New York, NY --- (May 11, 2009) - For the first time ever, two pioneering rock legends, Blondie and Pat Benatar, will share the stage on the Call Me Invincible tour. They will be joined by special guests The Donnas. They will embark on a trek across the U.S., beginning in Saratoga, CA on July 21st and ending August 23rd in Houston, TX. The Blondie and Benatar ticket gives fans of all ages three decades of hits from the two female rock icons for the price of one!

Says Blondie frontwoman Deborah Harry, "Pat Benatar is not only a friend, but a fearless female rocker who has entertained me and her wealth of fans for so many years. This will be a reunion for us both and being able to bring our two shows to fans across the country is very exciting!"

Between Blondie and Benatar, the tour will feature songs from a combined ten Platinum albums, eight #1 Hits and countless other favorites including "Heart of Glass," "Heartbreaker," "Call Me," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Rapture," "Invincible," "One Way or Another" and "Love is a Battlefield."

Pat Benatar adds, "Deborah and I have been friends forever. I'm thrilled that we're finally getting an opportunity to tour together, it should be a blast."

About Blondie

Blondie emerged as one of the great pop icons of the late-'70s new wave punk scene by defying easy categorization. They wrote great rock hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics. They had the hippest clothes and the coolest hair. Debbie Harry went from the pages of Punk magazine to the covers of mainstream publications everywhere. They made an indelible mark with hits including "Heart of Glass," "Call Me," "The Tide Is High" and "Island of Lost Souls." Blondie reunited in the late-'90s, and in 2008, they celebrated the 30-year anniversary of Parallel Lines with a re-release of the album that sold over 20 million copies. Blondie is currently writing for their first new record since 2004's The Curse of Blondie.

About Pat Benatar

Pat Benatar is a four-time Grammy Award-winning American singer best known for hit songs "Love Is a Battlefield" and the iconic 80's hits "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" and "Heartbreaker". Benatar is a top-selling artist, and one of the 1980s Top Platinum Album Recipients, according to the Recording Industry Association of America with 12.5 million certified units, including two RIAA-certified Multi-Platinum albums, five RIAA-certified Platinum albums, three RIAA-certified Gold albums, plus 19 Top 40 singles to her credit. Recognized for her thrilling mezzo-soprano vocal range, Billboard Magazine ranked Benatar as the most successful female rock vocalist of all-time.

Pat Benatar was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame at the Second Induction Award Ceremony and Fundraising Gala held October 30, 2008. In her acceptance letter, Pat said, "My upbringing, and the values and ideals I learned back in my hometown kept me grounded. I never forget that a small town girl from Lindenhurst, LI actually got the chance to live her dreams." She added, "Long Island girls ROCK!"

I knew they were playing Musikfest in PA for awhile because they were double billed on the site. The artist I work for is playing the same day they are and I want to go but he's got dates in between that I can't go with him because of my other job.

It's really cool they're going on the road together. I saw Pat last summer and it was pretty good show.

I hate to say this, but my first thought was I wish it was just Blondie. I like one or two Pat Benatar songs, but I'm not a huge fan. They are coming to Austin, tho so I may very well end up going. Yay!

Funnily enough I'd be the complete opposite, I've got every PB album, but couldn't name more than a couple of Blondie's songs...

I'm going! I despise the Music Hall, but happy it's general admission. I love the Donnas and have seen them twice, but I've never seen Pat or Blondie. They both fall into the "see them now while you still have a chance" category.

Love the tour poster, I'd heard about the artist, but haven't seen it 'til now, thanks for posting it!

Ooh I hope they add a Pittsburgh date since I have never seen Blondie. I saw Pat Benatar once for free at the IC Light Ampitheatre in Pittsburgh a few years back and she was fantastic! My hubby and I stood near the front the entire time and had a blast. I was amazed at how well her voice has help up over the years.
