I am vowing for the new year to not make comparisons with gifted musicians and just revel in their work.
I still am a big Clapton fan and always have been.
I even like Bob Welch

Well I hope you won't be able to keep your vows - we will miss your comparisons here on The Ledge!
I just saw an interview on television tonight with a brain reseacher. He said that large parts of the brain are sensitive to percieving music. This means you will not be able to hear music without assessing what you hear (this last part is my own interpretation) - so I don't think you will be able to keep your vow - sorry ;)
