This is my first post on the ledge. I was sooo excited when I got my confirmation e-mail from WB that the Soundstage CD/DVD UNSIGNED litho had shipped. It shipped on the 25th and the ETA is 7 to 10 days. :]

BTW is anyone going to the Oakland Oracle Arena show? I and 4 family members will be there sitting on the floor section F rows 1-5. I've been a fan since '75 and been to see them many times as well as Stevie solo and Lyndsey solo and am never disappointed.

At the moment I am counting the days to get the CD/DVD, hope to hear some feedback on the quality and the energy from the DVD from those that have received it already.

Just bought the DVD this morning, run into it at my record store on the corner...it's playing right now...farbetter then the PBS-version that I had downloaded last month.

Hoppefully the mailman will bring me the CD, which I ordered thru cdwow.com

The Soundstage dvd and cd were released here yesterday. Since I'd already ordered my set with SIGNED lithograph :] I only bought the cd and will wait for the set to arrive. I already have the PBS dvd anyway. The booklet is great, 8 pages with lovely pictures. There is a pic of Stevie and Waddy on the cd itself. Oh the cd comes with a sticker saying " Featuring new studio versions of Stand Back, Sara and Landslide.

A few songs fade out at the end: Sara and How Still My Love (this is my favourite on the album, wish it could have gone on even longer than 7:32 mins!). There is no audience audible on any of the songs. Circle Dance has a beautiful string arrangement. And BATB is just hauntingly beautiful!!!

By the way, the dvd definitely contains Dreams and the orchestral version of Landslide as a bonus track. No BATB though... Mixed in 5.1 Dolby Digital, no DTS track was added for this release. Looks like there is no inlay/booklet with the dvd.

I wondered that also, because if it existed before, SOMEONE on the Ledge would have known, seen, ect. I remember when the people who went to the preformance came back and reported, they said there was this really cool pic of Stevie in a top hat with like mist around her. I was very intrigued by this. THat pic is so dreamy and mystic and just cool. It looks recent, but Anny body know when it was taken?

Some people at the post offices doesn't care about any letters or packages and are throwing them through the hallway. I remember that I've purchased a vinyl years ago (it was a RARE picturedisc) that was somewhat well-packaged between FOUR sturdy cardboards. And what happended as I've got it? The vinyl was cracked! I couldn't believe it but it's true.....

YAY! I got mine today too!

This truly is an excellent set... even better than Crystal Visions. The artwork is FAB! I was trying to see who did it, but can't read the credits because they're too small. Maybe it doesn't even list who did the art work. I'm not a fan of the LightScribe done on the CD, but the DVD is great. The high definition of the DVD and the lighting they used on set is totally awesome also. This is so much more high class and on par with an A list artist than what we've been used to seeing. It's about time!!! Stevie's performance is stellar. Glad to see she has become a lot less wooden than back in the Enchanted days. (I borrowed that 'wooden' term from Dancing with the Stars) :D She's handling herself a lot better on those high boots too. Maybe by the time she's 65, she'll be turning in some performances that harken the late 70s early 80s.

On a sad note, my jewel box and litho were damaged in shipment. Luckily I was able to glue the jewel box back together with super glue but the litho has a nice crease running north to south right down the middle of the black dress. Guess I better frame it so it's not so noticeable! ;)

All in all this is a grade A++++++ just due to the fact that it looks like somebody spent some dough on it to make it look real nice and did an excellent job on the production too! I don't feel one ounce of regret for having paid $30 + SH for this product.

Pretty sure the Warner package is the only way to get the Litho - and both the DVD and CD in one package with the different cover art. Buying from Amazon or anywhere else, I believe they are separate items with the bowing cover art... That's how I see it. But you never know, they may be selling the combo package in the stores come Tuesday.

so she actually did the walk during the filming? I finished watching mine last night and she disappears for a while and then reappears to finish singing. That sucks that they didn't include it. It also sucks that BATB isn't on the DVD. Obviously, something about the performance was not up to par, in Stevie's mind at least. The version on the CD is beautiful but that vocal may have been done in the studio. Dunno, since there's nothing to compare it to. It's a terrific show but I just feel it's not complete without Beauty.

My copy arrived in the mail today...I was expecting the CD/DVD to be in a larger plastic clam shell case, but I was surprised to see it in a typical double jewel case (Which makes it MUCH EASIER to store in my cd collection)

I left the lithograph in the flat cardboard package to avoid and damage to it.


p.s. - There's a small printing error on the back of the release - The title to the song is "Crash Into Me", not "Crash" as listed on the CD track listing.

Looks like a gorgeous, well-done package for fans that I'm glad I didn't buy.
I purchased the separate packages from Amazon as I much prefer a regular DVD snap case and (any and all) of my CD's are ripped and then archived in a box and stored away never to be seen again. LOL.

I forgot about that whole movie issue but surely they could have filmed it a way that wouldn't have shown the video screens?? It is disappointing but I'm very happy with the rest of the show. The lighting especially was outstanding. Stevie was really rocking out in those boots!

but with the pen and when you write in cursive all ur letters are meshed scribble
if it was rushed, yah, the dots on an "i" can be all over the place

So I just finished listening to the CD - had to watch the DVD 10 times first... I don't know if any doctoring was done to these songs, but Stevie's voice clearly sounds a lot stronger. Also, many songs sound like they're sung in a higher register. I am really digging this whole scene... the tall boots, the high class Soundstage kit, rocking a little more, the outfits, the higher registers. It makes me feel like when Stevie retires she's going to be really on top of her game again. I think between the "passage of time" and her touring with Tom Petty and Don Henley, really put some spunk back in her. :thumbsup:

Just got done watching the DVD and the bonus orchestra version of "Landslide," and I must say that my socks are completely rocked.

I watched it on PBS (repeatedly) and it was great, but the quality here is so much higher and the vocals do sound better. I was squealing the whole time to my boyfriend, haha. Poor guy.

And can I just say I love watching her rock out at the end of Edge like that? She looks like she's having so much fun when she does that.

It seems I'm the only one disappointed with the litho. It's too small, but that's not the major flaw with it.
What sucks more is that there was NO care taken in protecting the lithograph when it was processed; with the litho directly against the inside grainy cardboard mailer, with not so much as a flimsy half-cent sleeve to protect it, like you'd get when buying a sheet of stamps at the post office. Mine has some surface scratches above her right eye, and from her right breast down to what would be her calf area, there's water damage or something, and there's a scratch in what would be her cleavage area, and little white marks on the right side of the lithograph. Also, there's 2 white marks on the left side of her top-hat. I think I need to e-mail customer service but what are they going to do? I bet nothing. Really, do not put a lithograph against cardboard with no protection of a sleeve, tissue paper, envelope- something. I'm pissed. It doesn't even have the quality of a good magazine page (say in 'Vanity Fair', 'Vogue')-
But, a calmer mindset also tells me that under non-glare glass, these imperfections won't matter a lot, i'm just disappointed that they did such a suck-ass job mailing it. I can also use a touch-up black marker on the imperfections, the water stain i have no idea, but damn, what idiots. Guess I shouldn't have held it up to the light, then under a light. Dang. I'm disappointed. I also would have preferred the cd-dvd to have been packaged like 'Live In Boston' and 'Crystal Visions' was, this looks cheap in comparison to those two 'softbound' editions. Sigh. I didn't have the money to order mine, but I did go to best buy this morning and got my cd for 11.99 on sale and used my gift card my friend got me for my birthday! When listening to the disc, you can't hear the cheers of the audience. It's kind of cool in a way. I will buy the dvd at another time. ooh i got mine a little while ago with the signed litho and amazingly the post office didnt f*ck it up. i was waiting for it to be damaged so i could flip out on them but luckily its in perfect shape. i won a contest a few years ago online through warner brothers for a stevie signed tambo and when i got it, the side of it was bent which really irked me. my hubby framed it for me and luckily you cant really tell but i remember thinking that is my luck.
i am really enjoying the cd and i am watching the dvd now. it looks really good with my blu ray player.

my mailman broke some salt & pepper shakers also that i had hand painted to go in my 'bewitched' kitchen~ i did get my money for both items, because i paid for insurance, but i much would rather have had the items~

With my trusty ear, I confidently decided it was The Dance.

So, turns out my neighbour's not a thief but a FM fan. Bonus points for her!

I came home late last night and opened up the back door to call my dog. I notice I can hear music coming from my neighbour's place (she's deaf in one ear, it happens a lot), and I stop and listen and go 'Oh my God it's Stevie!' (live, Landslide).

I FINALLY got mine today!!! I can not believe how long it took! But it sounds AWESOME...I'm so happy with the cd (Haven't watched the DVD yet...) After everyone's stories, I was kind of nervous about the litho, but mine is fine...no creases or marks (alas, no signature, either :( ) but it's all good!)

At the customs office? Why would they do that... Mine came directly to me by mail.. I'm in Canada... Unless they want you to pay custom fees.:shrug:

Well, I live in Germany. Usually I don't have to pick up packages from America - no matter how big - at the customs office, so I was really surprised. I wonder what this is all about.

Arrived today! Weeee! So my neighbour's well and truly off the hook...

Like others, the CD's left a few indentations on my (signed ;)) lithograph. I think if it had to have traveled any further west we might almost have had a clean hole all the way through, but it still rocks. :thumbsup:

I love the sound of the cd...it's sort of a hybrid...it rocks like a live cd, but is crisp and clean like a studio one...I couldn't really understand why Stevie did it the way she did (rather than just release a live one) but I am glad she did...I really enjoying the old songs again...

And I didn't believe she would ever be able to top the (released) live version of Beauty & The Beast from Redrocks, but she did! It's flippin' awesome...

I finally got my cd/dvd and litho today after picking it up from the post office. Usually you have to pay tolls if the worth of the package exceeds 22€ and mine was 84 cents above it, but I flirted and didn't have to pay anything. :lol: Oh and the litho is awesome, I was worried it would be kaput, but there's not a scratch on it even though it was completely unprotected. ... the best is that I can actually watch the DVD now. :D

Ok, I have to tell you my story about HOW I got my lithograph and CD/DVD package: I got an email from Warner Brothers that my items were shipped on March 26th. Since then I waited anxiously everyday. On April 15th I got a note from the customs that I can pick up a package from Warner Brothers. Well, I wasn't really happy to do this but hey, I will get my signed lithograph! My boyfriend and me drove to the customs today to pick up my package. After showing the receipt the referee went to get my package. He returned and I wonder why there were two packages bound together. I thought "Mhm, they sent the litho and CD/DVD in two packages??". After I removed the binding who put the two packages together I noticed that one package (also from Warner Brothers) wasn't addressed with my address. It was put together with my package by mistake. I told the referee and gave him the package that was not for me. I opened mine and found out that the litho was signed and in great shape, the same with the CD/DVD. The referee told me to wait in the waiting room because he has to check if I need to pay extra custom fees. After waiting 10 mins. in the waiting room I was called and had to pay $ 10! to get MY package. Long story short: I'm not happy anymore about my signed lithograph because I'm angry how long it took to get my package and that I had to pay extra fee. I was so honest to give the wrong package to the referee because it's not my kind to keep something that doesn't belong to me. But my honesty wasn't honored. I'm pretty disappointed I have to say.....

It always takes a really long time for items from America to arrive here, so try not to be angry about it. 5€ is the regular fee for packages that are "over the limit", so I'm sure you're not the only one who had to pay extra. ... at least your signed (!) litho isn't damaged and DVD doesn't have a region code. :) I almost thought I'd have to hack my DVD drive again to play it, but I was positively surprised.

I don't understand the use of paying fees for a package that is for a private person. I would understand if you're a business person but privately?? And the referee really could have been so nice and not charging me for the reason that I was so honest to hand them out the wrong package. i was just watching 'soundstage' this morning & can't remember if this has been addressed in this thread or not, but during 'rhiannon', after they stop showing the little girl at the beginning during the piano intro & go to a black & white sketch on the 2 larger screens~ if you look to the side of the big 2 screens, there are 3 smaller screens flanking ea side~ on these screens you see a shot of this litho & it sort of blends into what looks like the tide/ocean~ did anyone else notice this?~

i just thought it was cool, since the litho was a shot of stevie we hadn't seen before & i have to say it was refreshing to have something new & not recycled~

anywho...
