I want to get a cresent moon necklace for me and a friend and I wanted to know if Camias Designs was still a legit place to get one?

^Yes, yes, yes. I bought a crescent moon from her as well as a pyramid. I was also given the Stevie bracelet cuffs as a gift. Everything I've gotten from Kelly at Camia's is gorgeous!

I would totally recommend Camias Designs. Not only does the necklace look exactly like Stevie's, it's beautifully made and she runs a good and efficient business.

^Take a look at the site. :rolleyes: That's if you want 18k white gold or gold. You can get a sterling silver pendant for $35. With a sterling chain the grand total is $55. Well worth it for 925 silver. Great craftsmanship and fantastic customer service. Any time I've had a question for Kelly, she has returned my email within minutes. Literally.

Like Cammie said, you can actually buy the silver pendant for just $35. She charges according to the materials used.
I'm sure EnchantedMirror or whoever charge less, but Camias Designs, deservedly, has a good reputation for quality and reliability.

They are absolutely beautiful and I get compliments all the time. You can't see them a lot of time when I wear them because I've had to wear long sleeves for like the last 6 months. :mad: But I can't wait for summer weather so I can show them off.

I also have to vouch for how awesome Camias is. I got 2 silver moons from her - one for me and one for my sister - and they were gorgeous.

Sadly, I lost mine in New York City in January, and it broke my heart. :distress:

Absolutely! I also got Camia's Silver Crescent Moon necklace for Christmas, along with the pyramid, and love BOTH of them! They are absolutely gorgeous, and I got them really fast! I highly recommend her as well!:thumbsup:

If you are looking to get a custom moon and are in the Philly area, you can go to Henri David's Halloween and he will make a custom moon for you. You have to go IN PERSON though because there are drawings that need to be ok'd and he is always really busy.

EDIT: and he won't do Stevie's "exact" design but he will go slightly larger or smaller - so that HE knows its not the same...

I want it already! And yes, the Camias moons are TOP NOTCH. THey are the closet to stevies that i have seen. Kelly is wonderful. I joined the ledge years ago JUST to tell people how much i loved the moon i got from her!!:thumbsup:

Henri's moons are beautiful and the closest to Stevie's I have seen. I got one for Christmas from my boyfriend 2 years ago or so and it's perfect.:nod:

yep. he told me he really didn't remember Stevie's moon so I sent loads of pictures. what I received looked nothing like what I wanted. it was cool that it was made by Henri, but not really what I was looking for. I'm sure working with him in person is way different than long distance so I'm sure that is the key. it also wasn't as expensive as I expected it so that's was a nice surprise.

Her bling moon is sooo FAB. I really want one too, but my nest egg took such a beating last year... couldn't justify it even if there was one to be had. If someone came up with an ultra cheap technibond and pave rhinestone version, I would be ALL OVER dat! {cough cough}

Yeah, I think he doesnt want to "advertise" that he does it because he is so busy... he can be strange sometimes.

We have been going to him for years and when I got Sara's (BellaSara) from him he drew on a piece of paper an approximate size and I ok'd it.
He didnt seem to "forget" Stevie's size because he said he could make one slightly bigger or slightly smaller and I asked him to draw a bigger one and see what it would look like and it looked exact to me. He said that it 'was' pretty much exact but he knew that it wasnt in his mind and thats what mattered. He said Stevie's size is made for Stevie (or commissioned for a friend by Stevie) and he won't recreate it, but like I said, he made one virtually exact.... I got it made in white gold, points facing to the right with a diamond in the top with a starburst etched around it. It turned out great!

Sara wore it to the B&N signing, so some of you might have seen it.

camia's are handmade by her i believe~ plus her business is way more reputable~ there are some of us long time stevie fans who have bought from babs back in the day & have received not so good dealings w/ her~

I can't speak for Barbs stuff because I have never ordered from her--but I have ordered from Camias and everything was awesome!! I bought mine years ago when gold wasn't so expensive!! LOL!! :laugh:

Thanks for the info. I'm going to order the sterling silver from Camia. I'll see how often I wear it (not big into jewelery) and maybe down the road I'll get the gold or have a custom one done by Henri David.

I've ordered from Kelly as well.....its only the silver moon....I've still wanted a gold one yellow or white but the prices are just sooooo high right now.....I guess it'll take sometime before that starts to go down. One of these days I'm gonna get one from Kelly again. I've loved that moon but I only wear it on special times or concerts/Kelly is really nice & yes she does a wonderful job too....Now I would love to order from Henri but I'm sure the price can't be cheap esp since he is Stevie's jewler (probably one of them anyway....) but it would be great to do one day ....if he was at least reasonable that is? Who knows.....would love to see pictures of what he did though.....of the made up one that is......:shrug::D

And she doesn't make them herself. Kelly at Camia's makes everything by hand and has the best customer service I've ever encountered.
