If you take a look at the offer, you'll see that the 2 for 1 tickets are hardly nosebleeds, and are better than over half the seats that were made available (meaning I'm not counting behind the stage). Its hardly the "last 1000 nosebleeds"- its more like desperately trying to fill the last ~4000 lower bowl tickets by discounting them 65% from their original price.
I have perspective; I can see how the venue might think this show is successful in certain ways, but its ridiculous to think that the promoter would feel as such by offering such deep discounts on quality tickets.
EDIT- seating chart, from Qwest Center's website. $150 tickets now priced at $38.75 each when you buy 2.

Hey Luke, you seem to know alot about how this tour is doing. How about sharing which upcoming shows are selling the best? Oakland maybe? That's the show I will be attending, and they usually draw a pretty big crowd in their Bay Area performances.

They're doing okay- if they were playing only Oakland OR San Jose, the show would be sold out clean. There's no chance they would ever cancel either show, if only because of the band's connection to the area. Oakland had a $25 ticket offer a week ago or so, and I've gotten two emails in the last month offering comps.
I'm actually surprised at how well Sacramento is selling, especially for a Monday night
I just pulled sec 119 for $38...awesome.

section 119 isn't the floor, it's lower bowl~
119 is a good seat for $38....I do feel bad for those that spent $147 though...ouch
Sec 119 is still available a week after the 2 for 1 offer became available. I know some friends who bought last week but I can't believe these aren't getting bought up at this price. Very surprising.

Ok so I bought my full price tickets months ago for Omaha. Went just now to check out what's left on Ticketmaster. I searched for full price tickets and it came back with main floor row 2!!!! I'm screwed because I paid the same price for 1st balcony seats in the center of the auditorium. But those of you who were smart enough to wait until the last minute - go get your tickets now. I had to retry 3 times before I got main floor row 2 so give it your best shot!

That sucks you are sitting at half court for full price when they sold seats for $38 a few sections down. You won't be able to get on the floor but if I were you I'd try to sit closer to the stage--I bet you can find open seats. The good news is you are going to see a great show!

Fleetwood Mac's back, having a 'good time' on the road
BY KEVIN COFFEY
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER
After a lengthy time in the studio and a long tour, members of Fleetwood Mac chose to go their own way.
Now, after several years off, the group (Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Buckingham and John McVie) is together and touring again for its “Unleashed” tour, which stops tonight at Qwest Center Omaha.
The band last performed in Omaha at a sold-out show at the arena in 2003, one of the first concerts after the Qwest Center opened its doors. Last time the band was in town, it was promoting the release of its album “Say You Will.” Because Fleetwood Mac hasn’t released an album since then, this year’s tour has a greatest hits theme.
Many of those hits came from the band’s “Rumours” album, recently released as a CD/DVD box set. One of the best-selling albums of all time, it includes songs like “Go Your Own Way,” “Dreams” and “The Chain,” and won the band a Grammy Award for album of the year in 1977. It’s ranked No. 25 on Rolling Stone’s 500 best albums of all time.
Personal drama amongst the group at the time — including a rotating cast of band members, marriages, relationships, divorces and breakups — fueled the creation of the album. In a recent phone interview with band members, Buckingham downplayed the drama.
If you go!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What: Fleetwood Mac
When: 8 tonight
Where: Qwest Center Omaha, 455 N. 10th St.
Tickets: $149.50, $79.50 or $49.50
• For tonight's concert, tickets are available as a two-for-one offer. Tickets through the offer are $38.75 for two, plus applicable fees. “I don’t believe that we felt that the songs on ‘Rumours’ in particular were so starkly autobiographical,” Buckingham said. “(It) was, to some degree, revealed to us by our audience, you know, after the fact.”
At the time the songs were being written and recorded, the band also didn’t realize that the songs on the album would touch so many people.
“You know we saw that we had this destiny, and we saw that we had to rise above the personal difficulties,” Buckingham said. “And we saw that the music could actually be, have redemptive power, you know, for us and could be a symbol of that for other people.”
Fleetwood said band members have been discussing making a new album, but they have to get through the tour first. The group is excited to get together and work on this tour, even without a new album.
“We’ve been apart for four years, now we’re back together and we’re having a blast. It’s, like, terrific,” Nicks said.
“What it does is it kind of frees you up to kind of enjoy each other a little bit more as people,” Buckingham said. “The mantra is really more ‘Let’s just have a good time’ and value, you know, the friendships and the history that really underpins this whole experience that we’ve had over these years.”

The band hasn't put out an album in years, but that didn't stop the crowd from celebrating Fleetwood Mac on Thursday night.
The group put on a simple, straightforward performance at Qwest Center Omaha that showcased all its hits for 2½ hours. Fans got a taste of everything, from less famous tunes like "Monday Morning" to smash hits "Don't Stop" and "Go Your Own Way."
Stevie Nicks at a March concert in New York's Madison Square Garden."Omaha, welcome! We are thrilled that you are here with us tonight. We feel like we should get this party started," Stevie Nicks said from behind her scarf-covered microphone while the crowd applauded.
Drummer and band namesake Mick Fleetwood introduced band members as the "man with the magic fingers," guitarist Lindsey Buckingham; the "poet" and "first lady," singer Stevie Nicks; and the "backbone" of the band, bassist John McVie.
In addition to her trademark scarves and tambourine, Nicks added a few other flourishes to her wardrobe by changing dresses and
donning shawls throughout the set. Before the set-closing "Go Your Own Way," Nicks left the stage and re-emerged wearing a top hat.
Unlike other veteran rockers, Fleetwood Mac didn't update songs to eliminate '80s-era synthesizers or change its stage displays to include an elaborate video montage or pyrotechnics. And the crowd - most of whom looked like longtime Fleetwood Mac fans - cheered them on throughout the show.
Nicks famously sings "I'm getting older, too," in Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide." But while she and the rest of the band are (she turns 61 in a few weeks), they haven't lost any of their vocal or instrumental chops.
Nicks' voice Thursday night sounded as sultry as when she joined the band in the mid-'70s, and Fleetwood and McVie haven't lost a step.
But most impressive was Buckingham, who put on a display with his guitar work during every song, all while splitting lead vocal duties with Nicks.
Although there were two backup guitarists onstage, Buckingham didn't need them. He played lead guitar for the band throughout the concert, switching styles with ease - finger-picking his way through blues riffs, slow acoustic ballads and loud rocking tunes.
During the show, Buckingham explained that the band members had "said to each other, 'Let's just go out there (during this tour) and have fun. Let's go out there and do the songs that we love.'"
He turned to the crowd and said, "Hopefully those are the songs that you love, too."
Concertgoers also heard some history of the band and got a window into how and why certain songs were written. Like an episode of VH1's "Storytellers," Nicks and Buckingham took turns introducing songs, telling how they were written, how each joined the band and how songs' meanings had changed over time.
The emotional turmoil that fueled the writing of many of Fleetwood Mac's songs wasn't apparent Thursday. Nicks and Buckingham made a point of proving that there was no animosity, taking the stage holding hands, turning to sing to one another during some songs and even hugging in the middle of "Sara."
Members of the band thanked the audience obsessively. Near the end of the concert, Buckingham took a moment to address them: "Omaha, you guys are just great tonight. Thank you all for coming, and good night."

I'm SOOOOO excited for you, and can't agree with what you said more!!! The negativity as a good friend mentioned last night, has gotten almost "unbearable" on this board! And they're even talking about it, on OTHER boards! It's embarrassing! I dare not say anything for fear of having my freaking head bitten off- that's how bad it's gotten here! And... I'm a "SUPPORTING MEMBER"...
Anyway, I'm SOOOOOO glad you had a wonderful time, as you SOOOOO deserved it, and your pictures ROCK!!!! Thanks SOOOOO much for sharing!!!

they were the frankenboks, i stood at her feet all night~ complete w/ the little jewels on the toes~
the leather leg warmer things, were leather in the front & spandex on the back & were pulled down over the reeboks, so they really did look like boots~ they looked much better than just the reeboks alone~

i agree w/ you on this~ she shuffled across the stage more than walked~ & we only got a couple of twirls but other than that she was on top of her game that night~ my husband is in this ironman poker thing, so i haven't gotten enough time to type up a proper review or post more photos~ i am hoping to be able to do that tomorrow morning as he usually sleeps in on sundays~
it was such a wonderful show, it needs to be reviewed~ i surely had the time of my life~ stevie looked me in the eyes nearly all night~ & she aknowledged my rumours silkscreen i held up that i have had since i was 12~ & again i have to mention that she didn't shake many hands, but i was one of the lucky like 4 of them that got to~ & it wasn't just a skim, i got to hold it all~ it was the best show i have ever seen so far, by far~

I have to say as a long time Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac fan, Thursday's show in Omaha, was more than I could have asked for~ They were on top of their game, showing us all why they have had the longevity that they have~ The nearly sold out crowd was on it's feet dancing & singing along all night, nearly drowning out Stevie on "Landslide" & the band as a whole on "Don't Stop"~
Stevie's voice was spot on, on every song & she gave us her Rock Star wails & Gypsy poses that she is known for~ The whole band seemed to be having the time of their lives really playing off the crowd~ & the crowd who was mostly made up of older Mac fans, tho i did see a few children there, ate up every minute of what The Mac had to offer~ Both Stevie & Lindsey chatted up the crowd w/ sweet stories of how they came to be there that night~
It was the time of my life~ I got to stand front row center in front of Stevie all night~ She was gorgeous, not showing that she will be turning 61 this month, except for a few less twirls than we are used to seeing~ Just watching her reminded me of why I have come to love this enchanting woman so much~ There is nothing like her & I doubt there ever will be~ She is a timeless beauty w/ a magical-ness to her that just makes her glow on stage~ Stevie seemed to really be into this show, she smiled alot & I would catch her eye, those are some beautiful eyes & she would be staring right into my eyes & it was just mesmerizing~ I have a mini silk screen of the back of the "Rumours" cover that I have had since I was 12 & I held it up before the encore & both Stevie & Lindsey pointed at it~ & before the band bows at the end I was lucky enough to be one of the like 4-5 that Stevie shook hands w/~ It was a nice good shake, at that point she was like a foot or 2 from me & I was so freaked & emotional, I almost burst into tears~
And now for Lindsey, my god was that man on fire & I can totally see how many have called this tour the "Lindsey Show"~ I have never in my life seen someone put so much effort into EVERY song~ At times I was wondering how he could keep going on & on & not miss a beat~ He poured out his heart to us & gave it all he had & even tho I have always loved him~ I now have a new found respect for the man~ He is truly a rock legend & one of the best guitar players I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in person~ My husband was wearing a Buckingham 1993 concert shirt & Lindsey kept looking at him aknowledging that he was here & a long time fan~
This show was truly the best I have ever seen~ Omaha came & The Mac conquered their hearts~

That's so wonderful! I'm glad that the band seems to be enjoying themselves more and more on this tour. I just hope the energy is still there is June!
Since you got to be upfront, what is your opinion about giving Stevie flowers? I know there is no edge walk on this tour, but I'm sitting up front, and I would love to be able to give her something--how are the dynamics with security?

On a side note~ the first person i saw when i got there was davidmn & then we met up w/ a few other on line friends~ one of whom brought her 13 year old son, who absolutely worships lindsey~ he got to stand at lindsey's feet all night & watching him as a young fan was super cool~ he was beside himself~
i also ran into a chick from highschool who used to share my stevie love & 2 of my cousins were there~ so it was like a huge party~ the fans i interacted w/ up in the front rows were from all over & we all had a blast together~ the guy on the radio show i listen to in the morning had me on the day of the show & this morning as stevie's #1 fan in omaha~ that was kind of cool~
but i have to tell you about the drunk girl~ all the people up front had paid to be there & a few others were let up, it seemed like the 1st 12 rows were let to come up front~ everyone was so polite & gracious it was just awesome~ until the drunk lady came~ she was in her 40's i think, she was w/ her daughter who i felt mortified for~ she stood behind me & a few other girls, just wasted off of her ass by like song 5~ she was chanting "stevie, stevie..." over & over in a childish squeaky way~ & she was sitting there telling people around her how she was going to take their spot by the stage~ everyone was trying to band together & stand their ground & then she just starts slamming into people knocking them aside & then running to their spot, she kept doing this to everyone that was around her~ people were getting pissed~ she dumped beer on one poor woman's head~ & half way thru the show she was leaning on her daughter nearly passing out she was so wasted~ I had damaged my shoe right when i got into the show, but was able to to walk in it, but she knocked me completely off of my platform, the whole damn sole came off & i stood there like that the rest of the night~ i was glad there was no security at one point because we were able to be so close but was dying for one to come by & throw this lady out~ i swear part of the reason i was even chosen by stevie to shake hands was because stevie could see this all going on right under her nose~ there was absolutely no need for someone to act this way at a show~ people wanted to hurt her~ one guy even shoved her after she had slopped beer on his wife's head for the 2nd time~ she was awful & i really hope she was sicker than a dog the next day:D~ she should be embarrassed at the way she acted, if she even remembered~
i told her at one point i paid to be standing where i was & i was standing there & she got in my face & mumbled something & then i told her to get her drunk stinky breath out of my face & then she proceeded to blow real hard in my face like 3 times~ she did this to others too~
at first i think my husband thought i was just getting riled up because i was so excited, but then he saw what she was doing along w/ like 100 other people that was in her range & they were all disgusted~

A
there was no security by me~ you could probably get a rose on stage thru someone maybe, not sure if stevie would take it herself, but hell she just might~ i just said that because a girl had a sharpie & her ticket & was right by stevie also & she showed it to stevie to sign, stevie shook her head no, but blew her a kiss~

And now for Lindsey, my god was that man on fire & I can totally see how many have called this tour the "Lindsey Show"~ I have never in my life seen someone put so much effort into EVERY song~ At times I was wondering how he could keep going on & on & not miss a beat~ He poured out his heart to us & gave it all he had & even tho I have always loved him~ I now have a new found respect for the man~ He is truly a rock legend & one of the best guitar players I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in person~ My husband was wearing a Buckingham 1993 concert shirt & Lindsey kept looking at him aknowledging that he was here & a long time fan~ I can attest to that -- Lindsey was excellent! He was really drenched in sweat at the end, after running all over the place!

David,
I think it is really cool that you go to all these shows--I'm sure you have posted your story many times but I am really intrigued. How long have you followed the band? How to you schedule it? Finance it? I think it is awesome and you are in no way obligated to answer any of these questions but I would love to hear your story.

I sit mostly in the $50 seats, that way I'm able ot go to more shows. and for the Tulsa-Denver leg, since I'm taking the bus, I picked these citites because the venues were very close to the bus stations, thus cutting down on travel costs.
Well good for you David...that is awesome you are able to do that. You have to be a real fan to be willing to do Greyhounds across the midwest. There have to be some real characters riding the bus!

There have to be some real characters riding the bus!Oh you have no idea!! seriously though, it wasnt that bad. You really get to experience a differeant side of people when you ride the bus. ANd besides, when my family traveled when I was younger, we always drove everywhere, so I love being on the road liek that to begin with.

i am really hoping they tour again or at least lindsey does
i am really looking forward to seeing him again
does anyone know if either might be happening?
oh by the way i truely believe Lindsey was touched by a guitar
I think Stevie will go back out before Lindsey...he toured alot with both of his solo records and after this FM tour I would imagine he'd take off for awhile. I saw him 3 times solo in the last couple years and he is so fun to see..he really seems to enjoy touring. He is in a MUCH better mood on this Mac tour than he was on the SYW tour.
I hate to say it but I think this is it for the Mac for quite awhile.

Hey Luke, you seem to know alot about how this tour is doing. How about sharing which upcoming shows are selling the best? Oakland maybe? That's the show I will be attending, and they usually draw a pretty big crowd in their Bay Area performances.
Bay Area always has good attendance for FM. Somajoseph I will be there in Oakland on Wed. Section F (floorseats)
