Absolute rubbish. And completely missing the point: the writer said that Lindsey should be considered as a guitar hero the way Eric Clapton and Neil Young are. Which is absolutely true, Clapton and Young are often in lists of the best ever guitarists and Lindsey is not (but should be). He wasn't comparing their playing just their status.

I'm shocked at Theresa's bad attitude toward Mr. Young, being a fellow Canadian & all. :distress:

She should be kicked out of Canada. I do think Lindsey is a better guitarist than Neil, but it's insane to say Young can't play guitar. Plus I don't understand the outrage at the suggestion that Lindsey, if he hadn't been in a pop band (I'm paraphrasing the writer of the review here), would be considered a guitar hero like Young and Clapton are. It's a total compliment. Young and Clapton are considered guitar heroes, Lindsey should be too.
I still really like Young's playing though:

Thanks for posting the link. I'm sure everyone will have a zillion opinions of the reviews as they come in. Because this is one of the first, I think I'm a little more worked up with my feelings.
I like Lindsey; I love Stevie. I don't like reading review after typical review of a music critic carrying on about how underappreciated Lindsey is. He's not regarded as a universal talent of all time; I get it. It's not because he's a member of a "boy-girl pop band." That's absurd. I certainly don't love reading some remark about Stevie changing shawls, as though she's less of a serious artist because she likes to dress up for her songs. What's the problem with having a creative imagination that is different than and extends beyond being a tortured artist?
I'm really glad this guy mentioned "Storms," which I can't wait to hear live, and that he went beyond the standard recitation of the set list, but I would like to see, during this tour, a reviewer or two look at the shows as they are, rather than getting wrapped up in the fame and fortunes of the band. That's part of the story for sure, but a few fresh perspectives would be welcome.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you and I guess I misunderstood the article. I'm certainly not outraged  and am in no way a guitar expert , boy is that the under statement of the year. It's just that when ever I have seen Neil in concert, it has always been an acoustic set . His guitar always seemed to be out of tune and there would be strings sticking out everywhere  (which, I guess is just part of his shtick). So I've never compared his playing style to Lindsey's before and that's why I thought it was funny, that's all. Nor have I ever concidered Neil a "guitar hero". I don't think he can sing either but I do love his music and listen to him all the time. Hell, "Unknown Legend" is my theme song   We Canadians are very proud of old Shakey

Oh no, you didn't upset me! I'm sorry, I think sometimes I sound more angry in my posts than I mean to. I just love a good argument, that's all. :)

Now I'm beginning to think that "Heart of Gold" would be a great mid-set duet for Buckingham & Nicks on the current tour.
