Everything a grandma should have been...
A best friend
A soul mate
A shoulder to cry on
Always there to make you laugh
And make things better
I will always love you and I will never forget you. You are truely an amazing person.
~Jessica

Sorry about this.
I had said a prayer for her when you first posted.
I'll say another for her tonight.
You might or might not know this, but my Mom died in July from the complications which resulted from her stroke.
Try to focus on the positive and be grateful for what you still have.
They say it gets better.

and things do get better, but sometimes at a very slow rate. Just take it very easy and try to remain positive...

Thank you all so much. She did live a long wonderful live, and at 94 she had her mind all the way to the end. Until recently she was still wearing make up, jewelry, and wore clothes from juniors departments! She was all about fashion and looking nice. And get this, she wouldn't wear he glasses in public because she was afraid somebody would think she was old! But it was always so funny when she would slip and say "oh ****". I was the only one she told stuff too. She would always be so calm and wouldn't say a thing infront of anybody but me. She would tell my dad and aunt one thing, and then later come to me and told me what really happened. She didn't mind goofing off infront of me or sticking her teeth out at me.
A few years ago, she lost her teeth and couldn't find them anywhere. We went through the trash, looked through the laundry, looked under the furnature, etc...
And my aunt Nancy (dad's sister) called her one evening when I was over there and said she was going to have to take her to Cincinnati to have an impression made and order new teeth. Well my grandma hung up the phone and looked at me with a disgusted look and said "Nancy's coming to get me at 7:30 in the morning!" Stuck her tongue out and said "ehhhhhhhhhhh!" She was so determinded to figure out where those teeth were because she didn't want to have to get up at 5:30 (and yes it really did take her 2 hours to get ready because she had to find just the right outfit, jewelry, and make up to color coordinate, so she could go to Cincinnati and get new dentures!) Later that night she called my dad and she found them in the pocket of her house coat!
I could write a book about all her crazy funny stories! There was not one person that could say a bad thing about my grandma.

I just found this thread --
What a wonderful tribute to your Grandma.
I believe in the spirit world and I am sure she's still around, smiling at you!

I am sorry to hear about your Grandma. May you find peace. I recently lost my German Great Grandmother, and it is hard.... but pain does fade a bit as time goes on.
What a lovely tribute.

Who shall ever tell the sorrow of being on this Earth?
Lying on quilts, on the grass, in the summer evening,
Among the sounds of the night?
May God bless my people,
My uncle, my aunt, my mother,
My good father;
Oh, remember them kindly
In their time of trouble,
And in the hour of their taking away.
