How cool is John, some may ask, just read his answer to my Q&A question from Jan.2007:

"Hi Brian, Thanks for the question, Yes there's a few times. And I can go on for quite a while! SO AT THE RISK OF BORING YOU...
The first was on the first trip to Hawaii. I've done six. On a 43' Ketch called "Adelie". Back in the '70's. It was a night watch but with a moon. Just myself on watch with a 4 man crew total. The lads were below and asleep. We were about halfway to Hawaii. The swells were getting bigger , it was a following sea, and in the moonlight I turned around because I could hear this "roar' and I swear I saw this wave that was so big, higher than the mast which was about 50-60', I just hunched down and waited for it. I was strapped in but I really thought that "This is it". It broke just behind us! Talk about " Pass my Brown trousers!".

Another was off Cape Hatteras, going up from St Thomas to Bar Harbor, Maine. This time on a 63' Sparkman and Stephens Aluminum sloop, "Challenge". Just at sunset a squall came up from nowhere. Again, I was driving and the wind was so damned strong and came up so quick we couldn't reef in time so we were laid right over and again, i thought,"This is it, we're going to drive ourselves under". The rain was coming horizontally, you couldn't even look forward, it was so painful. Like BB Pellets. Finally managed to fire up the engine,fall off the wind and get the lads up, drop the headsail and put two reefs in the main. The engine saved us. It was very close.

Anyway, there's a lot more stories. Encounters with Whales, Real Pirates, Smugglers, that I won't bore you with. Thank you for reminding me of this ! I have'nt thought about this in a long while and I think I'll dig my Log Books out. All the best! John AAAAARGH MATEY!!!

"It was amazing to be able to hang out with John McVie and the band (Fleetwood Mac) at their rehearsal studios today. I got to present John with an amazing Carvin bass he ordered that we had the pleasure of making just for him! It was truly touching to see how much he LOVED his new Carvin bass. I was told by the guitar tech that John must truly love his bass as he has never been the kind of guy that sits alone on stage fiddling with his instruments. That's when I took the opportunity to capture this picture of John McVie sitting alone, "fiddling" with his new bass. :) "

Offhand, I can't think of any. He does have pretty eyes. They kind of, um, droop or something making you want to comfort him :o. I bet they made him kind of a cute kid.

Getting good shots of John is SO hard this tour. He seems even MORE velcro'd to his spot than normal =( Gotta figure how to re-size so I can post here. Got one with a lovely blue hue. Sometimes he still looks like he digs it, other times, seems he just wants to go home. Poor guy-I hope there is still some zest in gigging for him :nod:

I only very recently saw the video of the Tusk photoshoot on Youtube, the part where Stevie and John pretend to make out is hilarious :laugh: John definitely has the bedroom eyes thing going on.

I actually thought he seemed unwell when I saw him in videos this tour, but it's just that he appears to have lost a little weight and is more static than usual. I guess it's maybe age. Plus he hasn't appeared in any interviews that I've seen; he sometimes sits through them, even when the others do all the talking.

I can't imagine he's tired of gigging. It's what he loves to do.

I don't think John would ever tire of gigging. He and Mick would go around and play until they literally drop dead. :laugh:

Gotta love him, though. I consider myself John's female counterpart. We'll just be there, do our thang and not give a single **** about everything happening. Oh and he's inclined with technology, which is plus points for me.
