I was so excited to see Stevie. And she seemed delightful. And I passed my article along to security who, presumably, handed it to Karen or Stevie. So I'm happy for that. That's what I went to accomplish.

I was hoping to get my groove on too, but, surprisingly, people didn't seem that "into" the music.

And I felt bad that when Stevie left (like 30 minutes after she arrived), half the place had emptied already. :shrug:

Wow....that bartender must have liked me, cause that vodka hit me QUICK! My friend and i hung around like 30 mins after stevie left, but yahhh it seemed to empty out. I got a few good shots, but my flash setting was on a bad one, so blurry for me too. on her way out, she reached out and gave me a double hand slap...that was cool! ;)

You know after all the discussion this week about how her boots kill her feet and all, I think this would be a GREAT look for her even in her concerts. It still fits her "persona" but seems much more comfortable, and something she could move around in much better.. I know it will never happen..but one can dream, mama looks HOT here!

i totally agree with you, she looks about 30 pounds thinner in this outfit as well. i like this look on her as well as those sunglasses, totally rocker chick!

Of course, we’re only human, and our late night put a damper on our big plans to hit up Barnes and Noble in Union Square on Tuesday evening for Stevie Nicks’ first in-store signing in years. We took one look at that endless line of devotees decked out in gypsy shawls for the Stevie look-alike contest and high-tailed it home to nurse our epic hangover.

Wednesday night we kicked back in Greenhouse’s basement lounge where James Coppola was celebrating his first week as the club’s newest hump day host. The venue may have changed, but there was still a seemingly endless amount of vodka at Coppola’s table—which also happened to be the most crowded table in the club! We were back at Greenhouse again on Thursday night for LIFEbeat’s Stevie Nicks listening party—a.k.a. our second opportunity to stalk the Fleetwood Mac singer. Ms. Nicks was the guest of honor at this HIV/AIDS fundraiser sponsored by Chip Duckett and SpinCycle. New York notables like Semi Precious Weapons frontman Justin Tranter, DJ Drew G, Celso and Michael Musto were on hand to toast Stevie and get a special preview of her new live album The Soundstage Sessions.

We had to kiss-kiss the Gold Dust Woman goodbye and head over to Goldbar for James Coppola’s second premiere of the week. The uber exclusive club’s velvet rope fell away before Team Coppola as DJ Lily of the Valley turned out a fierce indie/electro set.

I get invited to a lot of cool things ‘cus I’ve been pounding the pavement of New York City in four-inch heels for a LONG time. But when I got invited to meet STEVIE NICKS at her Sound Stage Sessions listening party I almost died. She is truly one of my biggest inspirations ever. I have every Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks record and DVD. It’s almost an issue! Haha.

I called my girl CariDee English from America’s Next Top Model, Marc Jacobs model and actor Jimmy Knehans, and my girls Krista and Jen and said ‘We HAVE to go!’ Me, Caridee and Jimmy schwerked the red carpet while waiting for the gold dust queen of rock ‘n’ roll to arrive. She made a grand but VERY loving entrance.

After she took photos and signed some things for charity I got to meet her. She was SO sweet and actually wanted to chat. She told me that I looked gorgeous, and that ‘the world is going to want to hear real rock ‘n’ roll soon, so keep on fighting the good fight. Take whatever comes your way in such a weird time in the industry, economy and world.’
