their personalities, will either confront a buttinski outsider or will sit silently -- & seethe. Neither option is good for a band. Crap like that builds & builds & finally explodes one day, in some fashion or another (violent fighting, leaving, legal action).

Stevie's friends can do whatever they want if the recording project is a Stevie Nicks project. But when it's Fleetwood Mac, they should sit out in the lounge & work on crossword puzzles, like a family member waiting outside the E.R.

I am also reminded of Christine's enormously amusing remark some years back about liking the fact that Stevie's singer friends were situated out of Christine's view -- so that she wouldn't have to look at them. That says it all.

I really feel there should be a thread (or another thread) made on some of those little thing in the DR doc...because there isn't much else to talk about at the moment and they're such whiny babies.

I haven't watched the whole thing in awhile, but I do recall Karen being an extremely tall, almost Amazon-looking woman. Not in a bad way, mind you, but she looked like she could take Lindsey down...which could be part of the reason he was squealing like a little girl in that argument segment..."Jeeesus Christttt!!" Or maybe that's how he argues.

Note: Though, in truth, I'm thinking LB handled that situation effectively because it could have gone down a whole different route, though no less bitchy and whiny methinks.

I literally finished Destiny Rules 30 seconds ago and kept this thread in mind. Karen's entire statement was about Stevie's lawyers' involvement up until that point. So then Lindsey made a phone call and claimed that Karen and Stevie were "pointing fingers" at him... which lead to the cutest little uproar from Stevie ("oh no we are not, Lindsey!"). He then started rambling about Karen and Stevie defended her. That's all that happened.

On another note... I feel super lame for crying at the end of Destiny Rules. I've watched it a thousand times but for some reason, I'm feeling extra sentimental tonight. But seriously-- that documentary encompasses everything I love about the Mac :)

I cried at the end of Destiny Rules too, to see them walk out there hand in hand was quite moving, especially preceded by the dressing room nervous, the banter between John and Mick (John telling Mick that he better smile back at him). Very powerful stuff, decades in the making.

It should not be the job of Stevie's personal assistant to contribute anything to a musical decision-making among the band members. Although she may be surprised to hear it, Karen is not a member of Fleetwood Mac.

Alternatively, it is Karen's job to ensure that Stevie Nicks gets to her hairdresser on time, & packs her favorite jammies for the tour.

Karen is not your usual celebrity personal assistant. Stevie doesn't like to deal with contracts, paperwork, legal stuff, anything of that nature etc. Karen handles everything around Stevie's life. Not just groceries, hair appointments, etc. Stevie doesn't drive or do most things that "normal" people do. Like I said before, at one point (maybe that has changed now, but I doubt it) she did live with Stevie. She is almost like Stevie's manager/personal assistant, even though we all know HK is Stevie's management firm.

It's obvious that Stevie's trusts Karen dearly, not just with her personal life with her career too. Here's a quote from Stevie from her journal entries in 2005 about Walter Reed:

"And I will do something. Me and my guitar player, friend, Waddy~ and my dear little assistant, Karen. We will think of something. We’ll start a foundation, we will tell the world what we saw~ we’ll keep tabs on our boys at Walter Reed~ and we will love them every day in our hearts~ and we will WISH THEM WELL. "

I was thinking of this strategy they tried to pull in a passage from Tom Jones:

Two to one are odds at every other thing as well as at foot-ball. But the advantage which this united force hath in persuasion or entreaty must have been visible to a curious observer; for he must have often seen, that when a father, a master, a wife, or any other person in authority, have stoutly adhered to a denial against all the reasons which a single man could produce, they have afterwards yielded to the repetition of the same sentiments by a second or third person, who hath undertaken the cause, without attempting to advance anything new in its behalf. And hence, perhaps, proceeds the phrase of seconding an argument or a motion, and the great consequence this is of in all assemblies of public debate.

When people not in the band intrude (without being asked) into specifically band-related matters -- like music, mixing, touring, rehearsing, mastering -- trouble ensues virtually always. Anyone who was ever in a band knows this. The proof is in the pudding. Lindsey in this video is obviously pissed off. Karen should have waited out in the lobby.

Yes, I understand what happened. What I don't understand is why he put her name in quotes.

... So, with that explanation,I find I must...say that in all of my wife and I's dealings with the abovementioned "Karen" , "Karen" has been completely rude , dismissive, and is herself a legend in her own mind...just cause she works for one. In plain English , and non-diplomatic Scorpio-speak...Karen has acted like a complete bitchto us. For clarity, and emphasis I repeat; a complete bitch. She wouldn't even let Wendy, who has a heart condition and uses a pacemaker, come into the air-coditioned dressing room here in Nashville....She made Wendy stand outside in the heat of the Nashville summer...wouldn't even get her a chair to sit in.....the band and Nicks had to "cool down" you know, before they let anybody in. Would "Karen" have kept Peter Green waiting outside the back door?

Absolutely! She could easily mistake him for a homeless man or a Manson-like character. And if she did know who he was, there would be no respect: " Yeah, Greeny...sit outside the door for now, I'm busy making Stevie's nail appointment."

Was that a Fleetwood concert or a Stevie Nicks concert? If the former, again -- why was Karen calling the shots for the whole band? She reminds me EXACTLY of my former drummer's wife.

I guess Karen moonlights as a photographer?

Yes, I understand what happened. What I don't understand is why he put her name in quotes.

I have just discovered this site and love it. great info for musicians and fans. one of the best rock and roll sites out there for info

I am a Bob Welch fan but I looked up some of his threads and I have my doubts if this is really him, it doesn't sound like him. In all his interviews in the 2000's he says he and Fleetwood never speak and will never speak again yet in some of his supposed past threads on here he says he speaks to fleetwood all the time. that is crazy. he alsos praises stevie as a nice and kind person in his earlier interviews but in his threads he is saying she blew him and his sick wife off ????

his ufo comments sounds like him but it would be strange for him to change so much from his comments earlier

here are some questions online presented to Bob, I may be wrong and he has changed but there is no way he likes and "speaks" to Mick now after the rock and roll hall of fame fiasco

Bob Welch, November 8 - 21, 1999

Bob, I have been a fan for years. The new album is great. Have you had any discussions with Mick about releasing any of the rare tracks from 1970-1974 that never made it to a Fleetwood Mac album? (Bill, Bel Air, Maryland, USA)

I'm glad you like "Bop" ! It makes me happy that somebody can enjoy a completely "non-commercial, non-marketing oriented" record !

The way it looks now, I may never talk to Mick again about anything, unless he should happen to take some "human being lessons" and some "reality check classes". I WOULD like to talk to him, because I used to ENJOY talking to him; he's very bright and has a wonderfully skewed sense of humor. Unfortunately, his sense of humor didn't seem to extend to the money they owed me ! (Or maybe it did..now I get it ! It was all a joke!...;-) Seriously, the only thing I would imagine Mick is interested in releasing is (1) Anything with Pete Green on it and, (2) anything with Stevie and Lindsey on it... -- "Bop" Welch

Since the lawsuit in the early 1990s, have you been in contact with the other members of Fleetwood Mac? (Mark Trauernicht, Alexandria, Virginia, USA)

Hi Mark..

BTW thanks for your nice comments on my new CD ! I talk to Stevie once or twice a year, and always go to her show if she's in town... Of course my "beef" was not anything to do with Stevie or Lindsey anyway. I haven't talked to Mick, John, or Chris at all, and frankly don't expect to..

What was Stevie Nicks like? I hear she was very funny, is that true? Are you a fan of her music? Did you two ever date? Have you spoken to her recently? What did you think of Fleetwood Mac after you left and it turned from blues to the way it is now? Thanks. (Melissa, Hemet, California, USA)

Yes, Stevie has a great sense of humor..she always has a "twinkle" in her eye ! We never dated, although I would sometimes hang out at her house, often with my girlfriend along. Stevie seemed to like to have a lot of people, other musicians etc. around.

I'm a big fan of her music.... I think she's one of the most UNIQUE writer/singers ever ! I spoke to her last time she was through Nashville, maybe 6 months ago....

Fleetwood Mac was already making the change from straight blues to the more harmony vocal type sound when I was in the band. In fact, I think I helped them do that.. Thanks for your question !

You sure that's her, Dee? I feel like "Karen Johnston" would be a fairly common name.

While I did not witness it myself (we were in another part of backstage at the moment), I have it from a few very high authorities (who told me immediately after it happened) that there was a confrontation of sorts between Stevie/Karen & Bob backstage after SYW Nashville '03. The band came out to do the meet & greet highly agitated (especially Stevie & Lindsey- I remember Lindsey was animatedly shouting something indecipherable at someone in the corridor)

When I read about how Karen treated him & his wife in '04, I wasn't surprised. I imagine that for him it was the last straw, and is what inspired Bob to vent his frustrations publicly on this board.

If Bob is around and would like to share, please do- although I understand if he doesn't want to.

Yeah, I thought so too - but Karen Williams Johnston, not so much... And, that is how she is credited in the SYW liner notes....

I would love to hear bobs opinion on this again. It really doesn't sound like Stevie Nicks at all. There has to more to this story of the confrontation, these are sort of recent quotes from Bob Welch at the penguin around 2003-

"My question for Bob Welch is:: Have you seen Fleetwood Mac on their recent tour? Do you remember seeing your first Fleetwood Mac show with Stevie and Lindsey? What songs stuck out to you most? What was the most memorable performance of Rhiannon during those early days? Did you ever do any studio work with Stevie after you left Fleetwood Mac? (Emalineblue, New York, NY, USA)

Saw 'em and talked to Mick and Lindsey in Nashville...Told 'em it was the best I'd ever seen them play...And it was...They were great ! When I first saw Stevie years ago , she was very energetic twirling all over the stage , and i knew she'd be a big star.. Formally , Stevie sang on my 3 Hearts solo album...I remember other times jamming around at her house with other musicians etc.

"What was your favourite memory of Stevie Nicks ! Thanks Bob!

Stevie defending me to a hostile LA crowd at the Forum when I opened up for "The New Barbarians" (Keith Richards spin-off group). I'll never forget that! "

]I would love to hear a tape of that LA show, stevie doesn't really strike me as the sort to get into it with a crowd.

He has always praised her, seems sort of strange all this has happened.I know there is more to this story
