It's kind of fun hearing Stevie (for once) make fun of her horrendous old looks. It's usually just us ledgies. It also makes me feel less ... guilty.

Mine too, BUT notice she doesnt really say anything BAD about them. She says "great old movie" "fabulous hair" as apposed to the others " what was i thinking" and "not successful"

Keep in mind that she thinks her hair looks great in the "Blue Denim" video. I think that's her worst....look....ever!!

Oh my gosh, I completely agree! I couldn't BELIEVE what I was hearing on the crystal visions commentary when she was talking about how amazing her hair looked in that video. I guess she meant it...remember the photo shoots/interviews at the beginning of the SYW tour? Someone should have told her!

I KNOW! There's that one group pic, TITN era, where she (and her hair) look incredible - one of my favorite photos ever.

It's kind of fun hearing Stevie (for once) make fun of her horrendous old looks. It's usually just us ledgies. It also makes me feel less ... guilty.

This article (or whatever) IS pretty funny. I never feel guilty about making fun though. :cool:

I have always wondered how/where she came up with those Bella Donna hair "mudflaps." At the time I thought it was going to be a big style sensation. But then again, I suspect that in reality, those things would get old quickly after constantly smacking you in the face every time you moved your head.

I think she looks awesome in all of those photos, but if I had to skip one, it's the one where she has black hair...I don't think it fits Stevie...:shrug:

I've never liked the Jose Eber look she did for Rock A Little, her so called "ratted mullet". I remember seeing some show about her at the time (1986) getting that hair style and how she was doing some woman's hair as well. The woman looked horrible when Stevie was done with her. But not as bad as Stevie did with those straight bits hanging there. She liked them so much at the time that she allowed the closeups to be filmed for Red Rocks with that hair (even though it doesn't match the hair in the concert!!).

I didn't see that segment at the time, but I just recently watched it on a commercial Web site -- it's been uploaded & you can watch it. I can't remember which one, but I think someone here recently posted the URL -- it's the same commercial site that had the film of Lindsey & his wife on their way in to see a movie.

I remember when Stevie played the Forum on the 1986 tour, & that damn Jose Eber walked in with his cronies during "Beauty & the Beast" & bustled around getting to their seats right in front, creating a mini-disturbance. Stevie kept right on singing, of course, but she looked down at him & smiled. I thought, "What the hell is HE doing here?"

I think she looks just about her best ever in the SW video, simply stunning. Some of the OSOTM looks are a bit much for me though, like she accidentally walked into Loretta Lynne's dressing room at some points. :p

Mullets only worked on English soccer players in the 80s. It should stay that way.

I think she probably loved and still loves the red dress she wore on the cover of OSOTM along with most of her clothing from days gone by. And if she really didn't like something she wore or was the least bit embarassed by it, I highly doubt she would ever admit to it. As she said recently, these are all different phases of Stevie.

Hmmm i agree, i think that she probably does love a lot of her old looks, but cant admit to it. How many times have we read or heard her say how much she loves a song or a tour, them a few years later devulge that she actually hated it.... :nod:

I love love love the 'Seven Wonders' look. What I wouldn't give to have my old poster back, it was Stevie at the microphone from the video, in a scene where she is wearing the black dress. It was on my wall when I was in college, and people who passed by my room would always remark on it hanging over my bed. I remember one young lady even said "oh my Gawd, I totally wanna be huh!" ("huh" means "her" in our Long Island accent)

Stevie has said so many times she loves the OSOTM red dress. Oh well, so be it. Not one of my favorites...

It was nice to see some genuine craftsmanship return to her album photography in 2001 -- long overdue.

I know! What an odd pose!? It never made any sense to me. And the make-up is harsh too, rougey cheeks and big smooshy red lips. I didn't like the rear photo either, and I think the photo with the ladies makes Sharon looks like she was unearthed from some ancient tomb in Styria.

The only one of those looks I didn't care for was the Cher, black haired poodle look in the bottom right hand corner. On a side note, the RAL hair I did enjoy and I always wanted to see the "complete" MTV video of the interview she did with that hair. Does anyone have ALL of it??

at first i thought she was being sarcastic
and i was a little sad that she was making fun of her hair
but that took some serious ass work
