Nope, all venues on this tour... at least in North America. Its a Live Nation thing, and they're promoting 100% of the dates.

Well, that sucks.
Hmmm...mortgage payment/one FM concert. Tough choice;-)

Thanks for the info. I'm going to go, but it probably will just be a maximum of two concerts now. Even though I'm fairly close to about 5.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasnt various artists under the Live Nation umbrella made their shows available ala the "Instant Concert" format for those who wanted an audio souvenir of the show they had attended?

Yes. Some, but not all- and far from a majority. I can pretty much guarantee you that Fleetwood Mac won't be participating, of course.

Blech. Guarantee me the first 5 rows & I'll think about it. No, make that the first 3. If not, I'll take my chances on ticketbastard the week before the show.

How much are those VIP things. There's no way I'd be able to do that, but just wondering.

I'm so excited, except for the fact that now I get to worry about how to get decent tickets!!!:(

They are a lot, from what I remember.
I think the cheapest for the Stevie/Don Henley tour was $300, if I'm not mistaken. Per person?

And I could be wrong on that. I think it went up to $500 (depending on what was offered. Meet and greet, etc. Although I'm not sure Stevie and/or Don was part of that meet and greet at all. I think it was a backstage tour type of thing).

I just remembered. I think for the lower price you were guaranteed seats within the first 20 rows. For the higher, you were guaranted seats within the first 10. But, you never KNEW where you were sitting until shortly before the concert. That was the part that bugged me about the whole deal, the most.

But I do know that I attended two concerts where they had the All Access thing and got really great tickets for each, using just ticketmaster (No Way could I afford All Access). Took a lot of work and looking out for tickets but it can be done.

FWIW, I Love All Access is owned by Irving Azoff, not LiveNation

I'm curious to see the prices for the FM packages. For the current Eagles tour prices for the 5 Star have been $750-$795 and even $1000 in some cities like New York and Boston.

It's sooooo not worth it.

For that price, you have got to promise first row. Also, I need to see where the seat before I buy. If it's just a thing where you find out where you're sitting after the purchase, there's no way I'm going to do it. I'd rather go through a broker.

The release says definitely.
The first 16 dates of the historic "UNLEASHED" tour will include stops in New York, Boston, Washington and Montreal, it was confirmed today by Live Nation, the tour's national promoter (tour dates listed below). Fleetwood Mac, the multi-Grammy (R) award winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will continue the "UNLEASHED" tour throughout the Spring and Summer. Additional dates to be announced shortly.

I am extremly upset about these prices. I really didn't think they would have been over 500. for these VIP tickets. They are starting at 795 for most cities with NYC being the highest at 995. Normally I would have done at least a dozen shows, now I might just hit 2 or 3. There is no way I will pay these prices.

i just checked out the prices for most of the vip tickets packages 5 star pack is $795 and 4 star pack is $395 for get it. will try to get lower ticket prices mohegan sun is one of the high priced shows and there prices have not been shown yet but I am sure its going to be around for the 5 star package at mohegan sun is my guess 5 star pack is $995 and 4 star pack $495 i do think it will be a hard sell out show for mohegan sun at the high ticket prices. So I am not rushing to buy tickets until i have the cash for it so i am going to wait on this one i believe hope she brings out sisters of the moon and tracks from buckingham nicks and alot of songs that we have not heard yet live would be nice and no cover songs they have enough of there own music. i dont think it will be a sell out show in connecticut I am big fan like everyone else here and being going to the shows since 1986. I do hope to go to at least 2 two shows on this tour if i can't go to connecticut if its sold out i will try for boston and new york shows.:blob1::wavey:

You know why? They probably don't know it themselves.
Once upon a time, I worked for a PBS station, and during our pledge drives, we gave away tickets. We NEVER had the tickets before the drive. All they would do is put aside a "block" for us, and then we'd get the actual tickets after we gave them the total. And, if our number exceeded the number they held for us...well, a lot of fancy footwork had to take place.

Exclusive gift could be a laminate, shirt, cap, or a picture of the band with the date of the concert on it in an ILAA frame. That's what they were for Def Leppard's packages.

at the VIP Prices you should get front row seats and a meet and greet along with the dinner and drinks i love them to death but at these prices at these hard times for everyone is raping the fans its not about the music anymore its about how much money we can take from our die hard fans I look at it this way they have more money than i would ever see and to go broke over it is crazy so if i do miss out on this tour i would not be disappointed cause it will probably be a repeat of the say you will tour which was awesome but i would be more excited if there was a new cd involved.

I did a package for a Tom Petty show back in 2006. I can't really remember if it was with ILAA or not. I do know that the ticket I got was not the best and that people who bought tickets before me got worse seats. The package was $250.00 which wasn't too bad and you got $100.00 in a coupon to use at the TP store so I took a chance. I got 10 row and it was off to the side. Not happy with that seat.
Thankfully, I did end up getting a 10 row center ticket on Ticketmaster the morning of the show and was so glad I bought it. I would never, ever spend $795.00 for a seat that could be in the 10 row over to the side. Sadly you won't even know until right before the show starts. Sorry, I don't like surprises.

It is a money grubbing scheme of Eagles proportions,If they had toured AFTER the release of the CD I'd have thought about going to see them but this is just a blatant ripoff..Greatest hits WTF?!. and I'm afraid the biggest hypocrite here is Lindsey as he once ridiculed LA Nicks for her 'lounge act' solo show.Mick as we know is as greedy as **** and Nicks has already began the oldies jukebox touring act for years now.

I don't like the idea of not knowing where my seat will be when I'm paying that much money for tickets, either. Jeez. I would rather forsake all the trinkets you get with the ILAA package and give the money to a broker so I know exactly how close I will be instead of ending up in the last possible row, way off to the side (because with my luck, I'd probably also end up behind a drunken barbershop quartet tribute band of 7 foot tall Mick impersonators on stilts and unicycles - oh well...Oh Well...OH Well....OH WELLLLLLLLLL).

Let's not get carried away here.
A Greatest Hits show is not a lounge act. It's Fleetwood Mac giving MOST of the people in the arena exactly what they want. They gave us new songs during SYW and that was a good many people's cue to leave and pee.
And, no one has a gun to anyone's head to buy tickets.

And, Lindsey has said in interviews that they were going out, for a little bit, to see how they worked together and test the waters before going into the studio to hopefully record some new stuff. It's a band. In spite of his efforts, he doesn't control everything. I'm sure if he had his druthers, they would be recording new stuff first. But, that might not be what the other three feel at all.

I agree. I also think that touring can help any new material they may work on. Make them more cohesive as a band. Plus, touring always seems to give Stevie and Lindsey plenty of material for songs.

Yeah, I know that. But, it WAS years ago and it wasn't about doing a greatest hits act. It was about relying too much on FM songs rather than her solo career. And that quote was from 1984. Time to let the past go.

Right now, if they want to do a Greatest Hits tour, let's face it--30+ years in the 'biz' qualifies them. (And I'm not happy about it, don't get me wrong. But, I can see why they are doing it). But, IMO, Lindsey is the one who pushes them to create, rather than re-create, more than anyone else in FM.

So, I just thought that was an unfair thing to say when he has NOW been quoted as saying they will go out for a little while, test the waters, and then hopefully hit the studio for new music.

Yes, the prices for the packages suck big time. But, the only way to get them to stop with the All Access stuff is to not buy those tickets. Plain and simple. Same thing with the brokers. Those tickets, eventually, make their way right back into the ticketmaster pool IF people don't buy them.

So, we did get the Mick Fleetwood Vip 5* package. We paid $1,840 for 2 packages. I think that it would be really decent if more members would come out and meet with us. I think that with as much money as I have put into this group and the support that I have given (and for nealr 2,000 bucks...) I deserve a little something. I appreciate the chance. I think that this is great. I admire Mick for saying, "yeah, I'll do it." I know that Stevie isn't all about coming out before a show, but... IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE... I am sure that Lindsey will be hanging out somewhere. To meet him would be too much for me. Meeting Stevie was WAY TOO much! LOL I have no idea what I will say to Mick. I wish I knew where that "lounge act" comment was in the BLA. Lindsey referred to both Stevie's & Christine's then-recent shows as lounge acts, & I think what he meant was that they were presenting their solo shows straight up, no chaser -- too reliant on performance decisions that had already been made by Fleetwood Mac. He would have preferred them to present their respective shows with new ideas: for arrangements, for staging, for this & that. He might have worded it: reimagine the material.

By the time he himself got around to touring solo, that's largely what he did. Even recently, the motif of his gigs was to pare down, to get at the essentials (essential oils are wrung) by stripping away traditional rock combos in favor of invigorated setups: not just the number of backup players used but the approach to orchestration & presentation. In Stevie's case, every time she tours, she tours with a traditional rock band behind her. They play the songs traditionally, they pace the show traditionally, they do everything traditionally. Stevie's shows are always normative rock concerts. I think this is what Lindsey meant by "lounge act."

Of course, these differences get to the very heart of the musical & personality differences between the two.

I plan to post as many pics as I can. I just hope that the show will not get cancelled due to weather. Weather, from what I understand in Michigan, can be bad at that time of year.

I thought, "I HAVE TO HAVE A FRONT ROW SEAT!" Initially, that was my approach. After I thought about it, I decided that being front row would limit my view of John, who I pay CLOSE attention to. He is still in it for the music. I also think that front row would limit my view of Mick.

I figure it this way: I get to meet mick. I have met stevie. I have met Carlos, and Sharon. If I am a few rows back, but certainly in the first 5 I will be the happiest camper. Ever.

That and... it's the mac. Regardless of MY seat, they will give me my money worth. Always have. They are the one group I have grown to depend on for that.

Oh, it's a great experience, I agree. I just don't think it's worth more than what I paid for my first car. Most people (myself included) who have shaken Stevie's hand did so for the regular ticket price; most who have met Mick & LB have done so before or after shows outside the venues or in hotel lobbies - for FREE.

But to each their own. Whatever makes people happy. I guess the guarantee of meeting Mick is enough to justify spending that amount of money for some fans. I just hope people aren't disappointed & that they actually DO get great seats AND get to meet some of the band, as promised.

I know a lot of Eagles fans who have gone this route. The ones who get front row/second row center enthusiastically endorse it. The problem is that you just don't know. It's basically an officially endorsed broker ticket with no guarantee to be in the first five rows, but with some goodies as an attempt to make it worth your while. I think they also hope that your loyalty to the band will encourage you to go this "official" route instead of buying a broker ticket where you know where you're gonna sit. Another marginal "upside" is that it is less expensive than some broker tickets (although Pittsburgh first row center broker was $650).

Eagles fans have kind of been eased into this since the Eagles have been doing it for years. I'm curious to see if Mac fans will be as willing to shell out. Mick's appearance may work to their advantage, as no Eagles volunteered to show up as part of their VIP packages. I think Azoff is hoping that the same well-to-do middle-aged people who buy the Eagles VIP packages also like Fleetwood Mac.

If you want the first few rows at face value, your best bet is waiting to buy 'til the last minute.

So Fleetwood Mac are now following the ever mercenary Eagles lead with former nemesis Irving Azoff at the helm..Unless they come up with something original for these shows I guess I'll be sitting this one out."Unleashed greatest hits?! :laugh:Please.

Stevie would probably pay that much to meet and "greet" Joe.

Michele

His new wife might say ok to "meety" but No to "greety"... :D

To shed some light on the meet & greet with Mick package, you can buy an ILAA Eagles 5 Star package and meet Joe Walsh all for a total of $5,190.

I just went on the i love all access site to check out the eagles and i did come across that meet and greet package with joe and it also includes an autograph guitar i am not sure if its all of the eagles signed it or just joe walsh. They are friggin crazy no body is worth that i dont care who you are even if your die hard fan to go broke to meet joe walsh is nutz.:blob2::blob1:

I think I'd prefer to spend two and a half bucks and go down to the local dive bar and meet a wet brain..I'm pretty certain the conversation would be about the same.

I'd pay that to meet and photos with stevie, but you know she won't do it unless I guess an Ariz heart show.

Yeah, there was one at the Cal State Fullerton fund raiser last year, but you had to buy a whole table to get one. I think if you bought an entire table (10 tickets) then 2 people would get the meet and greet. I bought a single seat for $1500 and there was no "meet and greet." All I got was parking and a program.

I see that Reba McIntire is the Cal State Fullerton entertainer this year.

For that sort of money I'd want Stevie to spend the night!

Seriously though, who'd pay that much to meet Joe Walsh?

Well, to be fair, the guitar does make all the difference. I still wouldn't do it, but I'm not a guitarist. Michele

Not me, chief. I'd be too worried I was paying a pile of money only to have him later refer to me as just a road lay, even though I wrote a song about that one time he drove me to hell and gone in order to gawk at a drinking fountain...

Just be glad Joe Walsh never made it to President...I know this is totally off topic but anyone remember how he used to run back in the '80s? Wasn't his platform free gas for all Americans, and the fact that he had never lied to the American people?

Free gas funded by ridiculous amounts of $ spent by Eagles fans to say hi to him?

I don't see anything about a meet'n'greet with Joe Walsh anywhere on the ILAA site. What am I missing?

And yeah, Joe Walsh said some tacky things in the past, but he was drunk all the time then. He is clean now and Stevie has forgiven him. Why not give the guy a break? He's been a good boy for over a decade at this point.

In fact, here's what he said about Stevie in 2000:

Walsh: You know that album [The Confessor] really was Stevie Nicks' idea. She picked the name and helped me with the artwork and she and I were best of friends there for about two years and we hung out a lot together and helped each other write and stuff like that. Just being around her had an awful lot to do with the vibe of that album. She's a good witch!

Mark Lane: (laughs) She is! Well I liked her before but I love her now.

Walsh: Yeah. I love her a lot. She's one of my favourite people ever.

I got a package for Long Island, so if first row tickets come up at the last minute on that show, I am going to assume that my seat will be in the first row too. Of course, I'll probably end up being disappointed somehow.

Rumors (Ha!) of Another Fleetwood Mac Reunion

Well, I suppose you should start saving now (that is, of course, only if you get off on seeing once great bands reunite to play just-barely acceptable versions of their awesome old songs to a depressingly aged audience trying to recapture their youth), because this ****’s gonna be expensive. Fleetwood Mac is talking about playing some shows in the first half of 2009, possibly with new material (ew) and possibly without. There’s talk of Sheryl Crow joining the band to replace Christine McVie, who peaced out a bunch of years ago. Although, it would seem Crow thinks this is more definite than Lindsey Buckingham does: When he heard that she was talking to the press about it, he was all, like, “Whaaaa? She’s crazy… We ain’t decided **** yet.” So stupid, her. I’m gonna listen to “Second Hand News” now.
