Last week I went to (ex Supertramp) Roger Hodgson concert. He was very nice, talked a lot to the people, told us he went to Machu Picchu, cool place, cool people, etc.
He also told us to ask him songs, and people asked for the usual hits (School, Logical Song, Dreamer, etc). One silly guy asked for Bloody Well Right, well he actually ignored that song was Richard's, the other Supertramp singer. He explained they splitted long ago.

Since I was at first row (and I pay far less than us$200 he hee listen Fleetwood Mac) , I shouted FOOL'S OVERTURE !!!! and he smiled and said AAAHHH.. and looked at me like "you know that song.." cause that wasn't a big hit but a very beautiful old song .

He played other songs and almost at the end of the show he looked at me and said Let's play a song one of the fans asked for. And he played Fool's Overture very cool. When finishing he looked at me like saying "How was it?" and of course I stood up and lot of applauses!!!

I know several ledgies have been on first rows on Mac show. If I felt good with this Hodgson episode, I can imagine I would be far more excited if Stevie just smiles at me during a show. Sure you ledgies may have cool stories!!

I love your story, Roger Hodgson sounds like a class act. I love when you go see a band and they ask what you want to hear. That is awesome. I saw Filter at a small club last year and they gave the one guy in the front the set list and told him to call out the order of the songs as he wanted to hear them. I thought that was a really cool idea. The best part was that the place wasnt packed at all and the lead singer thanked us numerous times for supporting their band and they put on one hell of a show. My ears are still ringing from that show and it was last year, LOL!
As far as FM/Stevie goes my hubby and I went to FM in Toronto in 2003 and we were in 2nd row and saw Lindsey was signing some stuff and I ran right up there and he signed my concert ticket. That was awesome since I wasnt expecting it and it just made my night. I remember during one of the songs Lindsey was singing that he looked at me and gave me this stare that was kinda freaky. It was just so intense that I didnt know what to do with myself but look away after a bit. I dont know why it freaked me out so much but it was too cool.
The last time I saw Stevie was in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio in 2005. I remember that there was alot of really crazy family issues going on at the time and I was so sad and depressed over the situation and then on top of that I just got laid off of my job. So my hubby thought a trip to see Stevie would cheer me up. He let me buy front row seats on ebay for $400 and I remember that once the concert started that all of the sadness I was feeling was immediately gone. At the end of the show Stevie came to the stage and shook my hand and my husbands. I remember leaving that show feeling so optimistic about life and knowing that it was ok to be happy again. I will never forget that.
Tomorrow I am going to see FM and my hubby and I got front row the other day so I cant wait. I really want to play Lindsey's guitar but I am not going to expect anything and if something happens then it will be all that more special.
What show are you going to?
