Ok, so in Columbus last night I talked to someone connected with the band who shall remain nameless but who's opinion I trust and this person gave me some good info on shows in June. Keep in mind that these ARE NOT confirmed, but I wanted to post it because like I said I trust this person and I wanted to give people a chance to talk about it.

First of all, he told me that Salt Lake City was definitely on the list for June, but no exact date. He also mentioned AC and Holmdel and said that they were going back to Madison Square Garden. Interestingly he also told em about another show or 2 in Canada. One of the cities he mentioned was Saskatoon. However, the biggest news, and the one show he was firm on was the final show of the North American leg which he said would be on June 20 in New Orleans.

Finally he said Europe and Australia would take place in early fall, but that they were still negotiating details on those shows. Hope everyone finds this info useful. Either I'll look like a complete idiot or Nostradamus. I guess we'el see which one!

Hmmm... Well if they are going to Saskatoon... Then they HAVE to hit Winnipeg.... It would just make sense, it's the only other major Canadian city they HAVEN'T hit in the west.

I wonder if they will swing thru Connecticut again towards the end of the tour. Lots of bands have done that. The show was a near sell out (if it wasn't entirely sold) last month, so it would be an easy to make up for lower ticket sales at other stops.

Is there a venuw in Saskatoon big enough for them?

Yeah, I think their largest venue holds 10 or 11 thousand... The Eagles were just there like a month ago and sold out 3 nights... There's demand for bands that haven't been to these cities ever or in a long time. They haven't been here since 1990 and I believe Saskatoon would be the same.

Regina has the Mosaic Stadium. ACDC is playing there and the Rolling Stones played there in Oct of '06. Brandt Centre/Ipsco Place has Rush last year - I was there and it was PACKED!

I'm too jittery to think of any Saskatoon venues, but FM played there in 1990.

If Stevie gets her way they will come to Australia, because in recent years she's really become quite "into" Melbourne, in particular. Mick also, has indicated an affliation with Oz in radio interviews during SYW.

Despite the likelihood, I'm taking no chances - joining the tour in Dallas and going to about half of them through to Vegas. Just waiting for those good seats to magically appear on TM!

I agree Musicman408, I'm in Louisville and I can't believe they have not came to Cincinnati, Indy, Louisville, Lexington or Nashville? They and Stevie atleast usually go to Nashville at the Gaylord Arena... I'm sick and tired of always having to go to Dallas to see them. But then they go and double back to cities they have already played at, or six dates in one state. So I guess if they don't come to Cincinnati, Indy, Louisville, or Nashville... they won't get my little $300.00... :distress:

I dunno... it's almost May and they still haven't announced official dates and ticket info? It's one thing if they were just starting out on the road, but these are markets that they have already criss-crossed, especially in the Philly-NJ-NY corridor, barely a month ago. And it's not like there was such incredible demand the first time around either. I do recall that the final final leg of SYW was comprised of a handful of widely-scattered dates in the east and midwest, but I thought those were pretty much all make-up dates. So these new rumoured dates, coming from seemingly out of nowhere, is a mystery to me!

I am probably in the minority, but I have a 3 week old and 2 year old and atlanta is just too tough for me with those 2, but by June I could get someone to watch them overnight. So I am hoping for Chastain in June. Not sure if it could happen? Or Nash-vegas.

You know, I actually scheduled a mini=vacation for two days before the concert is scheduled. I was going to leave on the 13th, but...well...we'll see, now.

And the really strange thing is I was planning on buying Chicago/Earth, Wind and Fire tickets. Good thing I didn't spend my money.

Not in Europe, i have been to lots of concerts and all of them where anounced at least three months before and i also mean arenaconcerts.. So you know my point. Here in Europe we have more time to sell our tickets.
It always has been this way. So if FM wil come to Europe afther they had a summertime break we will soon have new dates. at least i hope so!!!

Yeah, I have to say I've never known an arena show to be announced just five weeks in advance here in the UK. Usually it's at least three months in advance, often more than that.

Why do you suppose that is? Is it just because that's the way consumers have been conditioned to expect the lead-time to be? Do you think sales would considerably suffer if there was a concentrated on-sale period?

I really don't know but here are a few concerts in Holland to let you know what i mean. It is the same in Belgium and i believe for the rest of Europe.

Eagles, date of concert 18-07-09 tickets on sale 13-12-08
Coldplay, date of concert 10-09-09 tickets on sale 09-12-08
Tina Turner, date of concert 02-05-09 tickets on sale 06-02-09
Crosby Stills & Nash, date of concert 06-07-09 tickets on sale 13-03-09

Just a few concerts but this is how it works here. You see we have lots of time to get our tickets. If you look at it this way and FM will go to Europe after the summer than we can have new dates around June!
What do you think?????

What do you think?????

I have a theory (although it doesn't apply to all cases). Most high profile arena/stadium tours start in North America, and while the European dates are planned & set at the same time, they may take place months after the first batch of North America dates. But, since they announce them all (NA & Europe) at the same time, they put them all on-sale at (roughly) the same time.

Maybe it has something to do with how the act is paid by the promoter and in what currency... if the promoter pays the act in US currency but collects money in all other European currencies including the euro could that be a factor with the exchange differences etc. I mean maybe collecting large amounts of money on ticket sales (and invested) in advance by the promoter is needed to offset the cost of the act being paid in US funds.... I'm just guessing. I have no idea what the euro is today in relation to the us dollar or vise versa and how these acts are paid when they travel to far off lands.

WOW how nice!! You coming to Houston on May 2nd by chance??? If so, I'll be there!

I have no idea, but you may be right! That said even bands who start their tours on this side of the Atlantic do that. I've known some tours to be announced a year in advance, especially ones aimed at a specific audience, like more mature concert goers (for say Il Divo) or casual ones (for concerts like Boyzone or Take That).
Smaller shows, like club or theatre ones (up to a couple of thousand), tend to be announced a month or two in advance.

1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore's largest indoor sports and entertainment facility, has long been considered an anchor, which contributed to the growth and prosperity of Baltimore. The facility opened in 1962 and was the cornerstone of the Baltimore Inner Harbor redevelopment. Major renovations occurred in the late 80's. The 1st Mariner Arena is just a short distance from harbor front attractions and major hotels. An 850-car garage is attached to the facility for the convenience of patron parking and there are thousands of additional parking spaces nearby.

1st Mariner Arena began as the Civic Center in 1962. In 1986 the facility was renamed the Baltimore Arena and in 2003 was again renamed 1st Mariner Arena. The official opening of the Civic Center began with a Baltimore Clippers game with entertainment by Paul Anka. From there, the list of stars and guests increased with acts like the Beatles, Elvis, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, the Supremes, and more.

1st Mariner Arena is City-owned facility which hosts an average of 800,000 guests and 120 events annually. One professional sports franchise-- the Baltimore Blast MISL soccer team calls 1st Mariner Arena home. Shows like Sesame Street Live, Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice, Stars on Ice, Monster Jam, Motocross, WWE and more, regularly play the facility each year. The Arena also hosts events such as boxing, basketball, graduations, tennis, comedy shows and other miscellaneous events.

SMG, a Philadelphia based private facility management company, assumed leadership of 1st Mariner Arena in 1999. Since then the Arena has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment such as Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Toby Keith, The Eagles, Kanye West, Rascal Flatts, U2, Martina McBride, Hilary Duff, the Rolling Stones and more. In April of 2006 1st Mariner Arena will host the 55th Annual Miss USA Competition.

1st Mariner Arena has 11,000 permanent seats (3 levels in a horseshoe shape) facing a 58' deep x 117' wide x 42' high wooden permanent proscenium stage. Temporary seating is used on the floor and/or the stage for various event configurations. With floor seating concert or meeting capacity is 13,500; other shows and sporting events capacities range from 11,000 to 14,000. The Arena can also be curtained down to a 5,000-person capacity with a portable stage house center. The ice system was completely replaced in 1997.

1st Mariner Arena is easily accessible via Interstates 95, 295, 83 and 395 and is located approximately seven miles from Baltimore/Washington International Airport. The light rail and major bus lines stop alongside the facility.

I sure hope that's the case. That'd be great. Houston's a little too far for me right now.. concerning money, so I am gonna start putting some money aside (whether my husband likes it or not, lol) just in case they do come to New Orleans. Thanks so much for the info.

1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore's largest indoor sports and entertainment facility

Its a dump. A renovated dump, but still a dump. Very small, though- probably the smallest venue on this tour (other than Uncasville, of course)

The list of venues where the Beatles and/or Elvis Presley played that are still functioning facilities gets smaller every year.

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 29, 2009 – Fleetwood Mac will be performing live at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Saturday June 13th. Tickets for the concert are available at www.actickets.com , the premier provider of concert and show tickets for Atlantic City entertainment.

In 1967, the British based band Fleetwood Mac was formed out of London. Peter Green was the founder of the group along with members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and John Mayall. In the beginning, the group only recorded five songs one of which was titled “Fleetwood Mac.” Soon after the set of songs were released, Green and Fleetwood left the band and urged McVie to follow their lead. McVie rejected the idea being that they were a “no name” band at the time. The pair became so desperate for McVie’s talent as a bassist, that they named the band in honor of his name “Fleetwood Mac.” It wasn’t long after until McVie changed his mind and agreed to be a member of the band.

In 1968 the group released their first album titled “Fleetwood Mac.” The album was s huge success in the UK and ranked number four on the hit list. With the continuing success of the band, two of their singles became instant hits; “Black Magic Woman” and Need Your Love So bad.”

In January of 1969, Fleetwood Mac journeyed over to the US while simultaneously being the most popular band in Europe. The band was an instant sensation in the US and highly recognized by major record companies. The Beatles pushed for them to sign with Apple Records, and even though it was an enticing offer, Fleetwood Mac made the ultimate decision to sign with Warner Bros. Records. They have remained with this label ever since.

In 1975, a new roster was created within the band and eventually released the self-titled album “Fleetwood Mac.” This album was commonly referred to as the ‘White Album’ due to its cover. This was a breakthrough album in the States and some of the hit singles included were “Over My Head,” Say You Love Me” and Stevie Nicks’ “Landslide.”

Within the years ahead, the band sifted through many talented musicians until the perfect match was made. The final group consisted of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks. In 1997, these band members came together and released their first album in fifteen years “The Dance.” This album quickly launched Fleetwood Mac back up to the top of the US charts.
In 2008, Mick Fleetwood announced their ‘Greatest Hits’ Tour for 2009 and stated “This is the first time we’ve gone on the road without an album. This is truly a new experience.”

Tickets to see Fleetwood Mac at the Boardwalk Hall are available through ACTickets.com (http://www.actickets.com ).
