Does Stevie Nicks appreciate the homage to her signature solo song, Edge of Seventeen, in the 2003 film, The School Of Rock?
You better believe it.
In the classic movie scene in question, Jack Black, pretending to be a high school teacher, puts Edge of Seventeen on the jukebox in a bar in order to win over the uptight school principal (a Nicks fan) played by Joan Cusack and the two end up rocking out to the song.
"I'm so thrilled and so honoured that Jack Black and Joan Cusack would pick my song," Nicks, 60, told Sun Media.
"Can you imagine the first time I saw that? I died. I have watched that movie probably 50 times. And I never get tired of it. Because just the idea -- school of rock -- I loved it. I would go into a school to be a teacher just to have that school of rock thing happen. I think it's the cutest thing ever."
