I just got home from the Milwaukee show, and it was awesome. I was able to be right in front of the stage and it was amazing . I'm a little too tired to give a play by play, but here are my initial reactions:
Lindsey was amazing! When he came over to our side of the stage for So Afraid, he literally stood right in front of us. My friend Jessica and I touched his legs and got to play his guitar!!!
Stevie was beautiful, but she wasn't as interactive as I hoped she would be. I tried to give her roses after Silver Springs and she looked at me and kind of acknowledged it but wouldn't come up to take them. Gold Dust Woman, Storms, and Silver Springs were all fantastic though. I couldn't believe I was right there at the stage! I was just in awe most of the time though--she is so captivating and I couldn't believe she was only a couple of feet away from me.
John and Mick were great. We were right in front of John and we cheered for him several times. He smiled at us a couple of times and gave us a thumbs up
I didn't bring in a camera, and I was glad not to be distracted by taking pictures--I just wanted to take in the experience. I got to meet a couple Ledgies--hi Alicia and Amy!!!
It was so worth the money spent--an amazing night I will never forget. I'm curious what others thought especially those sitting further back as the sound is obviously not great right in front.
I hope everyone had a good time!!

I too am back home from the Milwaukee concert. I thought there was great attendance, as the venue seemed rather packed, although Stevie said that they almost didn't make it to Milwaukee. It was my first time seeing the band live and it was a spectacular show that exceeded my stratospheric expectations.
The atmosphere was electric with excitement, as the audience was highly energetic and erupted in wild, roaring applause after every performance, and the band seemed to feed off of the hot outpouring of enthusiasm showering upon it. I was on the lower level balcony directly facing the stage and cheered myself hoarse, as well, and even uncontrollably shouted "I love you, Stevie!" with all of my might after a breathtaking performance of Gold Dust Woman. Stevie, ever exuding dazzling flair and ageless ethereality, seemed mere feet away from me as I gazed at her through a pair of high-powered binoculars that I was so happy I thought to bring. She is truly an exquisitely stunning lady in person, especially draped in such elegant attire. The rock goddess's voice sounded a bit higher than I thought it would, but her vocals were awesome, especially on the aforementioned Gold Dust Woman, Sara, Landslide, and Storms. She added some lyrics to Gypsy, the song that I was most looking forward to hearing live, and it was an excellent performance. Lindsey was ever the fireballing guitar god who let fly intensely exhilarating, searing guitar solos. His vocals were outstanding. Big Love and Oh Well, as well as Go Your Own Way and I'm So Afraid, of course, were notable highlights for me.
I'll never, ever forget that blistering, dazzlingly exciting concert. Incidentally, I brought my camcorder and started to film the show, but an usher stopped me and told me that it wasn't allowed. Therefore, I returned home with neither photos nor video in hand, which is to say that I hope upon hope that someone recorded the show and will be obliged to upload it, as I sadly have no mementos from the concert. :(

Great photos Alicia. I especially like the 3rd one down of Stevie.
Skyveris, I wonder why Stevie said they almost didn't make it to Milwaukee. Sounds like a great show.

Yeah, I wonder that myself. Maybe the supposed relative lack of requisite turnout almost made the trip not worth it, even though, again, it seemed fairly packed to me. How royally glad I am that they decided to go ahead with the show, after all. :)

Fleetwood Mac keeps the classics fresh
Material might be familiar, but time hasn't hurt well-loved tunes
jsonline (http://www.jsonline.com/entertainment/musicandnightlife/47272197.html)
The classic Fleetwood Mac lineup has released exactly one album of new material in the last 21 years.
Monday night in concert at the Bradley Center, they totally ignored that one album, "Say You Will."
I seriously doubt anyone cared. The Big Mac is on the road to milk the catalog, and that is surely what the fans want. Of the 23 songs in the current set, 14 are from the two classic mid-'70s albums, "Fleetwood Mac" and "Rumours." Those are two of the classic pop rock albums of the '70s, or any other decade for that matter. It's a set list loaded with hits and classics, including "Rhiannon," "Dreams," "Gold Dust Woman," "The Chain," "Landslide," "Monday Morning," "Go Your Own Way" and "Don't Stop."
When a huge band decides to take the oldies route and work the old hits, some questions are logical. First of all, do they seem bored or just going through the motions? The answer to that would seem to be an emphatic no. If Lindsey Buckingham was bored Monday night, it was the most frenetic display of tedium I have ever seen in my life. There is also a slight freshening effect because the old Christine McVie hits have now been parceled out between Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.
Second, has the passage of time and the weight of the years compromised their ability to deliver the goods? That's a logical question. Buckingham will turn 60 on Oct. 3, and he's the youngest person in the band. Again, Buckingham is a dynamo physically. He may be the only 59-year-old guitarist on the planet who bounces when he plays.
If Buckingham is the engine and musical master behind Fleetwood Mac, Nicks was always the visual and theatrical center. That still holds true in slightly muted form. Although she still dresses in shawls and loves to strike theatrical poses on stage, Nicks isn't quite the wood sprite sex kitten of yore. We got exactly one of the old spinning moves with the arms outspread. At 60, Nicks is a little less Tinker Bell, a little more the well-preserved Witch of Eastwick.
One of the smart things they're doing on this tour, since there aren't any new songs: They're giving us something new about the old songs. In introducing "Gypsy," Nicks reminisced about the first band she shared with Buckingham and their days of opening for Santana and Janis Joplin in San Francisco. Buckingham spoke at some length about how "Big Love" became the template for the solo songs he wrote later in his career. This is a band with history, and I think it's wise to share it with the audience.
And as Buckingham acknowledged, they also have a "complex" emotional history. Those old storms seem to have quieted with the years, and at least on stage Buckingham and Nicks seemed to have reached a state of genuine warmth and affection.
One other thing came through. I'm not sure Buckingham has ever quite gotten the credit he deserves as a guitarist. For several tunes, in the second half of the set, it was just Buckingham playing behind his own voice and Nicks, and the sound never seemed withered or small.

Wow-very eloquent and descriptive words. I think you captured it well. Such a great night! I'm glad you thought the vocals were as good as I thought they were. Like I said above, it was difficult for me to hear last night--hoping for an awesome recording . . .
I too noticed Stevie's eyeliner and thought it looked cool--very edgy, Stevie ;)

Yea I dont think I've ever seen Stevie rockin the light blue liner in her inner eye. Kinda weird...but cool..I never thought of that. Oh and her eye make up looks SOOOO RAL!! Its scary...lol
Maybe Stevie wanted the whites of her eyes whiter..lol...When you want your eyes white you'd use a blue liner and if you wanted dark blue masacra. Same goes for your lips. If you see a light blue lipgloss out there...it to make your teeth look whiter

Thanks for the article and pictures Peter. I had always been trying to get Stevie and Lindsey performing in the same shot. Usually, when they are both going at it, they are too far away from each other to be photographed together. There's just one or 2 songs where they kind of overlap and this paper had two shots where he is animated and she's really into the tambo, so those were good to have.
Regarding the song intros, I wanted to say before SHN when Lindsey is saying sometimes his memory doesn't serve him very well and there are long blank passages, he kind of reminds me of the Rooms on Fire lyrics: long nets of white cloud my memory.

Yeah, not sure what song that she's banging away on the tambo, likely the chain. I distinctly recall Stevie moving right in front of the drums behind Lindsey to bang away at the ending of the song... It's an opportunity to get herself photographed with Lindsey together for probably the only time unless they do a wide angle and grab the whole band/stage at the same time.
It was a strange night. Smallest crowd but most enthusiastic I've ever seen at a FM, Lindsey or Stevie show. The weather was bad, but they were already here before it kicked in, maybe they were worried about power outages. I drank Stevie's tea, it was there and I was thirsty. They let everyone up to the stage at the beginning (thank you David for having the security guard set straight) and we all were sweating like stuck pigs, but it was worth it. Lindsey seemed more enthusiastic than when I saw him in Chicago. I didn't think that was possible. Grabbing just about every persons hand, singing Stevie lyrics to everyone, the whole 9 yards. Mick, Stevie, and Lindsey seemed more chatty than usual. I think with the poor attendance they really were just having a good time.
I got a new camera a month ago and this concert was the trial run. The good news is that it films in HD and I captured The Chain, Storms, Go Insane, and a part of Don't Stop. The bad news is that it takes for ever to load to you tube and for some reason has really crappy sound. I suggest watching them with the speakers low when I finally get them all uploaded.

Hey guys, the concert was amaaaaaaaaazing! Everyone sounded great! (Especially Ms. Nicks!!) I'll post later when I'm home from my friends house! xD
Oh, and I did manage to get some crappy photos (I wasn't on the floor, I was at the level above :() and some short videos. I recorded Rhiannon, but it cut off in the middle, so I'm missing the beginning and a piece. The sound and quality suck though, because my camera is old. My camera also died RIGHT before Storms, which I was going to record. :( I'll upload what I have to YouTube later though!

I love the handshake with John and Lindsey. I also really like the intensity of Stevie's expression in 579 and of course I was predictably enchanted with 590 and 591. I'm ashamed to be manipulated so easily, but I can't help it:laugh:!
You really captured Lindsey's stage mania in some of those close shops.
Now, that first one you linked with Stevie holding the tamborine just made me laugh. It's like saying, "I'll give you a tambo right in the mouth!" Michele

No, she hasn't. I noticed right away when she came on that her makeup looked darker and more careless. It kind of reminded me of the Everyday video at first. But it was darker than that. I liked it. It was something different at least.
I think it could be better though. I don't think her makeup artist does her justice. Or maybe he or she does and we just aren't aware of it...
And I didn't see the blue eyeliner at all or did I notice someone giving her the shawl!

Wow, Erin your vids are incredible! That show was incredible!
Quick question, Lindsey played two guitars I was unfamiliar with; I believe one was during Storms and the other during World Turning...anyone have any info on these two axes?
The show was so incredible - I felt that they sounded better than the SYW tour hands down...I hope an official release of some sort is coming.
Erin - BTW, I think it was the Summerfest show (Buckingham's) that I met you at. I was sitting in the front row on Brett's side - who threw his pick at me and I caught in my mouth (on accident of course LOL).
I'm glad the videos were worth the time to upload. 3-4 hours per video. If you have HD capabilities on your computer you can watch them that way. They look great on my tv as well. I'm currently uploading the partial I have of Don't Stop. I couldn't get the whole thing because of the rowdy crowd. :)

Do you all think the blue dot and other lighter, if not vivid, eyeshadow is a conscious attempt to make her eyes look mysterious AND open at the same time? Much hay has been made about how her eyes look semi closed on stage - like she is stoned or on drugs. I personally think it is not a "medication misadventure." Rather, it is she needs an eye lift as she is 60. The use of this bright color certainly makes her eyes look more open to me, though I think her eyelid is in the same half open looking place.

MicheleIt's ok. I saw the youtube video of me in The Chain that Erin filmed. That was pretty wild! Oh and here's a funny story, near the end of the show, I didnt even notice but I had both my arms on the stage and the sleeve on my left arm was all the way up and it showed my Mac tattoo. oooowww thanx for posting this~ i tried to get a good pic of the frakenboks at my show, to show that they were the infamous shoes, but it didn't turn out well enough to post~ now everyone can see what i was talking about when i was trying to describe the 'leather' legs warmers & that the shoes, tho somewhat covered, were indeed the frakenboks:o:D:nod:~
I really wish she would just wear flats if the boots are too painful. Those things are only slightly less ugly than the reeboks.

^They are the 'boks. Covered by those stupid legwarmers. And I think they are hideous. They look like geriatric shoes. And they don't look all that stable. The lifts on them make her look wobbly. I just don't get it. I don't give a **** if she wears the boots, but come on. She can find something comfortable and fashionable. For instance, in Columbus she was wearing flat, knee length boots. They were really cute. They were fitted on her leg up to her knee and were flat. I liked them. I can't imagine that they weren't as comfortable as those damn reeboks. I think she just doesn't like to be short on stage.

I like those flat, knee length boots, too! The way the leather leg warmers go over the Boks -- it looks like little flaps. I was trying to figure out what was going on until I got a better look. It's very clunky looking.
Who is she kidding anyway, we all know she's short. She could walk around barefoot for all I care. I can't believe she thinks these actually look good. I guess you're right ,camchristo, she must want to be taller on stage, that's the only reasonable explanation.

Not a fan of the boks... But they look a hell of a lot better with the leather leg armor. From a distance, which most people see... they just look like another variation of a boot.
Why not just get a pair of boots made with the same mentality of the runner that she wears, except one that doesn't lace up, but zip up the side like her old boots.

Not a fan of the boks... But they look a hell of a lot better with the leather leg armor. the leather warmer is scariest bordering creepy part...slaves to needle put those together in the most unflattering freakish wingcut possible. why not work something like this if bent on having leather warmers...

we all know she needs to get comfy flat stylish boots...
most like we will see a different syle shortly.
selecting from what she has worn thus far, the ankle boots are my fav.
on edit: I'm honestly bummed for Stevie...could she possibly be sheepish about presenting her feet to a cool custom shoemaker. Curious, have her little feet ever been exposed? Is it possible they are gnarled after all these years?

“The Mac Mystifies Milwaukee”
Country Stars Central (http://www.countrystarscentral.com/fleetwoodmacreview.htm)
Music fans of all ages gathered inside the Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee on Monday June 8th to experience an once-in-a-lifetime evening of fine music by iconic group Fleetwood Mac.
Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Stevie Nicks have joined forces once again to give their fans a show stopping evening of all the smash hits and favorite tunes that have solidified the bands legendary career through the years.
The show brought in countless numbers of fans of each individual band member; some diehard Lindsey Buckingham fans sported t-shirts with his image on them, while others, mostly women channeled Stevie Nicks by donning their own take on the intriguing persona of the beloved superstar.
Due to unexpected hazardous weather conditions the show started off a bit later than planned, but even the minor mishap didn’t seem to bother the eager fans from witnessing their idols firsthand.
Emerging onto the stage at 8:15pm, Fleetwood Mac took their respective places on the stage as they opened the show with a rousing rendition of “Monday Morning.” The audience ecstatically welcomed their arrival!! Continuing the high, “The Chain,” “Dreams,” and “I Know I’m Not Wrong” followed.
Stevie showcased her distinctive vocal talents on the pleasingly magical “Gypsy” before shortly turning the tables and taking the audience on a magical journey into the world of “Rhiannon,” and “Gold Dust Woman.”
Donning various beautiful sparkly shawls, beaded chiffon skirts of different colors, top hats, layers of lace, her trademark suede platform boots, and a microphone stand adorned with crystal beads and ribbons…Stevie offered her audience what they love most; her unmistakable fashion sense.
She also brought along her trio of talented background singers Jana Anderson, Sharon Celani, and Lori Nicks. The girls proved that they have what it takes, and their blends of harmonious vocals were a great attribute to the show!
Looking sensational for their stature as music veterans, each member of the band has managed to maintain their image, showing that time has clearly been good to them. Stevie Nick’s flowing golden blonde hair, flawless porcelain skin, and svelte figure are even more astonishing to witness in person, and Lindsey, Mick, and John rocked out in stylish vests, v-neck tees, and leather jackets.
Even though there is no new record to plug or project to promote, the best part of this tour is the devoted camaraderie between the band, and the honest desire to connect with their fans on a very personal level. The midsized arena was brought down to an intimate gathering thanks to Fleetwood Mac.
The audience was very receptive and laid back; they clapped while singing along with admiration to each and every song.
Lindsey’s solo performances of “Go Insane,” “Big Love,” and “Oh Well” gave him the chance to display his impeccable vocal talents and impressive musicianship as one of rock music’s finest players. His astounding energy level left the audience in awe following each performance!! He is definitely underrated, and that is a shame because in my opinion, he’s one of the finest singer/musicians of our time.
The entire band gave impressive amounts of energy to their fans while playing nonstop for almost 3 hours (2 ½ precisely) with an effortless sense of pure bliss and charisma. Just when you thought the show was about to come to an end, another handful of songs appeared much to the listeners delight.
Stevie’s touching performance of “Landslide” brought the audience to an emotional standstill as Stevie and Lindsey embraced each other for a loving hug. The song holds a special place in everybody’s heart with its honest lyrics and simple acoustic arrangement.
Adding a new twist to an old favorite, Stevie created her own enjoyable version of the Christine McVie number “Say You Love Me.”
The audience roared as the lush sound of the synthesizer began the intro to “Stand Back.” Stevie fascinated the crowd as she twirled around on stage in her black sparkly shawl during the memorable performance!
The band closed out the show with solid performances of mega-hits “Go Your Own Way,” “World Turning,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Silver Springs.” They received a longstanding ovation with thunderous applause.
Before leaving the stage, Lindsey, Mick, John, and Stevie thanked the audience for coming out to the show and shook hands with the several fans that stood in front of the stage.
Mick Fleetwood’s last words to the audience were, “The Mac is back!!” The show ended at 11:15pm. Make sure to get out and head to one of these shows. You will be thoroughly pleased and entertained to say the least.
(Special thanks go out to my friend Liza Jane and Ms. Nicks for their generosity and making it possible for me to witness such a memorable event. God Bless you both!!)

Hi Everyone. I had to register just to ask a question about the sound volume at this venue. I took my parents as a surprise and sat in section 215 (row E). We all agreed that it was way too loud. The instruments seemed to drown out the voices at times. In contrast, we sat one section closer for The Eagles concert and even though that was loud, it wasn't 'so loud' that we couldn't enjoy it.
I'm really attributing it to where we sat? Granted, I did see a few posts from the Chicago concert that said it was too loud; however, everyone that attended in Milwaukee seemed to think it was perfect? It really makes me wish I picked different seats a little further away and just looked at the big monitors. I love Fleetwood Mac and still enjoyed the show, but my ears literally hurt after leaving that night...not the most pleseant experience. What did you guys think?

The recording from this show sounds pretty good to me. Maybe it was your seats. It sounded pretty awesome from the floor, but it's a different experience down there. I do notice that Stevie backs off her mic and is tentative with vocals occasionally, and the instruments are a little to loud when she does that. Overall, I was pleased with the sound both in Chicago and Milwaukee. Maybe since the band is getting older they feel the need to crank the sound ;)

It does depend on where you sit, but that doesn't necessarily mean proximity. I think 2 people in the front row can have different sound experiences depending on where they are located in relationship to the speakers.
One night I went and my ears were ringing well into the next day and my friend was going with me to Staples and I don't think he'd been to a concert since The Carpenters in the seventies. So, I thought he would have an awful time with the sound and I warned him to bring ear plugs, but at Staples the sound was great and not painful at all, even though we were in front row and closer than I had been when I had the bad experience.

It's ok. I saw the youtube video of me in The Chain that Erin filmed. That was pretty wild! Oh and here's a funny story, near the end of the show, I didnt even notice but I had both my arms on the stage and the sleeve on my left arm was all the way up and it showed my Mac tattoo. I looked up at Lindsey and he patted his arm and looked at me and mouthed "That's cool" with a thumbs up!
I totally saw Lindsey talking to someone in the crowd and saw him pat his arm and mouth something. I couldn't tell exactly what he said except for the "That's cool" part. Very awesome!! :)

Thank you, I was hoping someone would have recorded that! Silver Springs was the song that really got me into Fleetwood Mac. It's very special to me, and it was like a dream come true to see it done live. :) I thought Stevie did an AWESOME job with it!

Great pictures Alicia. I want Stevie and Lindsey together first and John and Lindsey are next up on my list. So, I really liked seeing that handshake shot. Thank you.
