...right.
(you'll hear the news that they're coming to England "for sure" from a press release or an advertisement paid by the promoter, listing specific information about the show. Touts don't count- don't get your hopes up.)

why would a company put an ad in a national newspaper with many other adds promoting many other acts just to be a tout?
Theyre coming.

I don't know, maybe for the same reason one the largest ticket brokers in the UK recently advertised tickets for sale for a U2 concert date TBD, before earning rebuke from the band's management.
Fleetwood Mac will very likely play dates in the UK sometime in '09, but to suggest that an advertisement by a ticket broker somehow "confirms" it... all I'm saying is, don't get your hopes up too high.

Hi all,
New here.
Just wondering when FM's schedule is open to come to England?
Would it be this summer perhaps?
Just trying to see if I can work with my calendar...
Thanks!

Well, they still seem to be free in late June and anytime thereafter for that matter. When they listed the 29 new dates, I wondered if they would conflict with the Glastonbury rumor and they didn't. Never give up on a miracle.

I'll react again, perhaps same happens as in 2003.
That would be cool, maybe a grand tour though Europe including our Netherlands.

I have to agree with Luke here. Unless it's an official advert by the promoters I don't believe it.
why would a company put an ad in a national newspaper with many other adds promoting many other acts just to be a tout?
Theyre coming.
Touts (or ticket brokers) advertised tickets for that Led Zeppelin O2 concert too, you know the one where it ended up that you had to enter a lottery to get tickets and only were able to buy through official channels? It happens all the time.

ofcourse. I just named two who are totally inactive over here, but were all over the place in 2003.

I would think The O2 would be the ideal venue for the Mac to perform...or Wembley, stadium that is.

Any new news on England?!
I'm standing on my head over here!
I've said this before in another thread
Mick fleetwood was on the BBC's "one show" and he mentioned the tour and "invited" the audience to come along; if we could afford it with the financial trouble (lol)
he wouldn't have said that on british tv if they were not coming would he?
That said i bet they will do like 1 venue and it will be stupidly expensive.

I thought that they do it for music, not for money...
I went to see Mick Fleetwood in St Albans and he gave a long speech at the end of the concert and said the Mac would be back in the UK this year - so lets hope, and I have just seen on another thread Mick has confirmed they will do Storms (in the US) how fantastic - lets hope they do it in the UK too.:blob2:

LOL I'm leaving London on June 22nd, so I'll just miss them for that Festival, but I don't think I'm cut out for festivals anyway.
I probably won't see the band this time around. I just found out Flight of the Conchords are coming to Dallas, and I MUST see them.

Didn't the Mac say that this would be their last tour?
(If it is, then they'd better go to the UK.)

Fleetwood Mac, rain and mud.. umm, its going to be a good summer!:blob2::blob2::blob2:
Annoying. I don't go see mega-artists any more. It's just too much money, and you're so far from the artists. I prefer going to much smaller gigs. I like being able to buy a CD from the artist afterward at their table and be told "Thank you kindly" in that super-polite Texan drawl.
If the Mac come to the UK I have to admit I'm too cheap to pay £100 or whatever it is plus £30 travel costs to see tiny figures on a stage far, far, away.

Hmm.
