Hey all, I saw The Bangles this past Friday night in Dewey Beach, DE. Yeah, they did break up at one point, but now they are back. Well, all but Michael Steele; she did retire. They played at the Bottle & Cork which is standing room only, general admission. My husband & I got there @ 7 p.m. & they didn't play until almost 11 p.m. I am not that young anymore so standing that long really did tire me out. Especially when I didn't get to bed until 1:30 a.m. & my dog insisted on getting up @ 6:30 a.m. Anyway, I had a good time, well I tried to even though these two young girls butted there way up in front of my husband & preceeded to shake their butts & everything else & step on my husband's feet. They were annoying! But they were so drunk that they petered out there at the end. And I had to work around a very big man in front of me, but I still managed to get some pics. They are here if anyone wants to see them:

I think there might have been a problem with the sound system. My husband & I had a hard time understanding Vicki when she would talk & sometimes even some of the lyrics. I'm not a diehard fan of theirs like I am of Fleetwood Mac's, so I didn't know all of their songs. They did play songs like Hazy Shade of Winter, In My Room, Eternal Flame & Walk Like An Egyptian. They seemed to be energetic, happy & they still look good. And I don't think Susannah was drinking water, if you know what I mean. And I wish I had their legs. They all have nice legs & the Peterson women both had nice boots. Boots you can move around in (Are you listening, Stevie?)

I remember how big they were in like '87/'88 ....I did like some of there stuff back than....never saw them in concert though. Thanks for sharing the pics....it must have been cool. Sometimes smaller venues are better than larger ones to see a band. Sounds like you had a nice time!!:D

I believe Vicki said that they will be coming out with a new CD sometime. And Susanna said that her niece, Miranda Hoffs was selling their merchandise while they were there, but I didn't go a check it out.

I actually recorded Walk Like Egyptian/Magic Bus on my camera. But I don't know if I can download it to You Tube or not. For one thing I never have downloaded anything to You Tube & for another, I can view the video on Windows Media Player on my computer.

I alway like these girls, the later 80s music scene was started to get trashed with the rap crap like today, these girls were sticking out from that junk and I liked them since.Ive never seen them live.im glad to see them touring.Remember when MTV was MTV.Not CRAP/TV.

Yes, listening Bangles is like going back in time. That magic of the 80s, that I'll never forget.
