Chris and Chris

Tango just posted a Chris Isaak interview in the Stevie Nicks thread, which mentions Christine.

Can you imagine just bumping into Christine and then having her be your tour guide in Paris?? Oh, I'd love to have her riff on Napoleon for me or give me her personal take on the Eiffel Tower, not to mention the best shopping districts.

Hey, why daydream about meeting her in London when it can happen in Paree?

Isaak already was familiar with the "genuine" musicians from Fleetwood Mac. When he first went to Paris years ago, he bumped into Fleetwood's Christine McVie. She asked how he liked Paris. He said he had been too busy to check it out. "She says, 'Get in the car.'

"I got in the backseat of a limo with Christine McVie. We drove all over Paris. And she'd roll down the window and say, 'That's the such-and-such cathedral.' And she just showed me all the sights."
"

Woah! That had to be awesome. I'm sure, too, that Christine thought Chris Isaak was a "sight" to see in his own right. (Don't we all?)

I know Isaak has been a long-time chum of Stevie's--and that's cool. But I've often dreamed how great it would be for Chris and Christine to harmonize together. I think their voices would complement one another beautifully.
