I'm confessing to something that will have my FM-fan-for-life card revoked.

I hate the pictures from that photoshoot. Every last one of them.

The top hat, the ballet poses, the click-clacks Mick is wearing, the bizarre Rasputin look he's sporting. Everything.

Although, now that I'm looking at it, this one is slightly better because Stevie looks like she's about to hurl that crystal ball right in the direction of Mick's previous collection of circular stuff, and that adds a fun element.

Wow, now that's a viewpoint I've never heard! To me, it's the one classic, stand alone, quintessential Mac photoshoot. It's just so iconic. I don't think Stevie or Mick ever looked better, or more "in character." I guess I can see where someone could find it hokey though, and I totally respect your viewpoint. :woohoo:

Yeah you're weird!! LOL!! JUST JOKING!! But I have to agree with the others that I just adore this whole photo session--one of my favs by far!! But the Rumours cover is one of the first images I ever remember seeing of Stevie so maybe that is why I am so fond of it :D I need to go to the bookstore today and see if I can find this mag.....

And he's been complaining about his weight during the concert lately, which is funny to me, because it didn't just creep up on him. It's been there for a few years.

I know what you mean. The yellow looked age, in a way. But I have to say that over time, my White and my Rumours look quite similar in color, which is another reason why I think if you are a fan, you should have one to play and handle and one to store in mint condition.

Maybe that aged look and even the gothic photo fit the album's original title: Yesterday's Gone. That bit of news, to me, was revealed in this very Q interview. My favorite part of the interview:

Lindsey on being told that Stevie and Mick were having an affair:

"They made a big production of coming over to my house, the two of them," he recounts. "'Lindsey, we're seeing each other'... Yeah? So? That's it? There were other things that bothered me about being around Stevie way more than that. I'd already let go of the fact that she was sleeping with other people... It was just one of those things where there was an environment of promiscuity and they got their rocks off for a short period of time and then got bored. That's the way I see it."

Now, I'd have a few follow up questions that this journalist apparently didn't ask! One of them being: WHAT was it that bothered Lindsey about being around Stevie more than her packing up, shacking up with other guys?

They all keep changing their stories around.

I wonder whether "Never Going Back Again" & "Silver Springs" were both about the same situation -- some girl Lindsey dated on the road in 1975 or so.

Checking my tour dates for '75, I see only the Landover show in October & an earlier Landover show in August (which might be an erroneous listing). It's a sobering thought to think that that video we have is the same town Stevie walked in on Lindsey & new girlfriend in a hotel room!
