I managed to find a sealed promo copy of the Lp on ebay complete with original stickers. I wonder if many of these exist. I won't be opening it anytime soon.

Is it the gatefold or regular sleeve? I see it says "The Beginning" which means it's the 1977 or '78 re-issue of the album.

Actually this is the single fold re-issue from 1981 when Bella Donna hit the charts in a big way. Polydor was trying to cash in on Stevie's solo success...
I have the Buckingham Nicks LP, its a nice sounding copy (which I actually play)
its a UK issue, and definitly a re-issue becasue it has a label on it saying "The legendary Lyndsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks album, now members of Fleetwood mac."
I think the re-issue is from 1976 after the release of the "fleetwood mac" white album.
I don't care that its not original, but I do wish I had the gatefold/stickers if such things exist

If this album was re-released twice by Polydor in 1976 and in 1981, when did SnL acquire the rights to it? According to both of them, they own it jointly...

I think they bought it in the late 80's or very early 90's, when Polydor was near death's door and they needed all the cash they could get.

I have a copy of the original gatefold I got for $11 at a record fair in the late 80's. At the time I thought $11 was an awful lot of money. LOL!!!

My friend and I have the original and it sounds so beautiful, and we're a little below average on the collecting of FM related material (in skill) .. so if we can find it, I'm pretty sure it isn't that hard to find.
But what do I know? (seriously...)
I'm just extremely happy that Buckingham Nicks has made its way onto the internet for download so people can enjoy it in their cars or on their ipods.. I'd love them to release it again (on CD this time) and promote it. Lindsey has mentioned it before in the not too distant past, so you never know.
