Carrie,
I definitely think you underestimate the limits.
And that's fine, it's just...you know...negative opinions + opening night of the favorite band of a lot of people, I mean.. No one can stop you from that way of stating-opinions-as-facts kind of thing, but it sort of ruins the tiny thrill I'm getting from being on this fan-board with the setlist being fed to us...
Not that it's all about me of course...but hey just speaking out like you.

OK that Silver Springs as the closer is looking good. Don't Stop will be in the encore and **** probably World Turning unless Mick has another vest song. Sisters is out unless they do more then 3 songs in the encore.

Maybe they could sing it in the parking lot for me so I get my fill without buying a ticket. :D
I will go to 1 show for Storms. That's it. I can't justify more with this setlist. Yes, there are some good tunes in there, but Storms is all I care about at this point.

There is slim hope of some change. In all Mac tours they usually adjust the set over the first few shows. Of course with our luck it'll be them ditching Storms for Stevie to play a cover song in its place
Oh yeah, I totally agree about those two, it's just everything else was pretty predictable and didn't live up to the promises Mick was making.
I can't wait to hear the bootleg of Storms. It better be good, it's one of my favourite Stevie songs.

So true, so true.
Because I am sure this is not their farewell tour. Not if I don't get to see them. I will personally drag them off their bums and onto the stage by their hair if I must. (Or ponytails, which ever is applicable.)
Careful. Those are extensions.
My God you have a great memory! I'm on my 4th now.. but hey.. I'm loving it, and can always get more..

Like Paula, I am not disappointed, either. It is what it is. The best part about going to concerts is hanging out with those you wouldn't otherwise. How I miss those days hopping here and there and meeting up with Ledgies before and after the show. For the most part, my memories lie during those times, than the actually concert, itself. It seems like no matter how many days....months....years past....you can always meet up at a show and it seems like time has stood still. I do hope one day I will see my friends from here again....blah. /sappy.

I can't say the set list is a major surprise. It's about what I thought it would be. It could've been a little longer.

Well really when you look at the set, we got jipped from Lindsey more then Stevie. And I think his heart is just not in this tour. His arm is really being twisted so much that he just had no desire to even try to bring new songs to the table. Never Going Back Again could've been replaced by Save Me a Place and Second Hand News with something else.
Storms has never been played once in history. I would rather have Sisters but at least we have tons of great Sisters performances forever captured on film. We dont have that with Storms so its really more important that shes doing Storms, for the sake of history!

Just got back from the show and it was a blast. I pretty much knew all of the surprises because of reading it here on the ledge but I really loved Monday Morning as the opener and I have to say it was nice to be surprised by the set list for once. I have to say though that I think the title of the show Unleashed fit perfect for tonight. I had front row and me and my hubby were to the right of Lindsey and he played his heart out tonight. I think for me the highlights were Monday Morning, Storms (absolutely beautiful, loved it), Gold Dust Woman (she killed the scream, it was damm good), Go Insane (faster version and it was amazing!), Tusk (slow in the beginning) and Say You Love Me (I thought Stevie did a great job on this song), I'm so Afraid was good but it did sound kinda different.
The song of the night was Oh Well. I freaking love this song and Lindsey killed it. I hope somebody got a boot of it it was so damm good and right in front of me. Lindsey pointed to his legs during the 'and my legs are thin' part. Good ****!!
Its funny all week I have been telling everybody that all I want is to play Lindseys guitar so during GYOW, he stands right in front of me and leans down over top and lets me be the first one to play his guitar. I was real gentle because I didnt want to break a string or something and then he let others play and then I grabbed at it again before he was done. After that song he was like Hey Baby, HA! Damm he is hot! My hubby was telling me to calm down and then later on he came over and shook hands and then he shook my hubby's hand and mine and then I started screaming, Lindsey baby, thank you, you rock! That is what I love about Lindsey is that he interacts with the crowd. He was talking to the front row people all night and somebody asked him if he was hot and he said yes and he was like arent you guys cool on that ice? HA! Some couple brought up their little girl and he made sure they got right up front and then the girl had flowers and Lindsey made sure Stevie got them. She thanked them which was so nice. The little girl was so cute too.
One thing I missed was the Stevie and Lindsey interaction. I remember last time they came to Pittsburgh in 2003 the Pittsburgh Post Gazette review talked about how much Lindsey and Stevie stared at each other and stuff but this time it was much more different. They looked at each other like old friends instead of like ex's. I do have to say the band was tight and I think they just sounded better overall. I am going to deaf though for a long time from this show.
I got some pics but camera natzi guy yelled at my hubby about 3 songs in and then we didnt bring it back out to the end. I have to say when Stevie bent down to get those flowers I thought a boob was gonna pop out, HA!
Her red/burgundy outfit in the beginning was fabulous and Lindsey wore red. Sometimes I think they read this damm board.

Well said. I completely agree. It's no offense to Stevie, it's just a fact. She's smart to know what she can do, and do well. Yes, a quiet version of SOTM ala the demo is a possibility, but would everyone truly be satisfied with that? I was thinking earlier that I could be.......up until LB's rippin' solo at the end. So I think it would have to start out the quiet way and then rock at the end, which I actually think would be very cool and a crowd pleaser.

Storms was phenomenal. The ticket was worth it just to see this live. :D
Stevie did not use the stand back shawl. This one was red. She was not spinning much at all, and there was no high kick at the end.
Steve seemed pretty unhappy - smiled at times, but overall did not look pleased. I think there was a sound issue in the very beginning, but that seemed to work itself out. Not sure what else must have happened.

Hmm, sounds like something was not going right.
You know this thought occurred to me that if Stevie and Lindsey actually get along, it might affect the performance on stage because there is no more tension/anger/passion to ignite the performance. I hope with the next couple of shows, the interaction gets better. It might have just been opening night jitters.

This concert was absolutely AMAZING!!!
Storms alone was worth the price of admission. She really really nailed it. Gold Dust Woman was wonderful too!!
I agree about the lack of interaction between Stevie and Lindsay that someone else commented on, but they did sing the end of storms beautifully together.
Lindsay was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! This man is incredible!! He gave everything tonight!! I have never been so impressed by any performance. I was floored by him!! My friend, who has never paid attention to guitar players in the past, is planning to leave her boyfriend of 9 years, and her two dalmations, to follow him around;)
I had an incredible time!! In a word - WOW!!!!!
I cannot wait to see them again!!

Last one of Lindsey
Just got in from the show, here are some thoughts...
The setlist - well, what can you say? I was not totally surprised about anything in there and of course, share the disappointment that some of my fellow ledgies have with no "Sisters of the Moon." But, there were some great songs and the subtle changes to the order of the set were refreshing.
Monday Morning - this is great as an opener. I really loved the quick intro into such a great song to start the show. If I'm not mistaken, this was the first time it has been played since August 1980?
The Chain - excellent. Sometimes I just wish John's bass solo would be a bit longer. It seems that as soon as everyone is getting into John's groove, Lindsey and then Mick have joined right back in.
Dreams - Predictible set location. I noticed some high notes from Stevie that I hadn't heard in some time during this one (of course, I remembered that, but if you asked me exactly where they were, I couldn't tell you right now)
I Know I'm Not Wrong - some idiots in my row had to go to the bathroom and get food for themselves at the beginning when they realized they didn't know this one. This is a great song and is a lot of fun, I'm really glad it's become a staple.
Gypsy - nothing noteworthy, not bad but nothing out of the ordinary
Go Insane - seemed sped up from Lindsey's solo tour, no Stevie on this one, similar to the album version. I was surprised at the number of people who knew the words and beat.
Rhiannon - hit several high notes, nailed the ending! Same arrangement as SYW tour. Still think they could do more to toughen up this song a la the '75-'82 days.
Second Hand News - Lindsey did a little intro to this saying it was one of the first songs recorded for the Rumours album, and then talked a brief bit about the album and how well the songs have held up throughout the years.
Tusk - very different from other Mac shows and highly reminiscient of Lindsey's solo outings of late
Sara - so nice to have this one back full time
Big Love - yeah, from a setlist standpoint it's gotten old but I can't possibly tire of seeing Mr. Buckingham's fingers bluring while tearing that guitar up. The word impressive doesn't do his performance here any justice.
Landslide - nice version, the end was a little messed up and Stevie "scolded" the audience for almost allowing her and LB to miss their queue. If I'm not mistaken, she missed the "well maybe" before "the Landslide will bring it down" parts at the end. Plus, there seemed to be an extended amount of "the landslide will bring it down"....I think it repeated 5 times before the song ended.
NGBA - just Stevie and Lindsey on this one, very reminiscient of the old days, stripped down from the SYW tour. Lindsey doing a lot of the little whispering vocals on this one that remind me of the 1980 live album.
Storms - Stevie did a similar to "Beautiful Child" introduction to this one. Mick was out behind a little kit. They nailed this one. Her voice is really holding up great throughout this show.
Say You Love Me - well this was different. Very unlike The Dance, but still somewhat stripped down. Mick behind the kit still, Stevie taking the first verse (Have mercy baby, on a poor GIRL like me...), switching on and off with Lindsey. It was down a key but I thought it did Christine's song justice. It was nice to have back.
Gold Dust Woman - she really nailed the wail in this one...not Dance DVD level, but it sounded better than the '03-'04 versions.
Oh Well - I LOVED this song - it almost made the entire show for me. He nailed it. His vocals, the guitar work, Mick's drumming, John's bass....all incredible. This must remain in any Fleetwood Mac concert going forward.
I'm So Afraid - this was arranged differently, plus it seemed a bit messed up in the beginning. I think Mick started drumming the intro to Stand Back, Lindsey shot a look, and then all went silent for 5 seconds. Next thing we go into this softer quieter version of ISA. I'm fairly certain this was the same arrangement as LB's solo tour. His guitar solo was out of control. Standing ovation.
Stand Back - no drum intro, just a rollicking version. Also, the false ending where the song starts back up and then winds down (I think this has been done on Stevie's solo tours in the late 80's early 90's and then on her most recent tours)....it was great
Go Your Own Way - It too, along with ISA and Tusk, were arranged verrry similarly to Lindsey's recent solo tours. I'm not sure what I think about this yet. The solo was awesome but I am not positive what I think of the verses done this way. It is a subtle change but it's noticeable.
World Turning - Mick stayed behind the drums for his solo. Okay, who wasn't crossing their fingers to hear the opening chords of Sisters of the Moon at this point? Of course, it was not meant to be. World Turning is an odd choice for the first encore but it gets Mick his solo time and apparently it works.
Don't Stop - Okay, Stevie is still changing words. Eh...I'd rather they drop this altogether in favor of another Chris song - but I guess this song has achieved a status that it will always be played.
Silver Springs - this did surprise me. Not that it was played at all, but that it was the final encore. I saw and heard glimpses of the Dance version in tonight's performance. I would rank what I heard above the SYW arrangement/performance, but below the Dance Tour.
Other notes:
**Love the annoying man behind me who announced that about 90% of the songs were on the "'76 album...from back in 1976." After he said "Big Love" was from '76 I almost turned around and punched him. They left during the end of the solo of "Go YOur Own Way" to "beat the traffic." He also felt the need to say "Go Pens (Penguins)" about every 10 seconds until midway through Gypsy his wife told him to shut the **** up!
**I didn't see very many, if any, empty seats. The city was packed, traffic was backed up all over the place beforehand, and the Arena was rocking. Nice crowd, very energetic.
**Stevie at 60 looks amazing. I'd like to find a girl who is 28 that looks as good as she does. I'm not sure what she has done since the last Mac outing, but she looks years younger.
**Okay, I'm disappointed that no SOTM, or the continued lack of representation of the MIrage and Tango in the Night albums. I was really hoping for something else off of Tango now. Either the title track itself, or Little Lies, or Seven Wonders. Plus, I really really really thought that Hold Me would be a possibility as a "Christine song".....oh well, maybe next time!!
That's all I have for now..I'm sure I'll think of more. Really hope someone taped tonight's show!!

your so welcome, i feel bad the pics arent that great. I dont have any pics from any FM tour so I really wanted some good ones tonight. I was going to make a collage of the photos from the show with all of my concert stubs. Oh well.
Oh so listen to this, at the end of the show I asked the guy from the crew to give me a guitar pick and he throws it to me and it bounces off my hand and lands on a speaker and some dude grabbed it and took it. I yelled to the crew guy to throw me another one but he didnt throw that one far enough and it landed by the microphone. I asked the security guy if I could step on his chair to get it but he wouldnt let me. What a jerkoff. I just wanted the damm pick and then I would have been gone. Oh well.

They are the best! His singing was top notch too. "THUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDERRRRRRRRR ONLY HAPPPPPPNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNS".....of course, he carried those words out so long that as he finished saying "happens" Stevie, along with the rest of the Arena, were singing "players only love you."
He also compared Lindsey's guitar work after ISA to Jimmy Page and felt obligated to yell out freaking "FREEBIRD!" before Monday Morning started. Seriously, this guy was like having the quintiscential concert idiot behind me, including the ever so cliched yelling out of Freebird when it was quiet.

I have to be honest with you, he didn't even sound drunk! He was just a complete idiot. In fact, I would dare say that he was stone cold sober!
I was making comments like "I wish you would go back to 1976" or "It's SONGbird not FREEbird...wrong band dumbas$" or "They didn't have an album in 1976" or "Let's go Sabres!" in response to his "GO PENS!" comment (have to show my Buffalo pride when on enemy turf).
His wife may have heard me, their conversation went something like:
Idiot: YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHH 1976 - this is 1970 friggin 6! Love IT!
Wife: Would you shut up everyone thinks you sound stupid!
Idiot: Who cares?
Wife: I do, now shut the f*** up!
Idiot: I love you honey!
Wife: *repulsed grunt*
It was pretty amusing. And I will give him props for being pumped and excited at the concert. He was a fan, just a stupid one!

THAT'S the whole setlist? Shorter than last time? And this is opening night, too.. some of the songs might be dropped next show.
What a rip! LAME (and my expectations were very low)
There was NOTHING lame about the show. You can't judge a book by the cover and there is no possible way you can judge the show by a setlist. The thousands of people in the crowd will agree, because they gave ovation after ovation for performance, not for reputation.
It was amazing and the band was so well-prepared for the show and the tour. They were firing on all cylinders.
And if your expectations are so low that you're not going to see it, well I wish I could explain in words that would change your mind.
I'd go see the show again in 10 minutes if I could.

The only lame aspect of the show was stevie's lethargic performance. The band was great as usual but she brought the pace of the show down every time. Did you really think stevie performed well tonight? She couldn't even remember the words to most of her own songs.

Hey, y'all!
Just got home and read all 30 pages of your FREAKING OFF TOPIC BANTER OMG what is wrong with everyone? Focus, people. FOCUS.
I knew the setlist before the show started, because DavidMN is tall and could see the one taped to the floor by Lindsey's mic, so I made him read it to me, BUT I wanted to wait and make sure and text it as it happened, in case they actually did do something spontaneous (har har har, now who's the silly dreamer? Oh irony, you slay me thusly.)
All in all, I thought the show was great.
After thinking back on it, for ISA, the arrangement sounded more like it does when Lindsey does it solo, BUT the mix was also off or something, because it still didn't sound quite...right.
Tusk also sounded more like it does when Lindsey does it solo. No shadow boxing, mild running around from Lindsey.
There was virtually no interaction between Stevie & Lindsey, not even during Silver Springs, which kind of surprised me. Lindsey looked over at Stevie briefly during the time they'd usually turn to each other and start shouting, but she didn't look his way at all that I noticed. Security only let the first two rows up to the stage, but my 3rd row seat was right smack between both of their mics so I could see them both at the same time, and they barely looked at each other for the whole show.
The ONE exception we noticed to the interaction thing was during Storms, which really was beautiful. Stevie looked absolutely petrified to be singing it, just really nervous, and some time after the first verse, she shot an "omg!" kind of look at Lindsey, and he shot a big dopey grin back at her. She smiled back a little and it seemed to boost her confidence. She did all the "not all of the prayers" and she sang those as strongly as she sang the rest of the lyrics. She really belted out a few lines here and there, also. Really strong, despite her nervousness - I was over the moon about it. The whole concert was good fun, of course, but I did feel very fortunate to have been among the audience to see that done live on stage for the first time in the history of ever (oh snap), and it was worth the ticket price for that alone.
Sara sounded FANTASTIC. Much better than it sounded on the Soundstage - much much better. Oh Well rocked, and it was only part 1 - none of the meandering instrumental part 2 stuff. I also really enjoyed GI with the full band like that. It was much more like the original, but not too drenched in 80s.
As for WT and Mick's solo - he did do one, but he did it from behind the kit. When they came back out for the encores, I could see goofy cables hanging off of him, so I thought he had the vest on, but he didn't leave his spot behind the kit. He did the "ARE YA WITH ME?"s and the mumbling and all that, but where he would've previously hopped around spitting on the front rows, he remained seated, and instead of the car horn noises or whatever those are, we got a kinda trippy mixing of Lindsey & Stevie vocals singing bits and parts of the words "World Turning" in rapid succession. I can't describe it properly because I am dead tired ovah heah, but it was interesting. I think he may have had the vest on back there and was flailing at it to make those vocals.
Lindsey was in fine form and energetic. Stevie just looked really nervous a lot of the time, and either they really were having sound issues, or they just decided to turn Stevie's mic way down, because her vocals were pretty quiet from where I was standing. It did not come across to me as her being lethargic or not into it, but rather nervousness mixed with something perhaps being up with her mic.
The burgundy dress she wore for the beginning of the show was stunning, and the silver spangly shirt/waist-cincher thingie she popped on over top of the black dress for Silver Springs was really pretty, too. And no Frankenboks, can I get an amen, brothers and sisters? Lindsey's bright red shirt looked very sharp on him, and I've always noted that in videos, he appears to have big feet, but now having seen him up close and in person for the first time, my lawd, the man has like, schooners attached to his ankles. Amazing.
Sharon did not screech for once, and I've never thought of Jana as the screecher, so I dunno what y'all are talking about, but Sharon did have a tiny wasp waist that I was momentarily jealous of. Neale and Brett were there, and Mick had an assistant hiding behind a pile of equipment whose name I did not catch, but if there was anyone else up there, they were hiding entirely and also not making any discernable sound. No Carlos, no Taku, etc.
The stage was pretty simple, with different colored lights and groovy spirals and junk on some screens. During SHN, they had some newspapers flying by real fast on the screens - I love it when things get so literal.
If there was a tourbook, I did NOT see one, which frustrated me to no end, as that is the only thing I wanted to buy.
And I think that's all I remember right now that's of note. I did not get any pics because I was busy being enraptured and also texting stuff to you pack of jackals, so hopefully some of the others have tons of pics to share.
Oh yeah, and there were some monumentally drunk women that started out in the row behind me and made their way up front at some point to wiggle and wave at Lindsey and offer him beer. Before the show started, I got to listen to how hawwwwwwt Lindsey is (like we don't know? Good grief) for exactly eternity + 31 minutes out of those two, so I think they thought they would make good groupies or something.
He made a comment about it into the mic, to the effect of, "Oh, you want to give me a cold one?" but he didn't look overly enthused. Yes, ladies, what the Great LB really wants is that warm beer in a plastic cup that you've been sloshing around for the better part of two hours now and may or may not have spit and/or slipped a roofie into. That might go over better at a Poison show, though. Try harder/better next time. ;)
(*cue enraged Ledgie posting to tell me she was the one with the beer and Lindsey would so totally have taken it and is obviously now in love with her except he couldn't act on his feelings/thirst because Stevie would put the boots to him, medium-style* wocka-wocka-wocka)
Also, ALSO, if I had been one of the purchasers of the ILAA packages for tonight, I would've been highly annoyed.
Wow, I talk a lot.

I thought that Mick had on electronics under his vest, because he sure looked padded, but I didn't hear it. So, you heard Stevie's digital voice during that World Turning synthesizer part? I didn't notice that she was in there too. I'll have to listen for it. I just heard Lindsey.

Thanks so much for your insights. I wonder what was up with L&S? She was probably just nervous and sound issues always piss her off. Honestly, I'm glad I"m seeing them in April. There are so many potential "issues" opening night, I'd much rather see them when everything is ironed out and they're in their groove.
And yes, we did all get a bit off track last night!!

Thanks SOOO much for your awesome review, and can't wait to see your pictures!!!

what did the stage look like?
Steviefan49
03-02-2009, 10:35 AM
Try harder/better next time. ;)

You'd think from the reactions re: no Sisters of the Moon from people here that it was promised to us, or even implied that it would be performed.
Yeah, it would be great to hear it. I'd fall flat on my ass in excitement were that to happen.
But why are people disappointed? It's pretty much a given that that song is not going to be done.

Hey Sandy..
Boy, I couldn't have said that better, as you put down in words what I was thinking too! Plus, I still think there may be a "tad" of left over anger there between Stevie and Lindsey somehow... as it tends to come across with Stevie.. (just my own guess there) ? I keep remembering the making of the SYW dvd that we all watched - and how Stevie and Karen kept fighting with Lindsey - and that's always in the back of my mind.. I hope between performing more shows, and actually getting out there in front of us fans, that hopefully, all of the details get ironed out, and things get better..;)

Yeah its tough coming down from a FM concert. They are by far my favorite band in the world and I love all of their songs so when i see them live I am so elated that afterwards its tough to go back to the normalness of life, HA! I know in a week or so it will go away but now I really wanna go to another show. You are so right about the memories though. I have the best memories from every Stevie/FM/Lindsey shows and I cant wait to have more in the future. You are so welcome again and I just wish that all of you could have been there last night with me!
On a side note ,I got a job offer today from Pitt so I think in a few more weeks I wont be unemployed anymore. The guy from Pitt offered me the job today on the phone but said that HR would send the offer over to me. I interviewed with them almost 2 months ago now and never heard anything so a few weeks ago I emailed the lady that is in charge of the dept there and told her how much I wanted the job and I know I could do a good job for them and then I get the offer. I am so glad that I send that email. I wonder if they would have called me otherwise! It will be so nice to have money again and to pay for last nights tickets ;)

hey sleepless child, that is cool that you were behind me. I am glad you werent beside me because I kept screaming into the one guys ear and hitting into him, HA! I had my ear plugs in though so I didnt realize I was screaming as loud as I was. Thats cool you saw me with the guitar. I was hesitant at first because I wasnt sure if I was allowed to touch it. The was probably over in less than 5 seconds but it was the best part of the show for me.
Oh yeah I remember the guy with the little girl, I saw him up there a few times. I am glad Stevie got those flowers as well. I was thinking though that little girl should have had ear plugs in though. Yeah I really did miss the Stevie/Lindsey interaction but Lindsey is just amazing. I dont know he doesnt have carpal tunnel by now.

Here are some things I noticed at last night's concert. Big crowd. Everyone was really enthusiastic. Lindsey was on fire. I'm the biggest Stevie fan but he really knows how to play to a crowd. They both looked and sounded great. Lindsey's voice sounded better than ever. No straining on the high notes like in the past. Stevie was having some kind of problem early on in the show. She was pointing to someone and then went over to John and whispered in his ear. A few songs later, she came out to sing and said better and did a thumps up. My husband swears Stevie was drunk, but I think it was nerves and a sound problem. She dedicated Landslide to Frances and her dad. Frances worked for her dad and lives in Pittsburgh. She's always dedicated Landslide to her when she sings it in Pittsburgh. Lindsey was great with the crowd. Talking and interacting. There was very little of that between L & S. The tour seemed more pared down and not as big as SYW. I really enjoyed the show and loved Oh Well, Storms and Silver Springs as the ending, but I think the showmanship was better during the 2003 tour. If those two are getting along better, you couldn't tell last night.

Steviefan49, thank you so much for the nice wishes. I am so glad that things are starting to look up for me. I had a stretch of 3 months there from sep-nov where things were really bad and I remember thinking at the time that I dont think I can deal with anything else. You know how things can get so overwhelming and you dont think it will ever get any better and then when things start going your way again you really make sure to appreciate it because you dont know how long its going to last. I just cant wait to have some money again and be able to pay off my credit card bills and stuff. I was very fortunate though to be able to collect unemployment or I wouldnt have been able to pay my mortgage.
Yeah I will keep you all updated on the job and stuff in the chit chat forum.

Not only do they match? They came out arm in arm!!!!:shocked:
And Mic's Shoes matched!!!!
Also, The I'm So Afraid thing was Mic messing up... he started to play Stand Back first!
Okay, Sorry, but I need to rant.

If I hear one more whining Stevie fangirl complaining about Sisters of the Moon, I will explode. I think that everyone would sell their souls to get that song! Get over it! I am not complaining about what songs Lindsey should have played (Think Walk a Thin Line, or Save Me a Place).
Sorry about that. No, really, I am. I just have heard so much about that song I couldn't hold it in any longer.

Sorry about that. No, really, I am. I just have heard so much about that song I couldn't hold it in any longer.
Amen, got over it. I have! And Save Me A Place would be frickin heaven for me, it could so replace Big Love aka Big Bore

I thought that Mick had on electronics under his vest, because he sure looked padded, but I didn't hear it. So, you heard Stevie's digital voice during that World Turning synthesizer part? I didn't notice that she was in there too. I'll have to listen for it. I just heard Lindsey.
Did your little girl cry when you didn't take her to the concert this time? She'll be old enough next time around.
Michele
I definitely heard Stevie's digital voice in there, but it's kind of funny - when I read your review, you seemed to hear different things than I did throughout much of the show. I wonder if it was because I was so close to the stage or what. Where were you sitting, if you don't mind my asking?
And yeah, she cried. :( I told her that next time I go to see Stevie or the Mac, I will take her because she will be big enough, and that placated her a little bit.
Haha - I was just messin' - the off-topic was fun to read. I do think that it had a lot to do with Stevie being nervous. She looked really freaked out and I imagine the sound issues did not help, yeah.
That said, and I forgot to mention it in the big write-up, but her Stand Back twirls were laaaaaaaaazy. Really lazy. I saw her spin like a dervish twice last year, so wtf, Stevie?
It really was an excellent show and it was so nice to meet you. Thanks for coming over and saying hi. Its funny my hubby and I got there and I just sat down in my seat and forgot to go look at merchandise and stuff. I heard the shirts were pricey.
It was nice to meet you, too! And the shirts were like 40 freakin' bucks. Madness.
Thanks for your full review Zombie. Most of all, thanks for texting me the info. :xoxo:
Any time, cookie. :xoxo:
Hey Zombie..
Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for keeping "us" group of jackals informed last night! LMAOO You and Paula ROCKED SOOOOOOOOOOO much for that, and I can't thank you both enough! We had a BLAST on here last night!! I almost felt your energy through Paula keeping us posted on what's going on, "blow by blow"- (No pun intended of course- toward the girls behind you regarding LB) LOLOLOLOLOLOL- It sounds like YOU had a blast as well... And thanks SOOO much again!
Hugs,
Arlene
Ewwww, blow by blow. Haha. You are welcome, and if I'd been the one at home, I'd have wanted someone else to do the same thing, so it's all good.
Here's hoping they step it up a little more for the rest of the dates now that they got the first one out of the way. :blob2:

I was in row B, to your left. One thing that you said clarified things for me. I thought Lindsey was asking the audience if it was cool enough in the arena for them. When he said, "are they keeping it nice and cool" I thought he meant the temperature in the room, but from what you witnessed, he was asking the girls if they were keeping the beer cool:laugh:. Context is everything.

hey michelle, from what I heard Lindsey say is that somebody asked him about being hot or something like that cuz he was sweating and then he asked are they keeping you nice and cool on the ice down there and I dont remember what the response was to that but I remember laughing because it wasnt cool, it was freaking hot, HA! Unless he was asking the girls if there beer was on ice, LOL!

Oh, he's just dripping with sweat, five minutes into the show. I bet he could eat 3 steaks a day and not gain a pound when he's on tour. Michele

I know, I was thinking who sweats like that?! You are right though, he can eat whatever he wants on tour. He is so darn thin I wonder if he eats much at all.

I was pretty much right behind the chicks trying to offer him the beer, so I do know that when the comment about the ice/cold was made, it was to them, at least partly in reference to the beer.
The man does sweat like crazy, haha. I noticed that. I suppose I would sweat if I were made of that much awesome, too. All the excess awesome has to go somewhere - the pores seem to be as efficient a disposal method as any.

A LIKELY STORY.
Naw, I'd have fawned all over him, myself, if those chickies hadn't beaten me to it. I don't like to look like a follower, yanno. I go my own way. Or something.
