I'm going to my 3rd concert this tour (:blob2:) and was wondering if anyone has been seated behind the stage for a show yet? And if so what was the view like? It's in Edmonton (last show i think of this leg). I saw them in Tacoma during the Dance and sat behind the stage and all was well. But they didn't have the light boards or floating light panels then. I'm kind of freaking out after re watching some videos I took in Tacoma this time because the light boards look pretty high. Any feedback is so appreciated. :)

What section? I had no idea they were selling rear stage tickets on this tour- even for the shows that sold out clean.

Section 124. Behind Stevie's side on the very back corner.

Wow! I'm surprised they sold that section. I knew the show was selling well, but didn't realize they opened up those sections.
Does it say anything like "limited view" on the ticket? Its possible they will adjust the way the screens are used but you should still be able to see most of the show.
I've sat behind the stage in a similar section for a couple U2 shows on the last tour- you're so much closer to the band that pretty much anyone else. It can be really cool!

No it doesn't say anything like that on the tickets (which was good).
Yeah, you're right it can be a cool vantage point. When I sat behind the stage for The Dance, I was able to see Christine so much more than if I was in front. She kind of hid behind her keyboard :) And Stevie played a lot to Mick so that was awesome too.
Cool, thanks for easing my mind a bit. Anyone else with behind the stage seating experience?

After seeing this image, I was under the impression you could see the screens from both sides.

Yeah, I know you can see the screens from both sides but I was concerned about seeing the actual people :). It's a good thing the screens are there though, just in case.

Oh, I had no idea that the screens pointed in the other direction too. That's really great. Stevie does play to Mick a lot. I'm like, "He's already a fan. You don't have to try to win him over!"
I hope tickets like that are really reasonable, like $30-40. If so, I don't think it's a bad deal.

Wow. They better not be all that obstructed, then!

So, to answer my own question...I was worrying for nothing. We got there and our seats were actually really good. It turned out nobody was sitting in the first row of that part of the balcony so we moved down to there and had an unobstructed view of everything!
We talked ot John twice and had a great back and forth going on between us and Brett Tuggle! He is so nice, gracious and funny. After evey song he'd turn around and give my husband and I a wave or thumbs up. It was Mick's birthday and I got to yell Happy Birthday to him.
The concert was amazing. Stevie was a diferent person in Edmonton than she was in Vancouver or Tacoma. Adorable would be the word. Playing air guitar and mimikinmg Mick drumming. A big kick at the end of Second Hand News (I think it was SHN, could have been I Know I'm not Wrong). GDW was awesome. Lindsey was, as ever, incredible.
Just a great concert, so worth travelling to Edmonton from Vancouver for it. I wish we could go to Europe in the fall. Stevie said something like "Next stop Denmark...come with us!". Maybe we will :)

That's great. I had been wondering what the outcome was. There's nothing like finally getting to the venue and seeing where your seats are -- and being pleased with the answer!

No, you're not wrong...it was SHN...and pretty freaking awesome.

Wow this is really gigantic! Mick could really watch himself play all night, like he's lookin' in a giant mirror.

That really is such a cool shot!
It reminds me of how in Columbus, during Go Your Own Way, when Lindsey was going NUTSO on guitar, I turned around and saw an ENTIRE arena worth of people dancing behind my mom and I!
Coolest freaking night ever!
