Stevie dedicates Landslide to someone most of the time. I thought we could have a thread where we share our favorite landslide dedications.
My all time favorite is from the last night of the BTM tour, when Lindsey played landslide on stage:
Oakland Dec. 7, 1990
"This is a very simple song. And I would like to dedicate it to Buckingham Nicks, because, I hope, that maybe some day he will find it in his heart to spend some time with me again and maybe do some new music."
Here's a youtube vid of it:

Another good one is from the Baton Rouge show in 1978. I only like it so much because the way stevie says "hello baton rouge" is just sooo sexy.
There are a lot of other good ones - what is your favorite?

I like the Live in Boston dedication. Even though it's not a fave of mine, even non-fans know the Dance, "this is for you Daddy." I hear that repeated all the time.

From the bootleg album ALBATROSS, BUT NOT AROUND MY NECK PLEASE after Landslide she says, "that's a special song. But you're pretty special out there yourselves."

"I'd like to take just a moment to dedicate this very old song to you London, because you're very special to us...it's called Landslide."

U know what?? i read this..went to listen to it and it is as clear as the nose on my face that what is being said..WOW!! it was like looking one of those psychiatrists pictures and being asked if you "see a woman" in a big blob of black ink...it's pointed out to you and you can't understand HOW you couldn't see it in the first place..bottom line..thanks so much for clearing up a 29 year puzzle..i may now rest :-) Oh yea..this is my favorite dedication because although stevie's singing is a bit rough in this version, it is clearly the most heartfelt she has ever sang it, i think...a beautiful version of this song with a very sweet dedication.

I've always been fascinated with the Landslide dedications. I haven't updated this in a long time, but here are a few of them:

last wed. night in Baltimore when Stevie dedicated Landslide to Ashley, who was standing to my left.
This one from the SYW tour is funny... "Well, just... tomorrow this place will be filled with.. horses! I'd like to dedicate this song to the Calgary Stampede. It's called 'Landslide'".

That's cool. Who is Ashley in relation to Stevie?

The last time Stevie played a solo show in the Twin Cities (I don't remember if it was Minneapolis or St.Paul), she dedicated Landslide to "my one and only husband, Kim Anderson".

"Well, Nashville, home of back-porch-singing and country and everything....this is a song called Landslide and I'd like to dedicate it to you."--Rumours Tour stop in Nashville (the date escapes me)
^^This made me laugh the first time I heard it. Such a California kid. lol.

Speaking as someone who will hopefully attend her first Mac concert in Dublin this October ... what do I need to do to get Landslide dedicated to me...? ;)

"I need to dedicate this next song to Lindsey because he and I aren't getting along very well at the moment, but there are times when he is nice to me, so maybe if I do this dedication, he will stop harassing me and slapping my chest whenever we board the airplane. This is called Landslide."

same here! It was one of the most heartfelt dedications I've ever heard! Stevie was so sincere and so full of love for sweet Ashley!

This qualifies as my least favourite dedication. I was there and I was mortified...apparently there was straw in their hotel lobby, according to Cory's blog.
I SWEAR TO GAWD STEVIE, it's only like this for 10 days a year!
Thing is, I think most of the times they've been to Calgary, it has been close to or during Stampede. Sigh...
This time around, I'm hoping for some sort of dedication alluding to their rescheduled date. Haha!
