Speaking of "Wild Heart", it has been covered by a band called Abe Vigoda. It is the SOTW at http://www.fmlegacy.com/main.html. The lead singer said this:
"My roommate Matthew showed me this candid video of Stevie Nicks singing the song backstage. It is her and her back up singers singing along to this really simplified demo version. It really struck me. The version on Reviver is a loose take on this strange and beautiful you tube video. I have really been obsessing over stevie’s lyrics, her image, for over a year now. "

I think the guy second from the left is the lead singer.

I downloaded it. I think it's absolutely TERRIBLE. His voice sucks, totally not Stevie-worthy. When it's taken down, I have a Mediafire link too.

Wellll.... what is there to say about this tune? Nothing positice so, I will keep my mouth shut, lol... At least the younger groups are starting to really take notice of those that came before????

I remember reading on the Nicks Fix in an interview with Lori that they never did Wild Heart again after it was recorded.

Yeah - while it's great that they are into Wild Heart - I think it's the worst cover I've ever heard.

I've been listening to it for the past week and I think it's one of the more interesting covers I've heard. I really like it. From what I've heard they sound like a good band.

Yeah- ouch. Not good. but his comments were nice and the sentiment was sweet. But, wow.

Has anyone hinted why not?

There wasn't anything sinister in it not being done again, but if my memory serves me correctly, I believe Lori said that they did this "balls out" version that we hear on the record and that it would just be too hard of a song to do live, on tour.

Wild Heart have never been done live.
Oh contraire, it was done live before a very small audience. Even filmed no less.

What, the one where Stevie is getting make-up put on and is singing it? I don' think that's what the OP was talking about when asking if it was done live....almost like saying Fireflies was never done live, it really wasn't done in front of a paying crowd. Just friends and crew.
ps: the way you removed words in my quote makes it seem like bad grammar. ;)

Nailatixela, Yep that's the one I'm talking about. I was waiting for someone to post about that. I really like that version though.
Oh and sorry about the grammar (yours)! Just kidding.

Actually, the video of Stevie singing part of WH verses is for the cover shoot to RS for the 81 Sept cover story. I think she was in NY in June??/July ??(81) or something?? Anyone have any clues?? I would guess that they would be shooting months in advance for photo covers. I have most of that video shoot or some of it anyway of what has been leaked out.....I'm sure its gotta be longer. Its interesting thats for sure. Stevie is playing alot of Mirage songs/outtakes in the back ground. Those that have this know what I'm talking about too. I think Smile At You is one of them. Lindseys instrumental is on there....that's when Stevie starts singing to it......Others think this is during BD concert or Mirage concert but its not at a concert. I think even from the WH violet sheet only some of the verses were written in NY the others over a yr later....please correct me if I'm wrong for I am going by memory only right now for I don't have that WH violet in front of me as of the moment.....Thanks
