Hey everyone, I just checked my receipt for the DVD from warner bros. and it says in process and it also has the lithograph listed too. Hopefully this will be shipping sooner than they though.

When you say "receipt," what do you mean? The page that comes up immediately when you pay, the e-mail receipt sent right after payment is made, or something else? I'm hoping it's something else for you to get an "in process" status.

Do you get a confirmation email from Warner after the payment went through or irght away?

Yes I received an email conformation from the warner bros. site, and it had a link in it to check on your order.

I'm asking because I noticed this on my emailed receipt the day I ordered:

If you have purchased physical goods with a credit card please note that we don't charge your account for the price of those goods until your items have been shipped from our warehouse. In addition, when your order ships we will send you an e-mail to let you know that your order is on its way.

So I was wondering if you'd received a new email, saying they were shipping and then that's when you saw the lithograph listed for the first time. I got concerned when the DVD/CD was the only item listed on my receipt, and now I'm thinking I may have ordered too late to have made the "handful." If that's the case, then I'm pissed. Warner duped me again, making me order something under false pretenses (autographed copy of GOS and now this).

It's the email confirmation from Warner after you order. Just checked mine and it too says with Lithograph...

To be honest... What the hell is a lithograph?

Livia

I also ordered Friday. I stopped the habit of turning on my home computer as soon as I get home from work, otherwise I would have seen it Thu night. Sounds like it's time to end the promotion.

There is a link in the original email I got on 2/19 when I placed the order that takes you to the warner bros. site and shows you your receipt. Below is what it shows:

Status Description Qty. Price Each Total

In Process The Soundstage Sessions: Live in Chicago
Stevie Nicks CD/DVD 1 $29.99 $29.99

In Process Stevie Nick's Signed Lithograph
Stevie Nicks N/A 1

It's not listed on the receipt you get from Warners you have to click the link provided within the emailed receipt - where it says to "check your order". There you will see that your order contains the lithograph.

Mine does not show the lithograph, but one has no way of knowing whether or not they made the "handful" until they've already clicked "Pay" or whatever that button was...bull****.

WTF?! I just went back to the NicksFix and clicked the WB link - now the lithograph IS on the main order page - you click it if you want it and it says it's free. Interesting that the default number of DVD/CDs is TWO, for a subtotal of $59.98.

The Nicksfix also sent out an email about the promotion (if you signed up for email alerts on her site) and i just checked, and i received the email on Friday night at 5:30, and i placed the order on Friday night at 8:30, so i don't know why they would "end" the promotion only 3 hours later...i might use the link in the confirmation email to ask Warner for some clarification.

When you click through to the warner site from your emailed receipt - to see your order status - if you click the link up top to "continue shopping" you'll see Stevie's DVD/CD at the top of the page. If you add it to your cart as if you are ordering.... the lithograph is also added to your order. So it would appear they still have some.

I took a snapshot.

Yea, it does the same thing when you click the pre-order link on the Nicksfix...this is so confusing!

*EDIT*: Wait a sec...it says "Stevie Nick's Un-Signed Lithograph", so maybe they'll still send people who order it now the lithograph, but without her signature.

That's not what I'm talking about...there was NO lithograph listed AT ALL, no pic of Stevie in the background, not so many colors, etc. I just emailed them that had I known a free unsigned lithograph would be available 4 days after I placed my order, I would have waited. Ok, I just placed my order and am pissed about the un-signed thing. Damn, what is a "handfull" ? I did not order right away, because I thought it was just a printed sig like we got with that card that came with CV I think. Plus I forgot because I don't check the NicksFix every day anymore.

Damn.

It would have been so cool to have a real sig. Oh well.
I know we all can not expect her to sign like 500 or more, but come on, it can be done over time and ****, this is a pre-order from her site from dedicated fans.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Edit: It is a damn shame that in order to get a signed litho, it appears you would have needed to order within a day of the start of the sale. What a crock. I only hope that for now it says un-signed because they ran out and maybe Stevie will sign some more, but who knows. I am really glad though for those fans lucky enough to get a signed one.

Of course you can order it directly through the Nicks Fix, but I thought it was interesting.

Well I just checked my order and figured I didn't order in time to get the signed litho (ordered on Sunday) but mine didn't list the litho at all.......... so I called and they cancelled out my order and I re-placed a new order that now says I am getting the litho--unsigned of course  So you may want to check your order to make sure because she said she didn't think I was going to get one unless I replaced the order and she couldn't just add it to my order I had to re do it.......... for all of the trouble it had better be different than the one that came with the Crystal Visions set!!!!

And as for what a litho is--isn't usually a print of a drawing???

Before I say what I'm about to say I just want everyone to know it's not meant to be critical, but more to satisfy my curiosity about the excitement and in some cases disappointment over the signed lithograph.

For me, I don't really understand what the big appeal is to have something Stevie (or anyone) wrote their name on. I personally would never buy an autograph, even if I was positive it was legitimate because I think the thrill is in meeting the person, perhaps having your photo taken with them and having them sign something specifically to you. I once had a neighbor who happened to be eating dinner at the same restaurant as Stevie when she was in my town on tour. He got her autograph on a napkin and offered to give it to me. While I was PO'ed that he was lucky enough to meet her, and wasn't even really a fan, I had no desire to have an autograph that I didn't get myself. Again, that's just how I feel about it.

So for those of you who are excited to receive this, or those who won't be :sorry: what is it that excites you about this? Is it just because Stevie touched it, and in a way it will make you feel close to her? Or is it more a feeling of having something "collectible" like a signed piece of art?

For me, it's the part I bolded. I'm a MAJOR collector of all things Mac. Even when I do meet celebs in person, I would much rather have a photo with them than ask them to prove to me that they know how to write their own name. :p

What I'm angry about in this instance, is the misleading, conniving way that Warner Bros. extorted the diehard fans - yet again. Fan Club Fiasco of 2003?? Anyone??

Here's how the pre-order offer should have been written:

Stevie's epic Soundstage Sessions concert in Chicago!
The DVD features over 2 hours of stunning footage from this legendary concert! The CD includes brand new studio versions of classics like "Stand Back", "Sara", "Landslide" and MANY, MANY MORE! Order by March 31, 2009 and receive a free lithograph (one per order); the first (exact number) to order this STEVIE NICKS LIMITED EDITION CD/DVD SET will receive a lithograph personally signed by Stevie Nicks! Had it read that way to begin with, I'd have no reason to bitch.

Yes, but the point I'm really trying to make here is that they should have let everyone know from the very beginning that "a" lithograph would definitely be included with each order - signed or unsigned, depending on when your order was received.

Yes, I agree they should have written it that way, at least they should have indicated on the order form, prior to submission, whether your order would include the litho. The Nicks Fix should also remove that part, but that might mean less orders, so it will probably be up there until the release day.

I placed my order at 6pm Eastern time Friday night which was about 25 minutes from when I got the Warner Brothers e-mail. My order says unsigned lighograph. (It must have been updated recently because I checked at 2:30 and there was no mention of a lithograph at that time.) I don't check this forum everyday (I guess I should) so I guess I was a day too late but I figured that if I ordered with in the first 1/2 hr I would be pretty sure to get a signed lithograph. Warner Brothers should have taken that off their e-mail if they were all gone. I guess that is what gets orders though. I think a number as to how may signed lithographs would have been nice. The 1st 5 or 50 would have given people more of an idea on if they had a shot at it or not. I am happy that at least I get a lithograph. It would be more fun to try to get it signed myself anyway.

Yeah, okay, I'm disappointed here. I ordered within 24 hours of that announcement going up on the NicksFix and my order details say "unsigned" lithograph.

I am also a major collector, so I was looking forward to having a new signed piece that wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg. Totally disappointed. Sigh.

PS - I noticed last night that another Warner artist I am a big fan of, Mastodon, is promoting their new CD in a limited edition the same way, with the same wording. The first "handful" to order will get a signed lithograph.

Firt off I'd like to say I didn't order the set (for reasons I can't say ;)) but I think what they are doing is borderline illegal. They should have to specify how many were signed. At the very least they should have had a program on their website that took orders until all "signed" lithographs were exhausted. And then of course you could have decided whether or not you wanted to order the set with the unsigned litho. Gambling is illegal, right?

I have a few of the "artwork postcards" from CV, they really weren't that special. What was funny about it though, was that the Stevie artwork postcards were going for more money on Ebay than what the CV set cost from WB's store. Collectors, what a silly bunch we are. I'm up to my eyeballs in this stuff.

Not telling anyone what to do, but you could teach them a lesson by canceling your order. Just an idea.

I ordered mine on the Friday, as well. No signed lithograph for me. Sigh. I'm going to write back and say, "So you didn't know how many you had before you started offering it for sale? Nice."

WOW...500 orders in 24 hours is alot! Yea, i would say the first 100 including the personally signed lithograph is fair, but they should have specified that number on the fix to begin with.

to answer PaleShadow's question:
For me, it wasn't having a 'personally signed' copy of the lithograph, it was having the actual lithograph. So, I'm satisfied. My order status says 'unsigned lithograph' and while that perhaps would have been even nicer, it was the actual litho i wanted. Not sure why, but I have always collected promo posters for every solo Stevie album; they are all framed, but haven't been displayed for years- the framed posters are all in a closet, and i wanted to add the new lithograph to the collection. It may even stay out in a room for a little while before i put it with the others. (My favorites, i think, are the 'Wild Heart' blue-tinted 1930's looking (to me) poster, The 'Rock A Little' 24x36 (back photo of the RAL album) and 'TISL' legs-folded 'stained-glass lithograph'-- i'm less fond of the 18x24 TISL poster thats the same as the cd cover. I'm curious what this new one will look like.
With so fewer 'record stores' around now than were in 2000, when i'd often be able to slip the underpaid clerks a $10 or $20 to get promo posters,i figured this Warner store offer was the best way to make sure i got one. (I do think the Warner store should add a 2nd free lithograph with the first to make up for it being unsigned, but won't even bother suggesting it to them). I ordered within 24 hours of seeing the offer, but i guess i just didn't see it fast enough! Oh well! And 100 that she signed is considerably more than 'a handful'-- so, to those who got them, enjoy it. The litho's enough for me (he says yet again, to convince himself! :)

I got a reply from Warner to my email complaining:

<i>"We apologize, this product was available on www.nicksfix.com starting on 2/19/09. Within 24 hours we received over 500 orders and we have since found out that only the first 100 will be receiving the autographed version of the lithograph.

They should have limited the purchase of them, say 1 to a customer or no more than 2 or 3 or something but you know it's all about the $$$$$ with these corporations.

I do too.. I know I ordered mine about 6:00 pm on that Friday, the 20th, and was told that I wasn't included in the first 100 orders.. so no signed lithograph! What a farce!

100 is definitely reasonable, I just wish they'd said that up front. Many of us ordered before they even finished putting the actual order page together, lol, and we still missed out. Sigh.
