View Full Version : Writing A Letter For Stevie!!

Alright, I'm thinking I'm going to write a letter for Stevie- to give to her at my show.

I was wondering if you all had suggestions on who at the venue I might want to try giving it to- or, since I am so close, should I just throw it on the stage at the end of the show or something?

Just let me know guys!

Much Love,
Ethan

I'm sure if you just put it on the stage before the show a stagehand will get it to her at some point. I've seen this done at various shows. As far as actually HANDING it to her though - that would only MAYBE be possible during a solo show, not with FM.

I was able to hand her a letter at her last solo show during the Edge walk. She looked right at me, grabbed both my hands, gave me the biggest smile and I told her I loved her and she said I love you too back to me. But afterwards I felt bad because the letter was all about me bitching about the same old boring set list and that she needs to change it! :o

Do you plan on writing it by hand? Either way, you might want to bring a couple copies with you, if you're reasonably certain that the first attempt won't end up reaching her.

Ethan, just chuck it onstage. Make it into a paper airplane and let it be taken by the sky.

I'm thinking I may just chuck it on stage after the show!!! Or would before be better???

Consider firing it from a motorized, solid-state spitwad launcher.

Ethan,

I would agree with everyone here and either hand it to Stevie on stage or sometimes you can catch Cory's attention before the show and give it to her. Cory always checks Stevie's mic before the shows.

Security probably won't do anything for you or give it to Karen and well, that's a different story all in it's own.

Most FM fans are pretty cool at a show and would help you get it up on the stage if you can't get close enough.

Best of luck..."I hope you make it"!

Good luck getting the letter to her!

Can someone suggest the best address to send a letter to Stevie? I know it's a long shot that it would actually get in her hands, but I'd be curious if anyone knows some "inside" info ;)

I was thinking simply sending something to her management office probably wouldn't get to Stevie or Karen. Any thoughts?

I'm more on Lindsey's side- so I don't see how I could give it to Stevie while she's on stage- unfortunately:distress:

Cory, as in Lindsey's Cory- what does she look like?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking I may try Cory, or just try getting it up there at the end of the show as those are probably my strongest options.

I hope I make it too.;)

I woudn't bother. Your seats are 5th row - not very close. :distress:

Ethan, they usually let the first 5 rows up, so I think you'll have a really good chance. If you can't get right to the stage then ask people to pass it up. You could try Cory first and if that doesn't work then try at the end of the show. It's worth a try  Good luck

I wouldn't bother with a letter, either. One, you are killing a tree for Stevie Nicks, who won't respond to your letter or may not even read it. Second, what do you really have to say to her that she hasn't already heard? "Your music touches me." "You've helped me through tough times." Being at the concert already shows that.

I would hate for Ethan to get his hopes up, since some venues only allow the 1st 2 or 3 rows up. :(

I say write your letter and try to get it up to the stage (maybe you can ask the ppl in the first few rows to put it up there for you, it's been done). Still, even if you personally handed it to her it's not to say it'll get read. That would depend on a lot of different things. It's basically left to the hand of Fate. But you wouldn't be any worse off. And you never know. . . Of course the best bet would be to pass it off to someone who's in her immediate circle. But even then, they don't always get read. Good Luck.

This is very true.

As for throwing it on-stage there's probably a better chance of getting in touch with her via twitter. :p :sorry:

A lot of venues in So. Cal. will let anyone in the orchestra area kind of mill around before the show starts. If it's like that where Ethan is going he will certainly have a chance to put a letter on the stage for a stagehand, Karen, or Cory to bring back. As far as front row always being best, I disagree. I've had it before for a Stevie show just a couple years ago and found that I actually prefer rows 3-5. Front row for me is too close. I have gotten much more band interaction sitting in 3-5 than row 1. They literally have to look down at their feet to see people in the front row. Having front row does pretty much guarantee you Edge walk success though, although that obviously doesn't happen with the FM tour. Just my opinion.

What about running on the stage naked during a Stevie song and hand her the letter then? Not only is that sure to get her attention but she might actually read the letter as she'll be curious as to what you wrote.

Plus, depending on:

a) Your physical assets
b) Stevie's celibacy status

You might even get a date for the night! ;)

I was able to get my seats updated, so now I am 3rd row center, maybe a seat or two closer to Stevie!!!!!

That's a very interesting point with the whole audience interaction thing, and it does make sense. So perhaps we're in for a stellar night!!!!:blob2:

Well actually I'm writing a book (very slowly I might add although nearly finished) where the wife of the main character is pretty much based on a Stevie Nicks character. Her husband met her by kissing her at the front row of her concert when she came down to meet the fans and she made security bring him to her room....

Actually probably based more on my fantasies with Stevie Nicks than anything else...

So you know...just thought maybe it might work for Ethan....

If you're 3rd row center, the stage lights will be on you, so the band will definitley see you. So, don't do anything stupid like pick your nose. :D

You ARE in for a stellar night Ethan! There's no feeling like it as you walk down to those seats when they are so close. The only problem now - you'll never want to settle for less after this. (That's how I am now - rows 1-5 or nothing - and I blame Stevie/Lindsey interaction for that!)

Have fun and let us know how it went!

My sentiment exactly.

It's almost like a teeny-bopper from 1972 joining the David Cassidy fan club with the hope of forging a closer relationship to their icon. It's just so much more creepier when the artist is 60. It's nice that a fan feels so inspired to write a letter, but it is sadly naive.
