In a recent interview Stevie was asked if she could believe she'd still be singing in a rock band after all these years:

"When I joined Fleetwood Mac, I was 28. I went on one tour with just my normal street clothes. I just threw my stuff in my suitcase and we left on like a three-month long thing. We went to El-Paso, Texas to do a show. And I tried to put on a dress but unbeknownst to me I had gained five pounds. So the dress didn't fit. I was screaming and then sat down and started to draw an outfit. And I said to myself, I'm going to have a uniform. My uniform is going to be such that I can wear it at 28 and I can still wear it at 60. Same skirt, same little top, same platform boots and little jacket, and that's going to be it. And I'm still going to be able to wear this at 60. And unless I weigh 300 pounds, I'll still be wearing this into my 60's."

Her numbers are a bit off .She was 26 when she joined Fleetwood Mac 28 when Rumours was relased.

But she says that she wrote Landslide when she was 28... Right? Landslide came out on the, Fleetwood Mac (self-titled) album. So she was like 26. How does that make sense? Interesting.

Either that or she's been lying about her age all these years...

They're certainly not the words of Einstein, and I did have to read it twice, but the statement still makes sense: i.e., she is going to be able to wear it now, as well as in the coming years (unless the arm curls don't pay off).

I know when I first read it I thought "didn't she just say the same thing twice?", but upon closer inspection I saw that there was some semblance of a point there. Just not all that articulately made. Shocking, but true ;)

I'm sure you probably realise this by the way. I just wasn't 100% sure if your IQ trauma was because you'd misunderstood it as I first did, or purely because her point was so poorly made.

Oh dear. I've analysed this far too much. It's almost 1am. Yes, that's what it is. :o

Either that or she's been lying about her age all these years...

Well, that would explain the recent article that stated she was 62...

It's very simple just do the math .She was born on May 26 1948 ..she joined FM New Years 1975 and wrote Landslide and Rhiannon in Aspen in the fall of 1974 making her 26 then.
