Didn't hear anything yet from an concert-goers....just wanted to see if anyone went to the show so we could get an update on it! Maybe people who normally don't post? I'm living vicariously through you all!

Yep, I was there. Great show but I couldn't see Stevie that well. Here is a video of Go Insane. Tons of drunks and tons of people taking photos and videos. We hopefully should be seeing more. Got to meet some cool Ledgies, too.

I was there up in the upper deck. Great show but WOW...poor ticket sales. ALL of the nosebleeds were curtained off except for the 3-4 very end sections. There were blocks of seats open in the lower levels as well. What don't people understand about 8:00 PM written on their ticket stub though?? WTF....they were still seating people during gypsy and they started around 8:20.

Great show but all the empty seats were really sobering.....

I don't even know/think if one could call it 70-75% capacity to be honest by the time you take out all those upper deck seats.

I was there! Unbelievable concert. My ears are still ringing. I am so bad with concert reviews and in-depth analysis, but I'll try something here. For now, THEY ROCKED THE HOUSE will suffice. I was harassed by security at the entrance re: my camera so I had to return it to my car and was actually slightly thrilled that I could just enjoy the show without taking pics.

Highlights for me (in no order): Monday Morning, IKINW, Oh Well, Gold Dust Woman, Stand Back, Storms, ISA, Second Hand News, GYOW and Silver Springs.

-It seemed everyone in the audience was singing along to GYOW
-This man in front/diagonal to me kept shouting "I love You Stevie" and "I Want You Stevie" and "Stevie!!!You're the best" and was totally smashed. It was grating on my nerves because he'd do it at the most random moments, like after a Lindsey solo or during Mick's speech. I mean, really. Then I decided I'd get one up and, after ISA, I screamed "You rock Lindsey: I love you!" and the people in front of me turned around, as if to say that after the song finishes and the man has just done the most amazing guitar solo ever you can't express some gratitude. Good night!

-I didn't really pay that much attention to SnL dynamics, but they did the cutest thing I ever saw when walking out after the encore. They locked arms, back to back, and did this wiggle- but Lindsey's face afterward was precious. He looked like a little boy that just did the funniest thing ever with one of his friends. For that kind of stuff it's worth having a camera...;)

-They both sounded great. Lindsey's mic was a little loud, so I jumped a little when he came in during Gypsy...

-I think I really don't mind the SYLM. It wasn't totally a delight, but I liked it. World Turning, I've decided, is just a little too tedious for me. But that is my only complaint, really.

-I was very impressed with John McVie because I've always adored his "quiet presence" and he got a VERY loud applause so I'm not the only one. But, really, he does SO much without having to say a word. He's incredible And Mick was a totally cool dude. A little weird, but it's all good. I thought his ending speech was really very kind and conscientious. I've decided I really like him despite his slightly annoying personality. He's a genuine dude and a brilliant drummer. Plus he's developed his own little routine and I have to hand it to him.

- Since I was on LB's side, and he is my dude and all, I have to say he was just so, so, so amazing last night. I was blown away by that ISA solo (once again) and he was just in a really good mood. He was smiling a LOT during Stevie's songs and was really getting into them. Like Stand Back was funny because he was lip syncing the whole time and was throwing out some pretty passionate "stand back" and "I think I need a little sympathy" lines. At the beginning of one of Stevie's songs, can't recall now, she was really into it with the graceful movements/singing and I glanced at LB and at the moment he was pulling up his pants and I had to crack up. When he was doing one of his speeches, Stevie was having a conversation with John...like, "Yeah, we heard this one already..." Anyway, he was just ON all night. Though, at the beginning, obviously, he was more wild, crazy madman and then slightly close to the end he became a little more subdued. I attribute that to being tired as eff. I'm still trying to remember that this is an older man jumping, running, doing extremely long and complex guitar solos, and still managing to sound SO good. He's just...is it possible to love him more than I already did?

-Stevie looked SO LOVELY and her hair is gorgeous. I think her dresses are all really pretty She did such a fantastic job with Gold Dust Woman. Loved the entire performance to death. And Storms (stunning), Silver Springs (beautiful). There were a lot of women, in particular more middle-aged than younger, dressed up sort of like Stevie. This one lady towards the front had a pretty cool boho dress and hairstyle. I think that's cool. I had some "Stevie boots" on to represent. When I was walking in, this guy came up to me and told me he loved them. And this little older man told me they were "fabulous" so it's obvious there were Stevie fans looking out for that type of thing. ;)

-The audience was filled with a lot of drunks, but people were seriously having a great time. Cleveland is my hometown, and I think we're a pretty impressive crowd.

FM was incredible. They sounded wonderful, there was energy to spare, and the crowd was eating it all up.

I met no Ledgies. :( I'm sad because that's always fun, but maybe next time. David Mn: where were you?!!?? I was lookin' for you! lol!

I didn't have a beer in my hand, for the record;-)

Ah, so they have added the backward wiggle to the show. Ah, well. Now it's rehearsed spontaneity.

It's still cute, though.

Thanks for the review and the great video!

I don't even know/think if one could call it 70-75% capacity to be honest by the time you take out all those upper deck seats.

Yet, when the sales results are published in Billboard and are manipulated & represented to be a near-sellout, some will convince themselves it was a success.

Fantastic review! I never noticed, but I do remember a lot of people saying Lindsey was loud and startling on Gypsy during the SYW tour and I would get so tickled about it.

I do want to see their back to back wiggle myself. I don't know if they'll still be doing it by the time they get out west, but I can't wait to catch a clip on video.

I have never really liked World Turning. I came closest to liking it during the UTS tour -- I not only liked the digitalized vocals, but thought it fit in with the UTS theme. But basically, the song does nothing for me. if I don't like a song that Chris and Lindsey sing together, then, there's not a lot of hope for it in any incarnation in my book. I guess if I was musically inclined I'd feel differently about it.

What I don't like about Mick has nothing to do with the gracious man I've seen and heard. It's all about what I've read that he's done. That's what convinces me that he's mercenary and unethical. It's it's probably an unfair assumption, because when you actually SEE the guy, whether he's just talking or performing, he's nothing but courtly, loving, eccentric, colorful and very delightful actually.

Love your question as to whether it was possible to love Lindsey more. That's what I always think to myself. I say, "You had me 28 years ago. The Tusk era was enough. You don't have to do one single extra thing to keep my heart." Yet he always does. Another thing I always say is, "And I'd feel exactly the same way about you, even if you looked like Joe Cocker." Which I mean most sincerely, but . . . he doesn't look like Joe Cocker..

I was there and the attendance wasnt very good at all. It filled up as the show went on, but there were definitely seats that were blocked off in the upper level. Oh I'm with Torri right now at a Hampton Inn in Columbus getting ready for the show ! YAY!!!

I'm sure the fact that they had both a Cleveland and a Columbus show hurt the Cleveland show. It's only about a 2-hr drive. In fact, I was surprised that they scheduled both cities.

I'm interested in how tonight's show will be attended.

A possible explanation for the empty seats could be the RTA deciding some time yesterday afternoon to perform rail service on two of the main lines into Tower City. I had tickets in the top level (so I would even have been moved down which makes it worse) and I was stranded halwayf there around 8:30. By the time I got back to the station and the car it was already close to 10. Pointless to drive in and make the last couple songs so I went home miserable and defeated. Glad to hear it was a great show though. Here's hoping Sara and Storms pop up on another tour and I don't get stuck somewhere before hand.

Fleetwood Mac doesn't stop thinking about yesteryear in hit-stacked concert at The Q
by John Soeder / Plain Dealer Pop Music Critic, Saturday April 18, 2009

Ooooo, don't you look back," Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks sang at the end of "Don't Stop."

And if the irony of singing "Ooooo, don't you look back" after spending more than two hours doing nothing but looking back wasn't lost on them, they didn't show it.

Without a new album to promote, Fleetwood Mac stared deep into the rearview mirror Friday night at The Q, yielding a concert stacked with classic-rock hits.

A sprightly "Monday Morning" got the proceedings off to a galloping start, followed in short order by "The Chain" and "Dreams." The arena was approximately two-thirds full, with most of the top tier curtained off.

Half-apologizing for not having any fresh material to play, Buckingham explained the rationale behind the band's latest road trip: "Let's just go out there and have fun."

Mission accomplished, to the tune of guaranteed crowd-pleasers such as "Gypsy," "Tusk" and "Go Your Own Way."

Besides Buckingham and Nicks, the core lineup included founding members Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass. They're all in their 60s.

In the middle of several particularly intense musical passages, various band members clutched their chests, feigning cardiac arrest. At least it looked as if they were only faking it.

Two sidemen and three backing vocalists fleshed out the sound nicely, especially on the intricate, harmony-laden "Sara."

A twangy stab at "Say You Love Me" (originally popularized by Christine McVie, who went her own way more than a decade ago) was among the evening's few surprises. Ditto a suitably overcast "Storms," a ballad off 1979's "Tusk" album that Fleetwood Mac hadn't played live prior to this tour.

Buckingham and Nicks also touched on their solo careers, by way of "Go Insane" and "Stand Back," respectively.

Early on, Buckingham joked about the group's "fairly complex and convoluted emotional history." As usual, that history was milked for all it's worth.

The poignant "Landslide" was a highlight, with ex-lovers Buckingham and Nicks alone onstage for a stripped-down duet. They also looked into each other's eyes as they traded barbs via "Second Hand News."

The latter tune was prefaced with a long-winded introduction courtesy of Buckingham, who babbled on about "emotional opposites" and the song's elements of sadness, aggression and humor.

He fared better when he let the music do the talking, most notably when he punctuated a jaw-dropping "I'm So Afraid" with a cathartic guitar solo.

At times, you got the impression that Buckingham might snap up there -- and thank goodness. His emotionally raw vocals and unhinged guitar heroics stole the show.

Sure, this was essentially one big nostalgia trip. Yet thanks largely to Buckingham's efforts, at least it was a trip worth taking.

For her part, Nicks was in fine voice as she led various well-received excursions into the mystic, via "Rhiannon" and other spellbinding oldies. And if there was any lingering doubt about it, "Gold Dust Woman" reaffirmed that nobody -- but nobody -- works a shawl like Fleetwood Mac's leading lady.

it's funny how things "come back" a few days after the show. I do recall this part and it was pretty cool. GDW is one song she always tries to reinvent, in some form or fashion.

I was there! It was my third FM show and i was AMAZING! My dad got me the tix for my bday and told me all week we had upper level seats, and surprised me by bringing me to floor 7th row dead center. THen security said that I was able to rush the stage, and I was between s&l the whole night.

Lindsey was a BEAST his guitar playing was outstanding! Stevie was very calm during Lindsey's songs, but when it was her turn, she was FIERCE! Her vocals were near The Dance quality. And Silver Springs w as INCREDIBLE! It was really funny some HUGE fan (with a huge ass mixed cocktail) asked Lindsey what shoe size he is. He went to the mic and said, "Some woman just asked what shoe size I am, I don't really know what to make of that?" lol and everyone just ADORED Stevie. And honestly, I haven't seen Stevie given such great performances since Enchanted tour, IMO.

Oh and Patti you must've been right around where I was sitting. Were you by chance filming with a red blackberry phone? (someone kept pulling one out to tape the show so maybe it was you?) And great vids thnx much. Mine all turned out like **** haha.

This was an AWESOME show!! It helps when you are standing at the stage all night! Security was non existent! We went to the stage really early, before the crickets, and I thought for sure we would be forced back to our seats but I was wrong, thank god!

I wish I had my video camera, instead of my digital. Who knew they wouldnt even frisk you when you walked in?

I have videos of GDW, which was the best ever, Tusk and Silver Springs. The quality is so-so but check out the butt shimmy thing they did as they walked out on stage for Silver Springs. I am very pleased with myself that I caught it.

I dont know how to embed, so go to my friends account to see them if you'd like

And, I can count another convert I made at Cleveland. My friends boyfriend went from making fun of me for going to all these shows, to planning a trip to Atlantic City in June to see them again. HA!!

He doesn't have to make anything out of it. Just answer the question! A man's shoe size . . .

Very cute.

And 1stimelongtime thanks for the video. I am going to check it out right now.
