Since everyone is complaining about the Timespace one I thought I'd skip it and go to the Street Angel one. enjoy

Vote for your LEAST favorite song...

Round 1 will end Friday(Nov. 7) @ 4pm
I am ending it early because I will be working the Holiday Fair at the church I work at.

Even if you can skip over the forgotten chimpanzee, it's still not pretty.

Aren't there like 2 or 3 songs off this album that are any good? Unconditional Love is definitely the worst, far as I'm concerned.

I voted Rose Garden

^ I LOVE Unconditional Love. Aw well.

Nobody seems to be able to agree on which two or three songs are the good ones, is the problem. ;)

I have to admit. I have only listened to this album once since I bought it a year ago. And I didn't even listen to the whole album. Still haven't. I just can't force myself. I can't get into it at all.

I did listen to Love Is Like A River and I kinda liked it. So I hope it wins I guess. Haha.

I can't believe people think Docklands is worse than Unconditional Love.

"The one condition of love is there are none at all." Gag me. Has there ever been a more trite lyric in the history of the world? And that vocal! *cringe*

Destiny, Street Angel, and Blue Denim. What was on the box set, basically. The rest is pretty much garbage.

I wholeheartedly agree with this comment.

One of my least favorites is actually 'Rose Garden'. When the time comes for me to vote that one off, 'Kick It' will sink with it. Unfair, 'Kick It' is my second favorite on the album. See? It's crap sandwich versus Snickers bar. Grrrr.

^ No Pete, you don't vote for BOTH of them. You vote for the option and specify in a post which ONE you've voted for. Only one goes at a time. As has always been on these.

Markolas, there are many songs I would take from this album over Destiny. Most in fact. The chorus is annoying, and she sounds like she's on death's door the entire song. It's just unlistenable, to me. *shrugs* That's me.

Rose Garden to go. I don't get the Docklands hate. Is it the laundromat line?

If Blue Denim wins, people will say we only like the singles again.

As for Docklands, that reminds me that Stevie must have some good laundromat stories in her. We know she used to wash their clothes. She talks about washing $100 dollar bills in their jeans, when they first joined FM. I'm sure she had one of the Lucy moments where she put too much soap detergent in the machine. Bubbles overflowed, flooding the place . . .

Docklands. Good to see that most so far are agreeing with this choice. Damn the song has no melody what so ever. Reminds me of Welcome to the Room Sara. Both just kinda plod along there isn't an ounce of inspiration anywhere.

I just listened to Destiny which i have not heard in a long long time and there is a real longing in this song and a sense of time passing. She sounds very sad and mournful.

lol, I find it funny that all these face offs just prove that I like bad music. I was actually listening to "Docklands" when I clicked on this thread. I happen to like it. I voted for "Destiny." It's so boring to me.

this album had SO much potential
if she left the original versions on

i.e Unconditional Love/Greta

some of the versions on here make me hate the song
and i dont
i'm gonna have to make my own version and post it here

Jane/Just Like a Woman  can't stand them

what's this DOcklands hate? LOL it's awesome

I vote for Unconditional Love
this version is god awful

Just Like a Woman isn't too bad, I must say. Docklands isn't really that bad either - there are some real doozies on this album, but those are two of the least offenders, IMO.

Just like a woman needs to go, of all the Dylan songs to choose from, why she chose this, I have no clue, I really think that she could do a different Dylan song justice:angel:

I have always liked Docklands, too!! Ha! Ha! That figures...

Anyway... I voted for Destiny...

Even back in 1994, I really wasn't able to get into this song...

I almost liked the box set version... but I stress almost...

Next to go has got to be the cringefest that is Rose Garden... Yucko to that one, too.

I voted for Blue Denim. I just can't stand that song. It's such a weak single. It better not win.

To me, Docklands is the single worst thing Stevie has ever released. Nonetheless, I would still like to hear the original by Betsy Cook.

I actually like this album more than others give it credit for I guess.

The sincere love the people have for 'Blue Denim' truly baffles me. There must be something about this song that I totally miss because for years I've been reading about how this song , 'got me into stevie', 'is always on my ipod', 'is so rockin', etc... and I have never ever once listened to it for the pure enjoyment factor. It's always just been there.

Can't stand Jane. It's the one vocal that makes me cringe. She is flat throughout, especially the "There are angels here...." it's terrible. So Jane gets my vote.

Blue Denim is definitely more superficial than most of Stevie's songs, but I do think it rocks. I'm not saying it's one of her Top 10 best songs, but I'd say it's well worth the price of the album.

Good lord, this thread is turning into a real downer.

I'm one of the Blue Denim lovers. I adore the lyrics. They speak to me as someone who's had a great love, lost it, and encountered him again a few years down the road... I just think it's brilliant. Don't get the hate at all. But that's me.

I'm actually rooting for Kick It to win. But everyone seems to hate everything, so it's a bit tough to tel wat's going to happen just yet.

everyone hates everything?

I don't think anyone has said anything about Gretta or Kick It yet...[two of my top 3 songs on here, plus Maybe Love...]
Unless I need to go back and read some posts.

I voted for just like a woman, like I've stated,
But I really want Gretta to win. :)

Kick it for the win! Or maybe love. But i do like greta. and blue denim.
BOTH Blue Denim and Maybe Love have *single* mixes that are slightly better than the album.
