I chose option 1 but would also be happy with option 3. Also why couldn't the TV ads be included as a special feature in all of the options.

Nick.

Option 4 because it includes a non- Dance version of "Landslide", an "Over My Head" clip, some vintage FM, and an alternate version of "Silver Springs"(Wetten Das).

My only real disappointment is that all four options omit "Songbird" from the compilation. :distress: :distress: :distress:

It was close between Option 2 & 4, but I voted for 4 because of the rare Silver Springs version. Like the last post, I only wish Songbird had been included. I'll still be satisfied with whatever wins.

I voted for #2:

Why? "Oh Well" No Fleetwood Mac DVD should be without it. :wavey:

DISCLAIMER: Just so you know what you're voting for, that "alternate version" of "Silver Springs" is not a live recording, its a bad lip-sync job from German television. :distress:

That's exactly why I suggested in the thread where we were all figuring out what to put on the dvd that we simply suggest a song list and let Ken Callait and whoever else is going to put this thing together to pick out the footage or videos. Surely they could have arranged something professional. I'm sure that's not the only performance or video that people don't know what they're voting for! :( Oh Well

I wish one had Rhiannon from Rosebud and GYOW from the Japan special. :-(
Nevertheless, any would be wonderful. I finally voted, but my head hurts from thinking about all of them. :-)

I find it a little hard to believe that Songbird didn't make any of these options. You'd think that song would almost HAVE to be there, considering its importance in the live shows.

Hi,
about the alternate of Silver Springs, I thought it I'd put a different version on there even though they are lip singing to The Dance version. But it was just a different performance that maybe not everyone has seen. Yeah I hate lip singing performances. But hey it's a different performance of Silver Springs!

And about Songbird, I did suggest putting Songbird at the end but I didn't know which version to pick. And it is pretty funny that none of them have Songbird. Maybe it'll go on the next one...if we even get to see the first DVD released!!!

Anyways any list will do as long as we get more Mac stuff on DVD!!!

Hey Johnny Stew or Les can we change our votes????
Since I didn't realize that the alternate version of Silver Springs was a "poor" lyp-synch version, I'd like to switch my vote from option 4 to option 2...please! This is worse than butterfly ballots.

Hey Les,

I was just thinking since almost everyone wants Songbird to be on the list, whichever lists wins then maybe we should vote on or you can pick which version of Songbird they like best and add it on to the end of the DVD.

Anyways just a suggestion and a thought.
Well I must eat, I am starving!

I have been thinking the same thing for the last day as jwd. Both Option 2 & 4 were so close for me. The only reason that I went with 4 was because of Silver Springs. I had no idea that it wasn't a live performance. Also, the idea about Songbird is a good one. It's hard to believe a best of compilation wouldn't include any version of Songbird.

I don't understand why everyone wants 'Songbird' on this DVD. The way it stands now, Chris has most of the songs on three of the options. If everyone wants 'Songbird' added, then why not just replace 'Everywhere' with 'Songbird'.
I don't think 'Songbird' is the MOST important song FM ever did. A lot of people, not us on the Ledge, wouldn't even really know it.
Plus, it's on The Dance and the Mirage video if you want to see it.

Option 1 gets my vote.

Please note that I'm unable to use the poll format. I guess it has to do with my ISP. You'll have to manually add my vote to the final result.

#2 was immediately knocked off my list because it doesn't have "why". ;) i had a tough time choosing between the other 3 though! i ended up choosing #3. but like everyone else, there is something i would change if i had the power.... replace "albatross" with "oh well"...... oh well. :)

Joe & Macfac 57 - I cannot manually change your votes, but Marty is looking into the possibility that he may be able to trace what you voted for the first time and switch it to a different option. We can't make any promises though. It may take some effort to track the information down, so it's not something that can be done easily. If anyone else wants to change their votes, they need to speak up now and say so before the voting ends. Any requests for changes will not be accepted after the voting ends.

As there is now a great demand for Songbird, we may be able to slap some version of Songbird into the list that wins, but we don't really have time to vote on this any more. Marty really needs to get the list to Ken as soon as he can. Given the time limit on the footage we can include, it's possible that we may not be able to keep Songbird though.

The versions of Songbird that I'm aware of on the vault list are from the Japan footage, Tusk Documentary, Mirage Concert, and the Dance. I'll select a version from one of those performances (though probably not from the Dance as I'm aware that many people really don't want any more Dance footage than may already be included). If you have preferences, state them now before the voting ends. I'm going to lock this thread when the voting is completed.

Thanks!

Thanks for your consideration Les.

If I can switch my vote I'd like to vote for Option 1. I originally wanted to switch it to Option 2 but since have been informed that it's version of Hypnotized cuts off before the song ends with "visible time codes" on it. UGH! So anyway I'd like to vote for number 1.

As far as the footage of Songbird I would like included, either the Japan one or Tusk Documentary. Really it doesn't make a difference as long as it's on there. It's such an important song of Fleetwood Mac's. I mean after all they closed their concerts with it as long as I can remember. It's a signature song of Chris's and Fleetwood Mac's...to NOT include it would be ridiculous.

hi All...
I think it would be a shame not to include Lindsey's version of 'Hypnotized', if the footage is available. A gem like this is worthy of preservation in digital format, regardless of its condition...

Hi--

I went into the MySQL database and manually changed Joe's vote to #1 but it isn't being reflected in the poll here. I don't exactly know why and honestly just don't have hours to dig through the coding and support forums to figure it out right now. We'll have to just manually adjust yours and MacFac57's in the end as well as add Karen's. From what I understand the next version of this software will have many enhancements to the voting features but that is likely months off.

Sorry...I did try. :distress:

Since I just noticed that Why is not on No. 2 & because of Hypnotized, I would like to change my vote from No. 4 to No. 1. I don't think that a lot of us are completely sure of what exactly we are voting for, since we haven't seen all of the footage that is in the vault. I would definitely like Songbird to be included at the end of whichever list is the winner. They have closed their live concerts with Songbird since the Rumours tour. It's not a very long song, I can't imagine that it couldn't be fit in there somehow. I would prefer the Mirage version, but I'd be happy with any version, just so it's there. I'm not too thrilled with 3 songs from the Dance being on No. 1, but having Songbird on there would at least make up for it.

Oh my.

Option 3 has 18 votes.
Option 1 has 15 votes, but manually adding in the votes from Joe, macfan57 and Karen -- that's 18 too.

Its a tie. Okay . . . gotta figure out what to do from here. I'll post again a little later.
